As a result of liberalization and the globalization of international trade, factors of production and consumer products come from destinations around the world, and therefore the interdependence of supply chains between suppliers and wholesalers is increasing day by day. In this research, an optimization is carried out for the transportation in the supply chain, which aims to change route because of Russia and Ukraine war. The method is applied to the supply chain of a company that sells ready meals. This study aims to increase the competitive structure in the new market by reducing the cost of a fast food company that does not carry out maritime transport in its supply chain.

DEM Modeling and Optimization of the High Energy Ball Milling 高能球磨的DEM建模与优化

The Discrete Element Method (DEM) is a numerical method for simulating the dynamics of particles processes. This present work focuses on DEM simulations of a scale laboratory planetary ball mill through DEM Altair 2021.2 software to optimize and modulate the milling parameters. The simulation results show a good agreement with the experiments. The numerical model is shown to be a promising tool for the knowledge of dry milling in a planetary ball mill.

This paperwork is aiming to describe the business model for a bunkering process as part of the supply chain network from a Company in Constanta port. The authors have conducted a study of modelling the bunkering process for a ship from the company's fleet, which is moored in the port of Constanta, using the Business Process Modelling tools and methodology. The bunkering process with all its stages will be incorporated in the AuraPortal Helium Modeler program and statistically simulated. This entails putting processes through their paces in fictitious scenarios to discover and quantify any factors that might influence how they are carried out in real life. Bottlenecks, overloads, uneven workload distribution, unnecessary time, expenses, and other issues should be revealed by these activities. The authors will do an actual simulation of the bunkering process in the concluding remarks to reflect the process dynamics issues experienced during the full life cycle.

Influence of Wind Angle Incidence and Architectural Elements on the External Pressure Coefficient of Hyperbolic Paraboloid Roofs 风入射角和建筑要素对双曲抛物面屋顶外压系数的影响

In the study of wind loads in buildings, the aerodynamics of roofs with parabolic shapes, which cause complex pressure distributions due to their sensitivity to wind, are often omitted and neglected by several codes and norms. In this way, computer simulations are a viable and reliable alternative. Here, wind action was considered in an innovative project composed of parabolic and circumferential generatrices: the Church of Saint Francis of Assisi. Designed by Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, two paraboloid vaults and three circular arches of reinforced concrete composed its structure. This work generated great international recognition for the architect after 1943, as the design of the roofs did not require walls. For geometry modeling, Autodesk AutoCAD software was adopted, and the models were considered in a control volume. The simulations were performed using Ansys Workbench software and the RNG K-Epsilon turbulence model. The wind speed at different heights was calculated using the Power-law approximation. A basic wind speed of 30 m/s was adopted, and the mesh used was composed of tetrahedrons. To validate the methodology, different models with hyperbolic-paraboloid roofs from the literature were considered. In addition, the visualization of the flow around the geometry from the streamlines, the wind profile, and the analysis of the isobaric lines of the external pressure coefficients for different directions of incidence and architectural elements that make up the building were presented.

Numerical Investigation of Wind Pressure Coefficients on Different Scallop Dome Configurations 扇贝圆顶不同结构风压系数的数值研究

The effects of the action of wind on scallop domes were numerically investigated using the software Ansys, as well the interference of the neighborhood on the external pressure coefficient and the streamlines between geometrically identical domes. The influence of the proportion on the neighborhood interference in scallop domes and the variations in the dimensions of the structures on the pressure coefficients and streamlines were also investigated. Five simulations were analyzed involving six-grooved domes and geometry height variations for validation. The numerically obtained coefficients were compared with values in the literature. Other applications investigated the influence of grooves on the external pressure coefficient and the effect of wind on the grooved domes. Another application analyzed the interference of the neighborhood on the external pressure coefficients and streamlines between three geometrically identical domes and, finally, the influence of the proportion in the study of the interference of the neighborhood. Here, the variations in the dimensions of the structure affected the pressure coefficients and the streamlines were analyzed. It was possible to verify the versatility and efficiency of the computational method used in the analysis of the action of wind.

