Effect of Using Hyflex Technology Learning on Preservice Teachers' Success and Attitudes 使用Hyflex技术学习对职前教师成功和态度的影响

HyFlex technology-based learning refers to learning that integrates face-to-face (synchronous) and online (asynchronous) learning experiences. In this study, the effects of 'Hyflex Technology-Based Learning' applications on pre-service teachers' achievement, professional attitudes and retention of what is learned compared to traditional teaching were examined. In the study, one of the true experimental design types, pre-test-post-test control group randomized design was used. The application group of the study consisted of a total of 64 pre-service teachers studying in 2 3rd grade classes at the faculty of education of a university in Almaty in the 2022 academic year. In the study, Hyflex technology-based learning in the experimental group and traditional teaching approach in the control group were applied as experimental procedures. The applications in both groups were carried out in 6 sessions and 12 hours in total. Formation course achievement test (Teaching Principles and Methods Course) and attitude towards teaching profession scale were used to collect research data. According to the findings of the study, Hyflex technology-based learning approach was found to be significantly effective in pre-service teachers' professional academic achievement and attitudes compared to traditional teaching.

The Development of Augmented Reality (AR) in Anatomy Course 增强现实(AR)技术在解剖学教学中的应用

The development of Augmented Reality (AR) media is the goal of this research. The research method used in this research activity is development research. This method is carried out in nine steps. Research data were collected through interviews, observation and questionnaires. The instruments used to measure the quality of teaching materials are assessments from material and media experts and student response questionnaires. Based on the validation results by learning media and material experts, the categories "Good", or 79.05% and "Very Good", or 87.67%, were obtained. In a small-scale trial involving ten students, 81.6% was obtained, while in a large group test involving 30 students, 88.8% was obtained. Student responses also showed satisfaction with the developed Augmented Reality (AR) media, namely the "very interesting" criterion. This research is limited to product revisions, and further research should consider mass products. This research has a novelty in learning media: Augmented Reality (AR) in anatomy courses.

Cultural Differences and Coaching Styles of Physical Education Teachers in Hong Kong and Indonesia 香港与印尼体育教师的文化差异与教练风格

The purpose of this study is to make a comparison between training culture in the perspective of digital technology and the approach of middle and upper volleyball coaches in Hong Kong and Indonesia to get reflection or feedback, as well as recommendations from the research results obtained for improvement. the quality of coaches in both countries. Comparative study research method with a questionnaire instrument. Data analysis used t test, or different test. The sample used in this study is a purposive sample from the two countries with the subject being a volleyball coach who practices at high school or equivalent. Data analysis was carried out by comparing the average differences in respondents' answers regarding the use of digital technology and training culture and training style between the two countries. The higher the average, the better the culture and style of training in a country. Data normality analysis with Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Homogeneity with Lavene's Test. The research subjects were 85 high school volleyball extracurricular coaches in Indonesia, and 22 coaches from Hong Kong. The findings of the research results Sig.(2-tailed) value (0.038 0.05) there is a significant difference between the culture and coaching style of volleyball coaches in Indonesia and coaches in Hong Kong. There are significant differences between culture and coaching styles in the context of digital technology in volleyball practice in Indonesian and Hong Kong high schools.

Although the use of mobile technologies in education is rapidly becoming widespread, there are limited findings about the attitudes, competencies and acceptance behaviors of prospective teachers who use and will use these technologies. However, prospective teachers will be the implementers of new technologies such as mobile learning in education when they start their teaching profession in the future. In this study, it was aimed to examine prospective teachers' attitudes towards mobile learning and their mobile learning acceptance behaviors in terms of some variables. The study was conducted by cross-sectional survey method with the participation of prospective teachers studying at two universities in Kazakhstan. The study was composed of 260 prospective teachers at different grade levels. According to the findings of the study, the acceptance behaviors of prospective teachers towards mobile technologies were found to be moderate, while their attitudes towards these technologies were found to be positive and high. In the study, it was found that prospective teachers' attitudes towards mobile learning and mobile learning acceptance behaviors showed significant differences according to gender and grade level. Finally, it was found that attitudes towards mobile learning predicted mobile learning acceptance behaviors significantly and positively in Kazakhstani prospective teachers

A Study on Scientific Thinking Skills and Professional Experience of Teachers 教师科学思维能力与专业经验研究

Scientific thinking is considered as a cognitive process in which the underlying causes of a basic problem are solved. It is of great importance for teachers to have scientific thinking skills to improve their professional lives, to create effective learning environments, to continuously question the events and processes in the classroom, to carry out research, to identify problems and to produce solutions. The aim of this study is to determine whether there is a significant difference between teachers' scientific thinking skills and variables such as gender, seniority and branch. The research was conducted based on the comparative descriptive survey model. The data obtained concerning the demographic characteristics of the teachers were analyzed with frequency and percentage techniques. In the analyses between the demographic characteristics of the subjects and their scientific thinking skills, arithmetic mean, t-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), which were selected according to the characteristics of the groups, were used. For the research, the Scientific Thinking Skills Scale developed by Göktürker (2005) was adapted into Kazakh and applied to the teachers. According to the findings of the study, the scientific thinking skills of the participant teachers were found to be at a medium level. In addition, significant differences were found in teachers' scientific thinking skills according to gender, branch and professional seniority factors.

