The Influence of BYOD on Results of Students' Learning 自带设备对学生学习效果的影响

This work analyzes the influence and efficiency of BYOD for learning students and academic perfection. The relevance of mobile technologies for learning has been substantiated. The influence of BYOD on academic performance of undergraduate students in terms of their test scores and final course marks, as well as on quality of work on selected course projects and on level of satisfaction with the BYOD course, has been experimentally studied. It has been proved that BYOD exerts positive influence on learning and academic achievements of students measured by their academic test scores, by their final marks and quality of their classroom work, as well as that the implementation of BYOD will stimulate and motivate students, thus affecting their level of involvement and creation of independent learning. The experimental results should be used as a guide for persons making decisions as well as for practical specialists in the field of education, especially in the area of BYOD and mobile learning, which will save significant expenses for stationary learning (for instance, concerning desktop computers, projectors, etc.). Scientific novelty of the studies is that the influence of BYOD on academic performance of students in terms of their test scores and final course marks, as well as on quality of students’ work on selected course projects and on level of satisfaction with the BYOD course, has been comprehensively analyzed.

Social Networks as a Means of Monitoring Students’ Progress 社交网络作为监控学生进步的手段

In the era of the digital educational environment, where each participant of the educational process is actively involved in its development, the Internet and its services have become a popular tool. Open education network tools are defined as ICT tools that ensure the formation and maintenance of network electronic information resources of an open education environment, the implementation of design technologies, and the use of open pedagogical systems. The article aims to reveal methods of monitoring and analyzing students’ learning achievements in higher education institutions using social networks. The main research method was a survey. The article justifies the purposefulness and efficiency of the use of social networks in the process of monitoring and analyzing students’ progress for new learning achievements. The study concludes that the use of social networks for monitoring and analyzing students’ progress ensures the individualization of the learning process and increases the effectiveness of monitoring learning achievements.

The Potential of The Electronic Information-Educational Environment of A University In Professional Education: Trends And Prospects 高校电子信息教育环境在职业教育中的潜力:趋势与展望

At present, the educational paradigm of professional education shows a tendency to change towards the creation of electronic information-educational environments of universities. This trend is determined by the global conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as national state interests. The problem of the study lies in substantiating the potential of the electronic information-educational environment of a university in professional education in the context of global changes. The goal of the study is to reveal the potential of university electronic information-educational environments in professional education and identify the trends and perspectives of creating electronic information-educational environments of higher education institutions. Results: A characteristic of the electronic information-educational environment of a university is provided, and its components and resources are identified. The predominant tendencies in the development of e-learning in modern professional education are revealed. The advantages of electronic information-educational environments of universities in professional education are allocated. The prospects for the development of electronic information environments of universities are substantiated.

Social Practices of Young People in The Moscow Region Associated with The Spread of The Covid-19 Pandemic 与新冠肺炎疫情蔓延有关的莫斯科地区年轻人的社会实践

The COVID-19 pandemic has spread rapidly around the world and has had significant impact on changing the social practices of everyday behavior and interpersonal communication of people. In Russia, the Moscow Region was one of the leaders in the number of people infected with COVID-19. Therefore, the focus of the present study is on the everyday social practices of students in the Moscow Region during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the attitude of young people to restrictions and measures aimed at countering the spread of coronavirus infection in the region. The findings of the study are based on the results of a questionnaire survey of more than 2,500 young respondents studying at universities, colleges, and technical schools in the Moscow Region, conducted during the second wave of the pandemic. The conducted analysis has shown that more than half of the respondents admitted that they were afraid of contracting coronavirus and considered it a very dangerous disease. Nevertheless, young people's adherence to safety standards was often due to the strict requirements of the authorities and the public to comply with them. The most common measures taken by respondents to prevent COVID-19 included frequent handwashing with soap, wearing face masks in public places, wiping hands with antiseptic, and avoiding contact with sick people.

The implementation of modern information technologies in education presents a promising direction of the pedagogical science since it makes it possible to prove educational services through a specialized information educational environment – a combination of information resources, technical devices, and telecommunication channels enabling the exchange of educational information at a distance. The goal of the present study is to analyze and identify the opportunities of the Moodle platform in education as a whole and in studying English at a university in particular. The methodological basis of the study is formed by the analysis of the experience of teachers of the Department of English Language, the methods of teaching English, and a survey of experts in the area. Using the Moodle platform in the process of teaching future English teachers allows both teachers and students to easily exchange files, carry out personal communication, and receive feedback. The presented electronic course allows teachers to create their own e-learning courses in foreign languages.

