The article is devoted to Diarium Vadstenense - the chronicle of Vadstena Abbey, the main monastery of the Birgittine monastic order. Diarium Vadstenense is one of the most informative and popular narrative sources on the history of medieval Sweden. The narrative covers an extensive period - from the middle of the 14th to the middle of the 16th century. The purpose of this article is to show that the Vadstena Diarium retains its value as a historical source, despite its high degree of study. It contains data on the social life of medieval Sweden, socio-political struggle, international relations, economy and life, mentality, culture, life expectancy, health and diseases.

New Year paintings, or nianhua, created in Liangping with the use of the technique of woodblock printing, represent folk art that weaves together distinct local features, aesthetic perception and technical mastery of the artists. One of the key nianhua themes is the imagery of “Men Shen”, or door gods, that banish the evil and guard doors and gates. The article discusses the imagery of door gods in Liangping nianhua printed from woodblocks.

The article deals with the methodological problems of studying enclave transboundary groups of Bashkirs, Tatars and Chuvashs. Despite the established tradition to call all ethnic groups living outside their country of origin a diaspora, we believe that this term is not applicable to certain ethnic groups of the peoples in question. More precisely, in our opinion, the theory of enclaves reflects the current situation of these groups. The experience of studying these ethnic enclave groups can be applied in studying the formation of Russian identity.

The article examines the features of the social development of the Rostov Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Monastery at the second half of the 19th early 20th centuries. The source base was the statements about the monastery from the collection of the state archive of the Yaroslavl region. The article shows the dynamics of the change in the population of the monastery; the factors that influenced this change, the social origin of the inhabitants, age, level of education.

Based on statistical data, the analysis of the dynamics of the development of the medical network of the Transport Medical and Sanitary Administration of the People's Commissariat of Railways during the Great Patriotic War was carried out. Summary data on the scale of patient care in outpatient and inpatient medical institutions of the People's Commissariat of Railways are presented. The relatively high-quality level of departmental healthcare of railways is indicated. Sanitary and anti-epidemic activities on the railway are highlighted. The conclusion is made about the significant contribution of railway healthcare to the preservation of life and health of the population.

The article develops an insufficiently studied socio-religious aspect of the history of industry and transport in Russia. The authors investigate the participation of the Zlatoust Roman Catholic Church's parishioners in the work of mining, metallurgical and railway industries in the South Ural region and assess the involvement of Catholics in the processes of industrial development this region in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The article recreates the Roman Catholic segment of the local labor market and traces the professional biographies of many Catholic specialists on the basis of reference publications (directories) and church documents (parish registers).

The wave of development since approximately 2012 was the manifestation of contemporary identity crisis in Europe. The low efficiency of EU crisis management had led the sense of insecurity which has already pervaded among communities combined with the sense of distrust toward political system impact the existing systematic identity.
