Despite the relevance of vaccination as one of the greatest successes of public health, many individuals nurture doubts over vaccines and choose to delay or refuse vaccination, despite its availability. This study investigates whether – independently of support for government restrictions, conspiracy beliefs, and informational contamination – benevolence and universalism values separately relate to COVID-19 vaccination uptake via attitudes toward vaccines. The mediational analyses, carried out via MPLUS on 214 Italian participants who had completed an online questionnaire, show that universalism was related to the decision to get vaccinated through the mediation of attitudes toward vaccines, whereas benevolence is related to it only directly. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of the individual factors playing a role in COVID-19 vaccination uptake.

In contemporary times, the practice of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by a company in the context of actualizing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is a necessity. This study aimed to comprehensively explore the efforts made by PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Kampar in actualizing SDGs in the Bukit Lembah Subur Village. The study employed a qualitative methodology with a case study approach. The data utilized in this study consisted of secondary data derived from program implementation reports, monitoring and evaluation reports, as well as relevant articles and journals. The research findings indicate that PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Kampar Field has successfully actualized three SDGs simultaneously through three sub-programs under LAPANG PELITA in the Bukit Lembah Subur Village. First, the Lapak PKK sub-program embodies the actualization of SDG-5 (gender equality) as it has improved the status of women by increasing their income and managerial skills within the PKK member group. Second, the Angkringan sub-program, represented by Adik Kakak MSME, represents the realization of SDG-8 (decent work and economic growth) by providing decent work opportunities for village youth, reducing unemployment rates, and fostering sustainable economic growth. Third, the Pustaka Literasi Pertamina sub-program represents the actualization of SDG-4 (quality education) by providing quality and inclusive education through the Kelompok Taman Baca Langit Ke-7, Rumah Cerdas, and the Digital Library.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) represents a commitment by a business corporation to contribute to sustainable economic development, which, in its implementation, consistently involves communities, local populations, government authorities, and even other corporations. Empowering coastal communities is one of the efforts aimed at enabling these communities to realize their inherent potential and strengthen their capacities. PT Pertamina EP Pangkalan Susu Field has introduced the Perlis Cinta Lingkungan program which intends to manage an organic waste, specifically plastic and organic waste, to create a clean and prosperous Perlis Village. This initiative has the potential to increase community income, minimize waste pollution, and generate value-added products from plastic waste. Consequently, the strategies implemented by PT Pertamina EP Pangkalan Susu Field, which include training programs, infrastructure support, and program monitoring and evaluation, are expected to function optimally and exemplify the company’s commitment to these initiatives.

Drawing on evolutionary perspectives of leadership and hierarchy, we argue that hierarchical strategies and physical formidability of leaders affect followers’ trust. Specifically, prestige should increase trust, dominance should reduce trust and physical formidability should strengthen these effects. We tested these hypotheses in three experimental studies (total n = 1884), using survey and behavioral measures of trust. We found that a dominance-based leadership style consistently reduced trust in leaders whereas using a prestige-based leadership style consistently increased it. However, physical formidability didn’t moderate these effects, nor did it affect trust directly. Although more research seems needed to understand more fine-grained effects of physical formidability on different factors of trustworthiness, our results suggest that leadership styles are important predictors of how much leaders are trusted.

We compared Norwegians' attitudes to immigration, perspective taking, and intergroup behaviors directed at asylum seekers in 2016 (Syrians and Afghans) and 2022 (Ukrainians). We find evidence for a stronger exclusionary response to the asylum seekers in 2016 than in 2022. Attitudes to immigration were more negative in 2016 than in 2022, and skepticism and avoiding asylum seekers was more common. However, the dominant behavior in both years was prosocial (greeting and donating) and Norwegians' willingness to take asylum seekers perspective was similar in 2016 and 2022. These results may reflect an absence of a symbolic threat in 2022 and may be connected to differences in the political rhetoric about asylum seekers in 2015/2016 and 2022.

An effort was made to fulfill one of the citizen's fundamental rights, which was known as the right to acquire health services, and the development of health care was part of that endeavor. In addition, it was an investment made to help promote the growth of the economy and the alleviation of poverty. To improve the general welfare of the community, the Surabaya Neuroscience Institute worked towards implementing various health development initiatives, particularly those linked with neurological conditions. The effectiveness of the Surabaya Neuroscience Institute's staff members was a critical factor in determining its ability to achieve its goals, vision, and mission. In order to reach their full potential, the physicians who worked at the Surabaya Neuroscience Institute needed to maintain a high level of motivation. An effective remuneration scheme will support the motivation of the worker. On the other hand, when it came to the implementation of this compensation scheme, the culture that prevailed in the medical area was quite distinct. In addition to the justice components, the ethical and seniority aspects continued to be very relevant for both the performance of physicians and the remuneration model. The version of physicians at the Surabaya Neuroscience Institute needed to be improved. Thus, this study aimed to develop a motivating compensation system that might do so. In this study, a descriptive qualitative method alongside an in-depth interview was used, and the respondent was chosen using a method known as non-random purposive sampling. A total of six individuals were utilized to represent the population of 19 members at the Surabaya Neuroscience Institute. In light of the findings, an examination of the respondents' points of view revealed that almost all of them believed there was still an issue with the level of motivation exhibited by the physicians working at the SNeI. Concerning the compensation system, the results showed that the design of the financial compensation is deemed suitable. Still, the issue of nonfinancial compensation needs to be studied and improved because it can significantly impact the performance of physicians.
