The Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) is, after the ruling United Malays National Organization (UMNO), the most influential political party among the country's Malay population. The party emerged in 1948 as an organization for protecting the interests of students and graduates of Malay Muslim schools. It did not play an independent role in politics, and until 1951 was in solidarity with the UMNO on many issues. PAS continues to be one of the most influential opposition parties in Malaysia. In 2022, the number of party members exceeded one million people.

The article explores the history of the development and cultural scaling of electronic screenness as the main information and communication medium which is shaping new media and language forms today. The article singles out four major formats of electronic screenness, providing a comparative analysis of their characteristic features in a dialogue connection with the wide socio-cultural space of their explication. The research identifies causes of the mass popularization of various screen formats revealing the dynamics of their evolution from the publicity of “big screens” to their integration into home-based social spaces and an individual’s personal life. The semiotics of screenness, features of its media language and the main rhetorical tools are reconstructed.

The current article aims to review the literature of Russian language consciousness in China, in order to identify the present trend and future development in this filed. The current study quantitatively analyzed related publications in the past 20 years using the CNKI database. Results showed that the total number of publications in this field exhibited a general upward trend in the past 20 years. This finding suggests a late start and an unclear future of this filed in China.

The article deals with the events of one of the most dramatic periods in the development of domestic federalism, associated with a radical restructuring of all the foundations of Russian statehood in the early 1990s. The main causes and consequences of decentralization processes are shown, which almost led to the disappearance of Russia as a single state. The content of individual alternative projects of the territorial-state structure of Russia is disclosed. Against the background of the identified shortcomings of the Soviet model of federal relations, the legal grounds laid down by the Federal Treaty and the Constitution of the Russian Federation of1993, which hinder the stable and progressive development of federalism in modern Russia, are shown.

The paper discusses feasts, food stuffs and food offerings offered to deities during the ceremony of free-hold establishment-sima-in the Mataram Kingdom in Ancient Java according to inscriptions in the Old Javanese language of the 9th 10th centuries. Food stuffs and goods listed in the text may reveal a common cultural tradition of offerings and/or be formulae fixing a certain amount of these offerings. Not only Ancient Javanese words were used to refer to animals, but also Sanskrit borrowings. The term kumol may mean “a lamb dish”. H.B. Sarkar’s and A.V. Zavadskaya's translations of Old Javanese epigraphy wrongly translate the terms v3as pada and bras pada as ‘unpeeled rice’ but the correct meaning is “husked rice”.

The Yin and Shang period was an important stage in the development of Chinese civilization, the heyday of the Bronze Age.
