Relationship between price competitiveness, tourist arrivals, and tourism receipts in European countries 欧洲国家价格竞争力、游客数量和旅游收入的关系

The price of goods and services represents an important factor of attracting tourists and improving destination competitiveness. However, a question arises, whether lower prices in tourism contribute to a greater number of tourist arrivals and higher tourism receipts. The purpose of this paper is to analyse a relationship between price competitiveness and tourist arrivals and tourism receipts in European countries. By means of a cluster analysis, the paper examines the homogeneity of European countries in terms of tourism price competitiveness based on the Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Report for 2017. The results of the research showed that European countries are not homogeneous as far as tourism price competitiveness is concerned. Moreover, countries with a lower price competitiveness level attract a greater number of tourists and yield greater tourism receipts in comparison to the countries with a greater price competitiveness level.

Use of big data analytics for small and medium sized businesses 为中小型企业使用大数据分析

Small and medium sized business has an important place in the economy of all countries. In modern conditions of Industry 4.0 development, the introduction of big data analytics into the performance of small and medium-sized businesses can become the basis for sustainability growth of their functioning and their competitive advantages' development. However, the use of Big Data technology is not typical for small and medium enterprises. At the same time, the issues of big data analytics use by small and medium-sized businesses in the context of their resource and infrastructure constraints are poorly studied. The purpose of this article is to develop a conceptual model for the implementation of big data analytics in the activities of small and medium-sized businesses, taking into account their digitalization problems. The study was made on the basis of the Russian economy data. The analysis of the issues of big data analytics' use for small and medium-sized businesses was based on the methodology of system analysis with the identification of object, environment and project-process development subsystems. The novelty of research consists in the fact that the development model of the structure of big data use was carried out in accordance with the content of the main tasks that must be solved within data management life cycle. The results of the study showed that the main issues of the introduction of big data analytics in the activities of small and medium-sized businesses are associated with a lack of understanding of its benefits by entrepreneurs. Also significant problems are the lack of financial resources and the lack of qualified employees capable of strategic administration of these processes. Given these problems, the authors conclude that the model for use of big data analytics by small and medium-sized businesses should be based on the use of cloud software and analysis of projects with open source big data. The article suggests the structure of the model for big data use by small and medium-sized businesses. This paper contributes to the development of ideas about the directions of digitalization of small and mediumsized businesses in order to increase the sustainability of this economic sector in the context of Industry 4.0. Further research by the authors is connected with effectiveness evaluation of mechanisms and tools of government support made for digital business transformations.

The systematic approach to creating the proper motivation of young researchers in scientific institutions 为科研机构的青年科研人员创造适当动机的系统方法

The study aimed to find out how to develop an optimal and effective motivation model considering the preferences and requests of young researchers, in view of the fact that scientific specific of building and organising an internal work system, its scientific potential and resources, which provides a valuable fundamental insight. The task of the study was to develop and propose a mechanism that would be specially adapted for scientific institutions and universities. That was based on an in-depth analysis of the existing approaches of scientists regarding the specifics of the work of these organisations. The developed method is relevant to modern literature, where the definition of a motivational approach eliminates the dichotomy between existing studies. The data were collected by interviewing responders from Russian and Iranian universities. The study results show the subjective aspects of the perception of research activities by students and researchers and the shortcomings in constructing motivation systems. As a result of implementing the proposed optimal and effective "Model of proper motivation system", scientific institutions can strengthen their positions and establish sustainable activities to attract talented scientists and innovators to develop scientific progress and compete in the market knowledge-intensive services.

Relationship between social cause, environment conservation and environmental attitude, towards promoting green purchasing behavior 社会事业、环境保护与环境态度的关系,促进绿色购买行为

Irresponsible and imprudent usage of natural resources has presented a significant threat to the environment and its resources, contaminating them, and impeding their development. To mitigate this effect, responsible policies and practices must be adopted and implemented. One of the most successful strategies is to reduce our reliance on conventional items and replace them with green alternatives. However, insufficient information and expertise among consumers hamper their efforts to promote green products. Thus, it is critical to understand the factors influencing consumers' behavior and intentions toward green products to increase their acceptance. The purpose of the study is to learn more about how caring about the environment, having a desire to make a positive impact, and having a positive attitude towards the environment can help encourage people to buy ecofriendly products. 549 responses were collected using Google form from India, China, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. Structural Equation Modelling was used to test the forming assumptions. It was found that the study supports the hypotheses and the constructs of social issues, environmental conservation, and mindset, are significantly associated with the green buying behavior of the consumers. Additionally, it was found that environmental attitude should be further integrated to reinforce these relationships.

Lanchester's differential equations as operational command decision making tools 兰彻斯特微分方程作为作战指挥决策工具

This paper investigates the application of Lanchester's equations as a scientific method and tool for examining the functioning of the armed forces as complex organizational systems in combat. It is important to assess the reliability of the knowledge obtained by this method, about the facts of the operational environment and the effectiveness of the use of forces, in order to support the process of planning and making optimal decisions, in conditions of uncertainty and risk, which are inherent in warfare. According to this hypothesis, a mathematical model was developed based on the wellknown Lanchester's equations, which defined the quadratic and linear law of combat between two opponents with a heterogeneous force structure (air force and army). The created model enables a correct simplified analysis in the decision-making process. Real war and combat operations are very complex and require the use of complex simulators, whose methodological background is often unknown to decision makers, which is why reliable approximate simulation and modeling methods are necessary and desirable.

