Fast Block Edge Direction Analysis in DCT domain DCT域快速块边缘方向分析

Detecting edge existence and analyzing the edge direction in a block level is useful in the applications, such as perceptually improved image processing, blocking artifacts reduction, content-based retrieval, senses changing detection, etc. This paper proposes a novel Fast Block Edge Direction Analysis method. The method is derived from a simple pixel domain in a deductive way. Then we demonstrate how to calculate the key parameters of the method with DCT coefficients. With this method, one block is classified into one of the 17 category edges: No edge plus 16 different edge patterns. The calculation of the key parameters can be calculated with extremely low complexity both in pixel domain and in DCT domain.

An approach for ECG classification based on wavelet feature extraction and decision tree 基于小波特征提取和决策树的心电分类方法

Automatic analysis of cardiac arrhythmias is very important for diagnosis of cardiac abnormities. This paper presents a novel approach that classifies ECG signals with the combination of Wavelet transform and Decision tree classification. This approach has two aspects. In the first aspect, we utilize the wavelet transform to extract the ECG signals wavelet coefficients as the first features and utilize the combination of principal component analysis (PCA) and independent component analysis (ICA) to remove the first features relativity and search this features independence as the new features, then we add the RR interval as the final features. In the second aspect, we utilize the ID3 algorithm which is one of analysis decision tree methods as the classifier to recognize the different heartbeat arrhythmias. We utilize the MIT-BIH Arrhythmia Database to create the classification and test the classification. The results confirm its high reliability and high accuracy is very well.

QoS-guaranteed cross-layer resource allocation algorithm for multiclass services in downlink LTE system 下行LTE系统中多类业务的qos保证跨层资源分配算法

In this paper, a QoS-guaranteed cross-layer resource allocation algorithm for multiclass services in downlink LTE system is proposed, which takes EXP rule, channel quality variance, real-time services and non-real-time services and minimum transmission rate into account. The key features of the proposed algorithm are that all the users and resource blocks will be allocated step by step respectively. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm effectively guarantees the user QoS requirement for multiclass services. At the same time, it mainly maintains the throughput and fairness performances in a high level.
本文提出了一种考虑EXP规则、信道质量方差、实时业务和非实时业务以及最小传输速率的下行LTE系统多类业务的qos保证跨层资源分配算法。该算法的主要特点是将所有的用户和资源块分别分步分配。数值结果表明,该算法有效地保证了用户对多类业务的QoS要求。同时,主要保持较高的吞吐量和公平性性能。

Experimental spatial correlation characteristics of propagation channels in indoor environments 室内环境下传播信道空间相关特性实验研究

Spatial auto- and cross-correlation characteristics of propagation channels are investigated for four indoor scenarios using measurement data. In addition to the well-known spatial auto-correlation effect, significant cross-correlation between channels is also observed. We found that non-zero spatial cross-correlation among channels may occur in three scenarios with possibly different mechanisms. These results should be considered when establishing realistic models for the spatial cross-correlation behavior of channels.

SLNR precoding based on QBC with limited feedback in downlink CoMP system 下行CoMP系统中基于有限反馈QBC的单频比预编码

3GPP LTE-Advanced has adopted the coordinated multi-point transmission and reception (CoMP) technique as a new promising scheme. The CoMP technique can reduce the inter-cell interference (ICI) effectively, which has a great potential for enhancing cell-edge user data rate/coverage and cell throughput significantly. For downlink CoMP, most research work mainly focuses on precoding schemes with explicit feedback in joint processing/transmission (CoMP-JP) mode. However the explicit feedback type needs a high overhead under FDD mode. In this paper, we propose a signal-to-leakage-and-noise ratio (SLNR) precoding scheme based on quantization-based combining (QBC) with limited feedback in downlink CoMP system. The QBC can convert the MIMO channel into a vector channel, and then the UE feeds back the index of its quantized channel according to the codebook, which further reduces the feedback resources. Simulation results suggest that the SLNR precoding scheme based on QBC with limited feedback provides appreciable performance improvement as compared with the conventional SLNR precoding scheme with limited feedback.

