This paper illustrates the successful implementation of the method of variation of parameters in combination with the method of characteristics and other techniques to obtain exact solutions for a wide range of partial differential equations. The proposed approach reduces partial differential equations (PDEs) to first-order differential equations, referred to as classical equations, including Bernoulli, Ricatti, and Abel equations. In addition, the techniques proposed have the ability to produce precise solutions for nonlinear second order PDEs. For each PDE class, the method's effectiveness is demonstrated through illustrative examples.

This study examines the influence of a newly implemented protocol for critical laboratory values on the quality and accuracy of laboratory reports in a clinical setting. The necessity of strict adherence to protocols in clinical laboratories is underscored by the potential for a deviation of up to 45% in results, leading to diagnostic errors. The research focused on emergency service critical values, adhering to a designated protocol list. Conducted in two phases, the study initially involved training sessions and a knowledge questionnaire regarding the protocol, followed by a repeated questionnaire and analysis of laboratory test reports. Among 181,507 emergency examinations, critical values constituted 2.75% (4,998 cases). While protocol knowledge did not show significant improvement, reporting accuracy for creatinine, glucose, sodium, leukocytes, platelets, and activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT) markedly increased. Timely and effective notification rates improved significantly, as did staff reporting consistency across shifts. The study concludes that implementing a critical value protocol significantly enhances the quality of clinical laboratory reporting, although timely critical value quality remains below the requisite standard.

Computer self-efficacy is a pivotal factor in the modern workplace, intertwined with the capacity of the workforce to function effectively and achieve organizational objectives. This study aims to introduce and apply an established computer self-efficacy scale in a novel cultural milieu, seeking to discern the levels of computer self-efficacy among employees while exploring its associations with various control variables, with a specific emphasis on gender. Data collection was accomplished through the distribution of a 12-item scale administered online, which garnered responses from 320 participants. Contrary to prior investigations, the present study revealed no significant disparities in computer self-efficacy between male and female employees. Furthermore, no substantial variations were detected among other control variables, including age, job position, salary, and educational background. This research distinguishes itself through the translation and adaptation of the questionnaire to the Albanian language within a workplace context, setting it apart from previous studies that predominantly focused on student or trainee samples. However, it is worth noting that this research is constrained by its exclusive consideration of computer self-efficacy as a continuous variable, without addressing antecedent and consequent variables.

Despite extensive research on the subject, the persistent prevalence of unwanted pregnancies and school dropouts among teenage girls remains a significant concern. This study aims to elucidate the complex dynamics underlying substance use, adolescent psycho-cognitive predispositions, and academic achievement among pregnant teenagers in selected metropolitan areas of Nigeria. Using a cross-sectional study design, we enrolled 400 consenting pregnant teenagers from three chosen states in Nigeria (Niger state, Lagos, and Port Harcourt) between January and April 2021, employing the snowball sampling technique. Data were collected through a validated self-administered questionnaire and subjected to analysis using Structural Equation Modeling with Smart-Pls to illustrate path analysis representing the dynamics of the phenomenon. The findings revealed that substance use, including alcohol (β=-0.224, p<0.001) and psychoactive drugs (β=0.211, p<0.001), significantly influenced sexual-cognitive orientation, encompassing knowledge/perception (β=-0.229, p<0.001) and attitude (β=-0.171, p<0.001). Furthermore, sexual-cognitive orientation (β=0.443, p<0.001) and attitude (β=-0.168, p<0.001) significantly predicted academic performance. Substance use with abuse potential was found to impair the cognitive ability to make decisions regarding safe sex, and sexual activity negatively affected the academic performance of pregnant students. This study highlights the need for a multi-level approach, addressing individual and environmental factors, to facilitate positive lifestyle modifications related to sexual cognitive orientation and harm reduction, ultimately improving the academic performance of pregnant teenagers.

