A hardware-in-the-loop simulator based on dynamometers for traction control system 牵引控制系统中基于测功机的硬件在环模拟器

A hardware-in-the-loop simulator based on dynamometers to debug software and hardware of traction control system is examined in this paper, as it is able to shorten developing cycle by providing simulated low-/spl mu/ or split-/spl mu/ road regardless of weather. A dynamometer controller was designed with fuzzy PI method to make the torque of dynamometer regulated to the target resistance torque acted by the ground on driving wheels. Furthermore, the algorithm and hardware of ECU for traction control system were devised. The results of tests on typical roads show that the matching of software and hardware is achieved under the circumstance of the simulator.

Salient building detection in natural image using SVM 基于SVM的自然图像显著性建筑检测

This paper present a novel algorithm via support vector machine to detect the salient buildings whose height and many features make them stand out. Two-level Haar wavelet decomposition is implemented on the image to enhance the building candidates. And then the desired regions are separated from the background. A set of structure features is proposed to capture the generic statistic properties of the salient building using Sobel operator. The proposed approach has been tested on many real examples with good results.

Video streaming on moving vehicles over seamless internetworks of WLANs and cellular networks 移动车辆上的视频流通过无线局域网和蜂窝网络的无缝互联网络

Interworking between wireless LANs and 3G networks is expected to the best models for vehicle communications. This paper presents a video streaming on vehicle over WLAN and CDMA1X. The main objective is to evaluate the conditions and restrictions under which seamless continuity of video sessions across the two networks is feasible. First, it constructs high speed automobile communication environment by wireless access router which can automatically switched between CDMA1X and the WLAN. In order to fit the bandwidths sharply variety of wireless channel, adaptive video compression algorithms based MPEG4 is utilized to encode the high quality video. Moreover, unique transmission mechanism using media server and media gateway is presented, which can support large scale concurrent users up to 1000. This transmission mechanism uses the buffer on media server to smooth the video transport in wireless channel. The live streaming video of mobile can be viewed over Internet and does not need fix IP address. Therefore the networked vehicle can achieve seamless roaming and secured network connectivity anytime and anywhere.

Towards low-cost systems for measuring visual cues of driver fatigue and inattention in automotive applications 在汽车应用中测量驾驶员疲劳和注意力不集中的视觉线索的低成本系统

Recent studies show that driver fatigue and inattention are major causes of fatal road accidents. A large number of these accidents could be avoided if the vehicles were equipped with a) sensors that reliably could monitor the attention and alertness cues of the drivers, and b) systems that, based on the sensor input, could warn the drivers in time. Today, camera-based systems can measure such attention cues, and are tested in automotive in-cabin installations with two or more cameras. Camera-based solutions are non-intrusive, they can measure head position and orientation as well as gaze direction and eyelid closure, and they can be used to identify the driver for other tasks. However until now, no camera-based system has met the requirements from the car manufacturers on compactness and cost. Here we present the principles behind Smart Eye AntiSleep, which is a compact one-camera system specially designed for automotive in-cabin applications. AntiSleep measures 3D head position, head orientation, gaze direction and eyelid closures. AntiSleep uses one camera and two IR-flashes. With its own illumination, AntiSleep is highly robust to all natural illumination conditions and can efficiently handle disturbing reflexes in eyeglasses. The system is fully automatic and requires no manual intervention during initialisation.

Study on errors compensation of a vehicular MEMS accelerometer 车载MEMS加速度计误差补偿研究

Based on micro electronic mechanical system technology, the micro inertial sensors are introduced, and the research and application conditions of MEMS micro accelerometers are also analyzed. Taking auto navigation and testing system as an example, simple mathematical models and compensational methods are developed to correct sensor errors and the validity is evaluated by experimental verification.

Study on model construction of IV lateral motion pattern-space for ITS ITS横向运动模式空间模型构建研究

In order to deal with the nonlinear structure and time-varying characteristics of intelligent vehicle (IV) systems, this paper presents an idea of pattern-space-cover to construct IV lateral motion model. The construction method is deduced based on fuzzy C means (FCM) algorithm and can validate cluster the sampled data set. Cluster domains are clear, and the subspaces are partitioned distinctly. It provides a theoretical basis for the construction of IV motion pattern-space. The simulation results show that the method is effective and feasible.

Highway traffic prediction with neural network and genetic algorithms 基于神经网络和遗传算法的公路交通预测

Traffic prediction method and the correctness of its result are very important for vehicle management, so highway traffic prediction method has a close relationship with vehicle safety. Traditional prediction method has some problems, such as low accuracy and efficiency, so we present a model based on the combination of genetic algorithms and artificial neural network, and by improving these two algorithms in the process of implementation, increase further the accuracy and efficiency of the model. At last, some experiments are made to prove its fine performance.

This paper introduces a data collection method that we used in a project on modeling driver behavior in microscopic traffic simulation. A modern instrumented vehicle was employed to study a crucial element of driver behavior, that of car following, on Swedish roads. The collected car following data shows noisy patterns. To eliminate the measurement noise, Kalman smoothing algorithm is applied to the state-space formulation of the physical states (acceleration, speed and position) of tracked vehicles. The smoothed data shows clear car following patterns and has been further applied in our car following model calibration and validation study.

An self-adaptive traffic signal fuzzy controller with improved GA-online-optimized parameters 一种改进ga在线优化参数的自适应交通信号模糊控制器

This thesis pushes forward a brand-new optimization method on the fuzzy controller realized by the improved GA algorithm at an isolated intersection, which is appropriate for binary code scheme with the constraint upon all three proportional factors. Provided taking on appropriate crossover and mutation operators, plus with classic roulette wheel selection, such an algorithm is able to solve problems like ill-generated individuals and the prematurity, then accelerates the convergence speed correspondingly. On the basis of the optimized membership functions and fuzzy rules, all three proportional factors are to be adjusted to the best simultaneously. The validity of this method has been proven by means of the MATLAB program simulation about the above-mentioned optimized fuzzy controller.

A vehicle anti-theft and alarm system based on computer vision 一种基于计算机视觉的车辆防盗报警系统

Car and light van thefts are increasing alarmingly around the world and new guidelines driven by the insurance companies, are being set for vehicle manufacturers to make their products more secure. POLLUX has been developed as a vehicle guard against theft and alarm system, this security system based upon machine vision technology acids a new level of theft protection to vehicle security systems in a manner that does not intrusive the drivers. It is based on hardware system, for real time acquisition of driver's images using an active IR illuminator. This system can locate and recognize the driver's face, identify the unauthorized driver. When the unauthorized driver is driving, POLLUX will alarm and send the unauthorized driver's image to car owner or police through CDMA or GPRS networks. The system was tested in a simulating environment with subjects of different ages, with/without glasses, and under different illumination conditions, and it was found very robust, reliable.