Performance analysis of a selection cooperation scheme in multi-source multi-relay networks 多源多中继网络中一种选择协作方案的性能分析

Cooperative diversity is a promising technique to form virtual antenna array without using collated multiple antennas. In this paper, we consider a joint selection scheme in multi-source multi-relay networks, in which the best source node and the best relay node are selected to access channel. The destination node uses this scheme to reduce the excessive burden of maximal ratio combining (MRC) with all source nodes and relay nodes. We derive the asymptotic expressions for the system with amplify-and-forward (AF) protocol and exact expressions for the system with decode-and-forward (DF) protocol. Numerical and simulation results show that the performance of the proposed scheme is proportional to the number of independent relay nodes or source nodes. Furthermore, one can see that the relay plays a more important role than the source on the performance of outage probability and symbol error probability (SER) in multi-source multi-relay networks.

Report the sensing results using OFDMA in cooperative spectrum sensing 报告OFDMA在协同频谱感知中的传感结果

Cooperative spectrum sensing can improve the detection reliability in cognitive radio network. How to report the local sensing results to the fusion center has not aroused much interest. Since OFDM has been widely recognized as a promising candidate for cognitive radio in opportunistic spectrum access scenarios, a OFDMA-based sensing reporting scheme is designed. Correspondingly, several fusion rules at fusion center side are proposed according to the knowledge of the reporting channel and local sensing performance indices. It is shown by simulations that the fusion with the perfect reporting channel state information is optimum. If the fusion center has no knowledge of the reporting channel, soft fusion outperforms hard decision combination. Fusion with the statistic knowledge of the reporting channel is valid for practical use.

Collaborative patrolling for target detection using mobile sensor networks 基于移动传感器网络的目标探测协同巡逻

The advances of technology have made sensor networks an attractive approach for detecting events present in a geographic region. Most of recent studies have focused on stationary sensor networks where sensor nodes are homogeneous with fixed locations. However, if the monitored region is significantly larger than one sensor's sensing area, it will need a large number of sensors to cover the whole region. In contrast, this paper proposes a novel sensing architecture for target detection using both mobile and stationary sensors in a sparse network. In the network, mobile and stationary sensors collaborate to detect the presence/absence of a target. Mobile sensors are responsible for both sampling the environment and collecting sensing data from stationary sensors. The collected data are fused to arrive at a consensus decision to determine whether the target is present. The paper proposes an effective approach for selecting routes with length as short as possible for mobile sensors while the constraints on the detection probability and false alarm rate are satisfied. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is shown by extensive simulations.

A packet level FEC code for deep space communications 深空通信的包级FEC代码

In space communications, some information is more important than others so that it necessitates a unequal error protection (UEP) to provide priority encoding transmission in limited channel capacity. Expanding Window Fountain (EWF) codes is a promising packet level FEC scheme for UEP. However, due to inherit from Fountain codes, its performance becomes very poor when source block size is small. In this work, we propose a novel framework to improve EWF based on the ideal that virtually increase the size of the source block by duplicating the information packets. Extending original packets virtually increase the block size, leading to distinct performance improvement in view of packet erasure rate (PER) with slight increase in complexity.

An effective puncturing scheme for rate-compatible LDPC codes 一种率兼容LDPC码的有效穿刺方案

We consider the problem of finding good puncturing patterns for rate-compatible LDPC codes over additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channels. When studying the recovered process of punctured nodes, Ha et al maximized the number of lower Ä-SR nodes and obtained a so-called grouping and sorting puncturing scheme, where only single survived check node was guaranteed. In this paper, we investigate the effect of multiple survived check nodes and afford theoretical analysis to them. Based on the analysis, we propose an effective puncturing scheme called MSCN, which maximizes the number of survived check nodes. The MSCN scheme is quite different from the grouping and sorting scheme in the rules of finding nodes and update. By simulations, the MSCN scheme is shown to be superior to the grouping and sorting scheme over AWGN channels at low rates for rate-compatible LDPC codes.
