The success of software development projects is often hindered by time pressure (TP), leading to decreased productivity, compromised quality, and increased risk of failure. To address this issue, it is crucial to understand the key factors contributing to TP in software development projects. In line with the study's objectives, the review methodology followed the Kitchenham and Charters criteria, and a search strategy encompassed four primary digital databases, namely IEEE, ACM Digital Library, Science Direct, and Springers, resulting in 4,500 relevant sources. After applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, a total of 128 papers were selected for analysis. This paper offers a comprehensive overview of the factors contributing to TP in software development. This study synthesizes the findings from multiple studies to guide practitioners in improving their project management approaches and highlights the significance of enhancing various aspects of the development process. The findings highlight the importance of improving project management, estimation techniques, knowledge, and skills to effectively manage TP. Additionally, managing requirements volatility, setting clear goals and objectives, and reducing distractions and interruptions emerge as crucial strategies for mitigating TP and enhancing project success. Furthermore, selecting software developers based on their personality traits is recommended to foster a work environment conducive to reduced TP and improved software development outcomes. By understanding and addressing these factors, software development teams can alleviate TP and increase the likelihood of successful software products. Implementing these recommendations can contribute to reduced TP, improved project outcomes, and enhanced overall success in software development.

The multicultural counseling course attended by counselor trainees is expected to enrich their multicultural experience through the academic environment, as they come from different backgrounds and personal multicultural experiences. While most multicultural counseling courses focus on the three components of multicultural counseling competence, counselor trainees should be provided with more multicultural exposure and interactions during classes to develop skills to work with diverse clients. Therefore, this descriptive-correlational study explores the relationship between multicultural experiences (personal and academic) and multicultural counseling competencies (self-reported and observer-rated) among Malaysian counselor trainees. All four instruments had been adapted and translated into the Malay language before being completed by 208 randomly selected counselor trainees. This study reported that counselor trainees scored at low levels of personal multicultural experience, high levels of academic multicultural experience, moderate levels of self-perceived multicultural counseling competence, and high levels of observed multicultural counseling competence. The findings showed no significant relationships between personal and academic multicultural experience and self-perceived and observed multicultural counseling competence. In conclusion, the findings imply that there are practices of experiential pedagogy in delivering multicultural counseling courses in counselor education programs. However, more research is needed to identify the underlying variables, such as counseling self-efficacy or self-introspectiveness, which may link the study variables, as this will serve as the most critical aspect in sustaining the counselor trainees’ multicultural counseling competencies.

The purpose of this study is to assess the impact of an innovative 'practice education program utilizing error reporting' on nursing students' immersion in practice, learning satisfaction, and confidence in executing fundamental nursing skills. Conducted over two days (November 28-29, 2022), this descriptive research engaged 110 second-year nursing students from a university in City S. The program, encompassing 24 sessions, each lasting an hour, culminated in debriefings and reflective exercises. Methodologically, the study employed an array of statistical tools, including independent t-tests, one-way ANOVA, Cheffe's test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. Key findings revealed a significant positive correlation between confidence in core nursing skill execution and practice immersion (r=.259, p=.006), as well as between practice immersion and learning satisfaction (r=.266, p=.005). Notably, practice immersion emerged as a pivotal factor influencing core nursing skill performance confidence (β=.272, p=.006), underscoring that heightened immersion positively impacts skill confidence. These insights suggest the need for ongoing program development, reinforced education, and heightened awareness around error prevention and reporting, to further augment nursing education outcomes.

This manuscript addresses the understudied area of academic resilience and positive mental health among Saudi Arabian nursing students. The aim was to elucidate the relationship and predictive factors between demographic characteristics and both academic resilience and positive mental health in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Using a descriptive-correlational and cross-sectional methodology, the study collected data from 1413 nursing students from four government universities in Saudi Arabia using two self-report instruments. Analytical methods included Pearson correlation and linear regression analysis. Results showed that gender and grade point average (GPA) were weakly correlated with students' academic resilience and positive mental health. Notably, these factors were significant predictors of academic resilience and mental well-being in this cohort. The research highlights gender and GPA as critical factors influencing nursing students' ability to cope with academic challenges, potentially extending beyond the pandemic period. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of the dynamics that shape nursing students' academic and psychological resilience during unprecedented times.

This study introduces an innovative control strategy utilizing a nonsingular fast sliding mode technique tailored for robotic systems. The core of this approach lies in the development of a type-2 fuzzy logic-based nominal model, meticulously designed to accurately approximate the dynamics of the real system while adeptly handling the variability in system parameters. This method marks a departure from conventional approaches by inferring the switch signal for type-2 adaptive fuzzy systems, a critical step in achieving superior tracking performance without the necessity for extensive knowledge of the system's upper bounds in uncertainties and external disturbances. The efficacy of the proposed control law is rigorously validated through a series of simulations, encompassing a variety of initial conditions and reference signals, thereby demonstrating its robust performance capabilities.