Engineering Design and Children: A Systematic Literature Review 工程设计与儿童:系统文献综述

Over the last two decades, a remarkable number of studies have examined the role of engineering education in supporting knowledge and skill building among children. In this paper, we present a synthesis of this literature to evaluate the added value of pre-college engineering design experiences at the elementary level, and ways researchers have gathered evidence of children’s development of this knowledge and skills. We have conducted a systematic literature review. The initial search across four different databases with relevant keywords resulted in over 3000 journal articles and conference papers. In a two-rounds screening, by applying the inclusion criteria first to titles and abstracts, and then to the full text, 78 peer-reviewed publications were included in this systematic literature review. We summarized and synthesized empirical evidence of student learning and engagement in engineering design activities, and approaches they were assessed and elicited. The thematic analysis revealed five categories of knowledge and skills: (1) disciplinary content knowledge; (2) engineering design practices, (3) engineering thinking skills; (4) professional skills; and (5) career awareness. Additionally, the assessment and evaluation approaches that were used for each of these categories were identified and discussed. The findings provide collective evidence of variety in student learning opportunities but also suggest the need to carefully define these knowledge and skills. Since a wide range of evaluation approaches were used to capture similar outcomes, we conclude that it is imperative to develop a shared research agenda by carefully defining the knowledge and skills we expect children to learn.

In a two-rounds screening, by applying the inclusion criteria first to titles and abstracts, and then to the full text, 78 peer-reviewed publications were included in this systematic literature review. We summarized and synthesized empirical evidence of student learning and engagement in engineering design activities, and approaches they were assessed and elicited. The thematic analysis revealed five categories of knowledge and skills: (1) disciplinary content knowledge; (2) engineering design practices, (3) engineering thinking skills; (4) professional skills; and (5) career awareness. Additionally, the assessment and evaluation approaches that were used for each of these categories were identified and discussed. The findings provide collective evidence of variety in student learning opportunities but also suggest the need to carefully define these knowledge and skills. This research aims to determine the impact of Galah Asin games with parental support on the fundamental movement skills of elementary school students. The sampling technique by dividing the population into two groups: a group that used the Galah Asin game (group I) and a group that used a modified Galah Asin game (group II) in the test of the level of support from the student's parents in carrying out movement activities. Based on test results, each group was ranked, and then 27% from the top were taken as a group with high parental support and 27% from the bottom as a group with low parental support. The method employed in this research was an experimental method with a 2x2 ANOVA design. Based on the results, the modification of the Galah Asin game has no better impact than the Galah Asin game on fundamental movement skills in elementary school students. There is an interaction between the Galah Asin game and parental support of fundamental movement skills in elementary school students. Students with high parental support do not have a better impact on fundamental movement skills than students with low parental support in elementary school students. Galah Asin game modifications have a better impact than Galah Asin games on fundamental movement skills for students with high parental support in elementary school.

The study performed a bibliometric analysis on research literature related to ‘engineering design process’ (EDP) that has emerged as a popular approach for STEM education in K-12. The literature comprised 142 journal articles published from 2011 to 2021. There are three objectives of the study. Firstly, to identify the leading research trends of EDP for STEM education that have developed since the release of A Framework for K-12 Science Education in 2011. This framework is pivotal as it paved the way for the establishment of the Next Generation Science Standards in the United States. Secondly, to discern possible research issues on the aforesaid topic by analyzing the research trends. Lastly, to identify publications and authors that have generated prominent citation impact. Since EDP is an emergent approach for STEM education, fulfilling these three objectives can be conducive in facilitating future researchers to build upon the past foundation of research. In this study, the bibliometric data was identified and exported from Web of Science Core Collection: a database with rich scientific literature. The results identified major research trends and issues on EDP pertaining to professional development, design thinking and computational thinking, STEM competencies, scientific inquiry, and gender gaps in STEM education.

Teachers’ Digital Technology Competencies for Use in Distance Education in Schools 教师数字技术能力在学校远程教育中的应用

Educators used distance education to respond to the Corona pandemic. The research question focuses on teachers' perceptions toward the use of ICT competencies in distance education, taking training courses into account. The study included 206 primary school teachers from Jordan's northern schools. A questionnaire designed specifically for this study was used, and its validity and reliability coefficient of 0.82 was confirmed. The findings revealed statistically significant variations in the sign of the training courses variable in favor of the teachers who got training. It is frequently regarded as insufficient by teachers' perspectives on the application of ICT competencies. As a result, respondents understand the necessity for and importance of using ICT for distance preparation and teaching and consider it a vital component of their professional development. The findings recommended incorporating competencies linked to teaching online (electronic course management, computer applications, networking, and educational materials creation), into training programs.

Academic Stress in Online Higher Education 网络高等教育中的学业压力

With the unprecedented impacts of the COVID-19 outbreak, higher education institutions have faced a number of challenges, one of which is the transition to online education. University students have experienced varying levels of stress as the largest group affected by this transition. The perceived level of academic stress experienced by university students in this new system has become significant for the improvement in online learning at the tertiary level. Therefore, this study aimed to measure the level of academic stress among university students including the components of pressures to perform, perceptions of workload, academic self-perceptions, and time restraints during online learning. In order to measure the level of academic stress among university students, a quantitative research design was adopted through gathering statistical data from 147 undergraduate students studying online in different departments in Turkey utilizing “The Perception of Academic Stress Scale” including the components of pressures to perform, perceptions of workload, academic self-perceptions, and time restraints during online learning. The results of this quantitatively designed study revealed that the perceived level of academic stress among university students was found as neutral in general; regarding the components of "Pressures to Perform" as high, of “Perceptions of Workload”, "Academic Self-Perceptions" and "Time Restraints" as neutral.  Some statistically significant differences were also detected in the perceived level of academic stress in relation to the variables of gender, age (Gen X vs Gen Y), year of study, satisfaction with the learning and home environments.