The impact of corporate identity on reputation and employer's brand 企业形象对声誉和雇主品牌的影响

The study focuses on the area of corporate identity and its correlation to reputation and employer's brand. As competition in the labor market grows, more companies, in particular, are investing their efforts and resources in employer brand development that would be attractive to both current and potential employees. If the organization wants to be perceived as a desirable place for work and the employer as ideal, consistent corporate communication and harmonization of internal, employee-to-employee and external-employee-to-employee communications are required. The purpose of the paper is investigate the impact of corporate identity on good reputation and an attractive employer branding and thus gain a competitive advantage on the labor market. The intention is to find out the individual components of corporate identity that contribute to the solid reputation that could become a source of competitive advantage and a suitable foundation for achieving an attractive employer brand.

Towards a circular economy: Evaluation of waste management performance in European Union countries 迈向循环经济:欧盟国家废物管理绩效评价

Achieving the goals of the circular economy implies taking actions aimed at waste reduction which can be implemented through suitable waste management principles. The idea of the paper is to evaluate and compare the performance of waste management at the level of the European Union (EU). The paper aims to construct a composite index based on selected indicators from the Eurostat database using multi-criteria analysis methods. The CRITIC method was used as a method for determining weight coefficients, while Grey Relational Analysis (GRA) was used as a method for calculating the composite index of waste management performance. The results indicate that the countries of Western and Central Europe record the best results in creating adequate waste management practices (Belgium, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Luxembourg and Austria). It is also noticeable that the countries that joined the EU much later have the lowest values of the index that measures waste management performance, such as Bulgaria, Romania, Cyprus, Slovakia, Croatia, Malta and Poland, respectively. In the coming period, policymakers must pay more attention to respect for the principles of waste management in the newer member states of the EU, in order to reach convergence in the future.

Structural PCA-MLR model of the innovation environment in BRICS countries 金砖国家创新环境的结构PCA-MLR模型

The process of globalization forces market changes in the form of intense competition. Economies can survive by getting competitive advantage in the global market through developing innovation. The main target of this empirical research is to discover the most important innovation components that constitute structure of the global innovation index (GII) and judge their influence in emerging BRICS economies. Innovation process is discussed on the grounds of GII ranking scores accumulated from 2011 to 2021. The research outcome of the Principal Component Analysis adopted nine components that represent seven dimensions. Extracted components are further used in the regression analysis to establish a multiple linear regression (MLR) equation for predicting the GII score used in the overall ranking. Derived regression solution introduced valuable MLR results with high coefficient of determination where 98.2% of the GII values are explained by the extracted components. The dominant effects on GII are attained in innovation components that include general infrastructure and knowledge workers. Moreover, comparison analysis of the actual and computed GII scores illustrated 99.1% overlap between the two values. Evaluated results of the PCA-MLR analysis serve to investigate the success in developing innovation performances in emerging economies by comparing innovation index accomplished by BRICS.

Migration management: The cases of Germany and Hungary 移民管理:德国和匈牙利的案例

The authors of the paper deal with immigration policies, migration management, migration management policy via case study based on the example of two purposefully chosen countries which have diametrically opposite immigration policies. The aim is to see up to which extent and whether these countries are interested into integrating immigrants into their social, legal, political and cultural space, through their institutional capacities, by the means of comparative analysis of German and Hungarian immigration policies, their social, demographic and economic structure, and their cultural and security policies. By defining concepts of migration, immigration, integration, immigration policy, migration management, immigration border management, the authors precisely pinpoint the differences, and the causes of those differences, in the policies towards migrants in these two countries.

Climate change in the EU: Analysis by clustering and regression 欧盟气候变化:聚类与回归分析

Climate change is often seen as the most global and complex problem the world has been facing during its current development. The emissions of harmful gases, rising temperatures, variable amounts of precipitation, the occurrence of extreme weather conditions affect all countries regardless of their geographical position and level of development. The subject and goal of this paper is to examine the impact of economic, technological and demographic determinants on CO2 emissions in 18 EU countries in the period from 2011 to 2020. In the research are used k-means clustering and panel regression analysis. By the application of k-means clustering, 18 EU countries were grouped into 2 clusters according to the level of emissions of selected greenhouse gases (CO2 , CH4 , HFC, PFC, SF6 ) per capita. In the "green cluster", there are the following countries: Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, Poland, Belgium, Ireland, and Netherlands. The "red cluster" includes the other analyzed EU countries. The results of the panel regression model in the "green cluster" showed that CO2 emissions are statistically significantly and positively influenced by Energy efficiency and Production of electricity by solid fossil fuels. On the other hand, the results of the analysis in the "red cluster" suggested that Research and developments costs turn out to be the most important predictor of CO2 emissions.