The COVID-19 pandemic, accompanied by stringent social restrictions, wrought profound changes across various facets of human existence. Unprecedented measures, such as compulsory quarantines, curfews, and restrictions on mobility and social interactions, were implemented to mitigate infection rates. This paper delves into the repercussions of isolation, with a specific focus on its impact on the elderly population—an exceptionally vulnerable demographic. The primary objective of this study is to discern the ramifications of pandemic-induced isolation on the mental and physical well-being of senior citizens. This contribution underscores the comparative analysis of three prior studies that have illuminated the nexus between pandemic-induced isolation and heightened levels of anxiety, depression, and loneliness. A notable strength of this research lies in its comprehensive dataset, derived from comparisons with extant scientific literature and the utilization of diverse scientific methodologies. The preceding investigations centered on the Austrian populace, juxtaposing the effects of loneliness among senior citizens before and during the pandemic. However, these studies were constrained by their inability to explore the enduring consequences of isolation and loneliness post-repeal of anti-pandemic measures, and their incapacity to ascertain its correlation with senior citizens' mortality, particularly those residing in solitary circumstances. This article represents a partial outcome of the VEGA 1/0595/21 project, which investigates public administration interventions during the COVID-19 era and their influence on the quality of life of selected community residents.

This research attempts to investigate the work-life balance and self-reported health of Northern Iloilo State University (NISU) employees in Iloilo, Philippines, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Employing a descriptive survey with a correlational design, an adapted survey questionnaire was administered across the seven campuses of NISU. Statistical analyses encompassed mean and standard deviation calculations, t-tests, One-Way ANOVA, and Pearson’s r correlations. The study revealed that work-life balance, particularly in categories such as social wellness and emotional wellness, was consistently rated as "Very Good" across different variables (Age, Sex, and Administrative Function). Self-reported health, with categories encompassing excessive work demand, professional growth, role clarity, age, sex, and administrative functions, was generally perceived as "Good." Intriguingly, the findings demonstrated insignificance in social wellness and emotional wellness categories when considering various factors. However, there was significance noted in terms of emotional wellness concerning sex, while administrative function appeared not to be a significant factor for either social wellness or emotional wellness. The study underscores the significance of key officials' support during the pandemic and advocates for the establishment of mechanisms to assist faculty and staff in adapting to the evolving challenges of these times. Work-life balance and self-reported health emerged as significant factors, with a notable correlation between self-reported health and work-life balance (r = 0.581, Sig = 0.000).

Nonprofit organizations (NPOs), currently numbering 10 million globally, play a pivotal role in addressing societal needs and promoting inclusivity in development and decision-making. This study delves into the realm of capacity building within NPOs through an examination of an executive master's program in nonprofit management at the University of Ha'il, Saudi Arabia. It scrutinizes program components, demographics, and student motivations, contrasting this distinctive Saudi and Arab context with established global experiences. This research underscores the strengths of the nonprofit sector, particularly its contributions to community service and job satisfaction. It suggests the potential expansion of such educational initiatives and advocates for increased female participation. Employing a descriptive research design and qualitative methods, the study offers a comprehensive analysis of program content, faculty, and student experiences. Through targeted interviews and specialized literature reviews, the research critically evaluates the program's design, implementation, and impact, informing future enhancements. Comparative analysis with prior research underscores the significance of the Executive Master's Program in Nonprofit Management in preparing professionals for Saudi Arabia's nonprofit sector. Non-financial motivations emerge as crucial in talent acquisition and retention, with key success factors revealed through program analysis, informing nonprofit management education regionally. The study's findings have profound implications for NPOs, policymakers, and educational institutions in Saudi Arabia. Emphasis is placed on strategies focusing on non-financial incentives and professional development. Moreover, the study serves as a blueprint for designing similar programs in neighboring countries, cultivating a dynamic nonprofit sector and a skilled workforce for positive social transformation. Recommendations include expanding nonprofit management education, promoting women's participation, addressing local challenges, integrating global best practices, and catering to diverse professional needs through scholarships, mentorship, and networking opportunities, fostering inclusivity within the sector.