Older adults in India, particularly those in Goa, where there is a high elderly population, have been insufficiently researched. Some older adults are financially vulnerable in their old age and must continue working, while others choose to work to stay active. Although some studies have examined the health and social issues faced by the elderly, this study contributes to a previously unexplored area in Goa. 400 Goan seniors were surveyed using multistage sampling to investigate their occupations before and after retirement, determine reasons for voluntary retirement and associated factors, and assess variables predisposing them to work. Binary Logistic Regression, Chi-square, and Fisher's Exact Tests were used. The findings showed that many were former government and private sector employees, farmers, and educators. 73 participants retired voluntarily due to factors such as health issues, family commitments, stress, and leisure. Among them, 20.5% are currently employed after retirement. Significant correlations were observed between post-retirement work and age groups such as the young-old and old-old. Factors that attracted the participants to engage in post-retirement work include insufficient income, education, experience, good physical health, and mental alertness. The study found that individuals categorized as young-old, with low household income, financially dependent, and having fewer comorbidities, were more likely to continue working after retirement. These findings highlight the need to end age discrimination and provide equal opportunity for older adults to contribute to society. Policymakers must focus on improving the wellbeing of vulnerable older adults who have inadequate resources and poor health. There is potential for further research in various states of India to understand the labor market decisions of older adults and implement necessary improvements where they are lacking.

This comprehensive research examines the formation of social identity among Saudi youth within the domains of bedrooms, homes, and Istiraha, a traditional communal gathering space. Drawing inspiration from Western studies on room culture and societal dynamics, the primary objective of this research is to scrutinize the socio-cultural transformations occurring within Saudi society, as reflected in the interactions of its youth in these distinct spaces. Departing from the conventional functional and moralistic framing of Saudi youth as social issues, this study adopts a socio-anthropological perspective. It perceives young individuals as active agents in the process of shaping their identities within a unique cultural milieu, employing a descriptive-analytical methodology. Fieldwork was conducted in late 2022, involving the administration of questionnaires to a randomly selected sample of 384 students at the University of Hail, Saudi Arabia, in addition to focus group discussions with 37 students. These methods were utilized to explore students' perceptions, activities, and attitudes within the specific social environments under investigation. The study's findings reveal that Saudi youth employ their bedrooms, homes, and Istiraha spaces to delineate their identities through three distinct social strategies: Autonomy, Reproduction, and Integration. Additionally, this research uncovers a gender-based distinction in the prevalence of room culture among the youth, contrary to Western findings. Istiraha, as an ancient cultural tradition, assumes a significant role as a gathering space for Saudi youth, affording them an opportunity to distance themselves from societal and familial constraints. In light of these discoveries, this research recommends an expansion of studies concerning the anthropology of spaces and social milieus in relation to the ongoing social transformations in Saudi Arabia. Furthermore, it suggests an examination of room culture and Istiraha culture among Saudi youth from the perspective of their parents to gain insights into how these phenomena are perceived, their attitudes towards them, and the resulting behaviors. This exploration can illuminate aspects of generational continuity and disruption within the Saudi social fabric.

Mangrove ecosystems are widely recognized for their crucial role in mitigating climate change through carbon storage and sequestration services. These ecosystems possess significant carbon reservoirs, particularly in their soils. Nevertheless, the unremitting development of coastal areas and alterations in land use constitute impending threats to these ecosystems, endangering the continuity of their invaluable services. Recognizing the crucial role of mangrove ecosystems in mitigating climate change, this study meticulously evaluates the cumulative carbon stocks encompassing the aboveground and soil components within three mangrove-protected areas in the Macajalar Bay region of Misamis Oriental. The study adheres to a logical structure with causal connections between statements, presents information in clear and concise sentences, and follows conventional academic writing formatting. Vocabulary is precise and avoids biased or emotional language. The text adheres to grammatical correctness, consistently uses technical terms, and employs a formal register. The study is free from filler words and employs a passive tone and impersonal construction. Additionally, the text features a consistent footnote style and accurately cites sources. The research findings show that soil carbon makes up a significant portion, ranging from 40% to 90%, of the total carbon stocks in the three study areas. This emphasizes the crucial function of mangrove soils as carbon repositories. Furthermore, the study establishes a direct connection between the age of mangrove stands and the occurrence of large-girth trees, both of which add to the rise in carbon stocks. Despite their substantial carbon storage capacity, mangrove forests in the Macajalar Bay region are still facing encroachments due to urbanization pressures. This assessment of carbon stocks in these coastal ecosystems plays a critical role in developing localized strategies that align with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change's (UNFCCC) REDD+ initiatives, thus preventing further degradation of these vital carbon sinks.
