Advances in exoskeletons for military use 军用外骨骼的进展

Development and use of exoskeletons worldwide have fostered many applications aimed at occupational health care and safety in multiple areas of industry, including the military. This article presents a systematic review of advances in exoskeletons used for various tasks performed by military personnel. In addition, a systematic review of scientific literature obtained from multidisciplinary bases and the field of occupational health has been carried out. Various technologies and exoskeleton designs assist in specific areas of the body where exertion can cause musculoskeletal disorders. Exoskeletons provide additional torque to multiple joints decreasing physical fatigue and increasing performance in physically demanding tasks. Most exoskeletons used in the military employ electric actuators and have been developed for the hip and knee region.

This paper presents an engineering design that promotes cleaner production in silicone cutlery design. The idea seeks to motivate the consumer to maintain a healthy life by eating food made at home. For this, they propose cutlery of easy transfer and comfortable use for different tastes. The idea is driven by the search for new food proposals contributing to environmental conservation in eating implements. The main results show that the proposal is feasible and that waste consumption is considerably reduced with an appropriate cleaner production plan.

In the following work, you will find the research carried out to understand in a more feasible way the analysis of the simple pendulum since this study helps to understand many aspects found in everyday life, such as the operation of a clock. For this, a model was made to carry out all the necessary measures to process the data obtained. It was observed that there is a variation of the average time depending on its length, so applying statistical principles, where taking several samples, it was possible to visualize a natural phenomenon, applying an analysis based on engineering for gravity calculation, analytically and graphically.

This document describes the challenges associated with integrating and implementing Industry 4.0 technologies. A systematic review was conducted, considering scientific articles in occupational safety and health. Several factors contributed to a challenge to be resolved for those responsible for the well-being of workers in the industry. The use of technology, its dependence, its needs, and other aspects related to the dependence on the use of technology contribute to occupational safety and health risks that are psychosocial and have a direct impact on the performance of the company, so that workplace risk plans must be restructured taking into account these new challenges.

The research aims to introduce the theory of the natural response of electrical circuits to studying thermoelectricity and the characterization of thermoelectric devices and materials. New equations were found to calculate the thermal resistance of the contacts Rcold and Rhot, the thermal conductance K0, and the figure of merit ZT. Furthermore, it permits determining characteristic time constants τ0, τ1, τ2, and relaxation times and calculating the thermoelectric capacitances related to the device, material, and thermal contacts. Also, the characteristic angular frequencies are predicted ω0, ω1and, ω2. The described theory satisfies Newton’s law of cooling, Luttinger’s thermal transport coefficients theory, and the first and second-order electric circuit’s behavior. Additionally, it makes available the prediction of the transport coefficients and the characterization in situ. Like Harman’s method, these parameters can be measured simultaneously on the same device or sample.

This paper characterizes the state of the art in the mechanical properties of bone. It seeks new avenues aligned with non-invasive characterizations to fit better and produce innovative technologies within the biomedical implant field and early detection of bone diseases. It is concluded that the combination of these methods and non-invasive techniques contribute significantly to obtaining the mechanical properties of the bones, which could be extremely useful in the early detection of bone diseases, development of biological models, and performing mechanical analysis with the intent to predict abnormal biological behaviors in human beings.

This document provides a bibliographic review of factors and aspects affecting the environment, its resources, and biodiversity through the presence, proximity, and operation of power plants or renewable and/or clean energy facilities. Although these types of energy sources contribute to a reduction in environmental impact, their implementation and operation require physical land, use chemical substances, release gases from various processes that impact fauna and flora, and generate environmentally harmful waste if the processes are not fully controlled. A systematic study was carried out, taking into account the basics of scientific articles from journals related to environmental studies, looking for and identifying the negative impacts of renewable and clean energy production. The negative impacts caused by the production of energy and non-conventional energy include a considerable number of negative factors, whose effects increase proportionally.

Evaluation of the compressive strength of traditional elements used in masonry 传统砌体构件抗压强度评价

This work aimed to characterize the typical elements used in masonry made in the city of Cuenca (Ecuador) and said characterization was related to the property called compressive strength (UCS). These pieces are made in artisan factories for a long time and maintain a routine using materials and methodology. Its use is widespread. The elements referred to are adobe, brick, concrete, or cement block. To assess the compressive strength of these components, 30 specimens were made from each group, specimens with approximate dimensions of 5x5x10 cm, and submitted to the respective test with the appropriate equipment. The results present values that must be considered and concluded with observations that can improve certain aspects of the elements studied.

These pieces are made in artisan factories for a long time and maintain a routine using materials and methodology. Its use is widespread. The elements referred to are adobe, brick, concrete, or cement block. To assess the compressive strength of these components, 30 specimens were made from each group, specimens with approximate dimensions of 5x5x10 cm, and submitted to the respective test with the appropriate equipment. This paper presents the advances and characteristics of air defense systems technically. The information is derived from a systematic review of technical databases dealing exclusively with military defense against airborne threats. Many advances have been developed in which Artificial Intelligence AI already plays a fundamental role, in some cases enabling decisions to be made with a greater probability of success and precision than with decisions and the speed of human reactions.