Distance Learning in the Humanitarian Field amid the Coronavirus Pandemic: Risks of Creating Barriers and Innovative Benefits 冠状病毒大流行期间人道主义领域的远程教育:制造障碍的风险和创新效益

The goal of the research is to study the risks and innovative benefits of distance learning. The main research method is an anonymous survey of academic staff (university teachers) and students (future philologists, foreign language teachers), based on the need to clarify the situation associated with the use of distance learning technologies in the conditions of the quarantine. The following data have been obtained in the course of the study: the most significant opportunities for distance learning, the level of satisfaction with distance learning technologies, the compliance with the previously drawn up training schedule in the distance learning conditions, the satisfaction with the promptness of informing about the training schedule, the use of distance learning technologies to provide feedback, the factors that affect the quality of the implementation of distance learning technologies, the teachers' positive experience of using distance learning technologies, the use of distance learning technologies when providing students with lecture materials, as well as the use of information resources of the institution by the students. The results of the study have revealed that both students and teachers are aware of the need to work in a distance learning environment, but the coronavirus pandemic has created new risks for the higher education system, which require an innovative approach to overcoming barriers in the distance learning system. The results of the article can be used in the organization of distance learning at a humanitarian university.

The article deals with the study of historical aspects of children's choir singing in church tradition. The author considers characteristic features and origins of children's church choir singing. The reasons for using children's choir singing in Christian churches are investigated. The author characterizes the features of the conditions for utilization of children's choir singing in Christian churches. The distinction between children's church choir singing in the Orthodox East and Catholic West is shown. Children's choirs in Catholic churches were formed mainly from among orphan boys from orphanages at temples or monasteries. In the Catholic society of that time, childhood was not yet considered as a special status. Social assistance to children was included in the general program of care for unprotected segments of the population. However, they were destined for a compulsory religious education. In Orthodoxy, choir singing, along with the ability to read and write, was considered a necessary factor in the education of the ruling class and literate clergy. Thus, a more meaningful and profound educational program for future adults was introduced. The distinction between children's church choir singing in the Orthodox East and Catholic West is shown. Children's choirs in Catholic churches were formed mainly from among orphan boys from orphanages at temples or monasteries. In the Catholic society of that time, childhood was not yet considered as a special status. Social assistance to children was included in the general program of care for unprotected segments of the population. However, they were destined for a compulsory religious education. In Orthodoxy, choir singing, along with the ability to read and write, was considered a necessary factor in the education of the ruling class and literate clergy. Thus, a more meaningful and profound educational program for future adults was introduced. Young teachers’ professional identity in the conditions of social, labor, and digital transformation of Russian society 俄罗斯社会、劳动和数字化转型条件下青年教师的职业认同

In society, there is a perception of young teachers as the future of the Russian education system who need constant patronage due to their lack of professional experience and skill. However, young teachers present not only a professional resource for the future of Russian education but also a social group with its own interests and values that is able to make a significant contribution to the development of general education in the present. Study proposes a multidimensional methodological construct of the sociological study of the professional identity of young teachers in Russian society developed within the “soft conception” of identity with consideration of both Russian and foreign theoretical and methodological experience. The internal and external factors for the formation of young teachers’ professional identity, as well as the structure, functions, and the real and ideal types of this identity are identified. The detection of tendencies in the development of real professional identity allows identifying the direction of the transformation of young teachers’ professional identity in Russian society via the comparison with ideal types.

Information Services for the Use of Mind Maps in Teaching: the Experience of University Experimental Work 思维导图在教学中的信息服务:大学实验工作的经验

The purpose of the article is to identify the information services for creating mind maps in the process of linguistic training of future philologists at the seminars. A comparative analysis of the most used software products for creating mind maps was carried out based on an expert survey. The results of this analysis made it possible to choose a software product using mind maps. The results of the pedagogical experiment confirmed the assumption that mind maps are an effective means of mastering the knowledge of future philologists at the seminars. The use of mind maps in the processes of understanding information in the classroom affects the activity of students' listening, makes it possible to systematize information through personal understanding and structuring, and promotes effective memorization. The next areas of scientific research on the presented problem are the analysis of the effectiveness of mind maps in the independent work of students.
