The article deals with the historical process of China's acquaintance with the literature of Russian writers and poets. The chronology of the stages of the spread of Russian literature in China is presented. Current trends in the perception of works of Russian literature by the inhabitants of China are identified.

Sino-African relations have been characterized by close economic cooperation, with both parties seeking mutual benefits from their partnership. China has become a major trading partner and investor in Africa, while African countries have been able to access much-needed investment and development assistance from China. With China as the largest and most populous developing nation worldwide, and Africa with the highest concentration of developing countries, so there is mutual comprehensive development cooperation.

In this article the scientists who contributed to Soviet criminal law science are called on the problem of punishment in criminal law. It also provides a brief bibliographic data of scientists, the main works and draws a similar conclusion that the Soviet school of criminal law, although it was not formalized in Soviet times in the way it is now, but, nevertheless, de facto - it was a real scientific school of criminal law rights and works written by representatives of this school are still in demand.

The interaction of cultures has been developingfor many years, and the outstanding sinologist Leonid Evseevich Cherkassky made his contribution to the familiarization and acceptance of Chinese culture by Russians. He presented to the Russian reader the works of a wide range of Chinese writers, from the Middle Ages to the 20th century. Many pages of his scientific and literary work are unknown, and new information should be open to the public. The author of the article, from the standpoint of historical objectivity, turns to the study of the translation of the last book of L. Cherkassky published in China, which in itself is a confirmation of his merits. The author reaffirms the conclusion about the indisputable significance of Cherkassky's work for strengthening Russian-Chinese literary ties and his notable contribution to the rethinking of Chinese culture by Russians.

The 1980s years had witnessed a crucial debt crisis in most of the developing economics, especially in Africa. Accordingly, this article seeks to identify the historical economic determinants of the public debt in Africa especially the interaction effect between the exchange rate and budget deficit. The findings illustrated that the depreciation movements do not always help to address the public debt especially in light of the medium and high levels of the budget deficit.