Energy Consumption Dynamics and Sustainable Growth in Nigeria 尼日利亚能源消费动态与可持续增长

The paper empirically examined the energy consumption dynamics and sustainable growth in Nigeria using time series data spanning from 1980 to 2020. The major sources of data were from the World Development Index (WDI) and Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Statistical Bulletin various issues. In checking the stationary status of all the data engaged, the paper applied modified Ng-Perron unit root test to check the stationary properties of the series, and the results showed that GDP growth rate (GDPgr) was integrated at level (that is I(0)) while electricity consumption (ECNP), coal consumption (CCNP) and petroleum consumption (PCNP) were integrated of order one (that is, I (1)). This justified the application of Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model of co-integration, whose results revealed that all series exhibited a stable long run relationship among them. The ARDL bound test result showed that the F-statistics was 4.35, which was greater than the upper bounds critical value of 3.79 at 5 percent level of significant. This further showed that the null hypothesis, which postulated that energy consumption dynamics has no significant impact on sustainable growth in Nigeria can be rejected. Based on the above findings, the paper submitted inter-alia that government should establish a renewable biomass as a supplement to energy sources in order to drive a sustainable growth in Nigeria.

Tool Wear Condition Monitoring Using Emitted Sound Signals By Simple Machine Learning Technique 基于简单机器学习技术的刀具磨损状态监测

As a continuous enhancement to the tool wear monitoring using non-disturbing method of sound wave analysis, a simple machine learning technique enhances the prediction to better levels and reduces the procedures. A simple linear regression Algorithm was used to train and predict the trends of various degrees of tool wear to distinguish them from each other. The results based on this simple linear regression were successful in showing the difference of sound patterns and are reported.

The presence of many moving elements in case of trains is the specific problem of railway transport infrastructures. The security of moving elements within the cyber-physical system (CPS) needs, therefore, to be ensured against both physical and cyber intrusion. We will deal with the cyber gateway of the train, which is called a mobile communication gateway (MCG). It is associated with problems of the standard cyber gateway and the problems specific to the moving systems. It is impossi-ble to secure communication between train and control centrum through a closed communication system only, it need to take place through open space because of extensive infrastructure with assistance of ground communication gateway (GCG). The MCG design shall ensure the security functions of the gateway as well as sufficient communication capacity. Our control over environmental conditions of MCG is limited because it is in open space, both physical and cyber, often in motion. The MCG, there-fore, needs to be able to respond dynamically to environmental changes caused by deliberate attacks or unintentional changes in the system. The ability of the adaptability must be given to the MCG in design

Computational Engineering: Mathematical Models in Heat Flow Dynamics Study 计算工程:热流动力学研究中的数学模型

According to the latest educational innovation trends in engineering, new teaching paradigms emerge to achieve higher development in intellectual capacities, acquisition of skills, substitution of outdated techniques for more efficient and fast means, and a better integration of knowledge in the teaching and learning processes. In line with these paradigms, we have set up new pedagogic methodologies together with computer resources to work with the development of functions with a complex variable and Laplace transform from a multidisciplinary view in the subject Advanced Calculus of the Mechanical Engineering Programme. The didactic proposal presented is about systems related with heat transfer in a fluid where the concepts used in the models are approached analytically and graphically making the curricular content meaningful and facilitating the interpretation and conceptualization of the theory.

Mechanical Properties of Al7075 Hybrid Metal Matrix Composites as a functionality of SiO2 % in the RHA Al7075杂化金属基复合材料在RHA中SiO2含量变化时的力学性能

Hybrid metal matrix composites are wide in applications due to their improved mechanical properties. Where the optimum selection of reinforcements becomes necessary for determining the feasibility of producing high-performance metal matrix composites with low cost. Consequently, in Al7075, a hybrid metal matrix composite (MMC) with boron carbide and rice husk ash was reinforced. This current research determines the effect of heating temperature on the production of rice husk ash, and it was discovered that the temperature effect improved the SiO2 content of the rice husk ash (RHA). In addition, the deposition method of RHA into the AI7075 substrate was used as a variable, and the effects on the microhardness and tensile properties of the resultant were investigated. The introduced hybrid MMC was reinforced with 2% boron carbide particles and 5%, 10%, and 15% RHA respectively using the stir casting technique. Hence, mechanical performances like tensile strength, compressive strength, impact tests, and hardness tests were performed efficiently.
