Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) play an increasingly vital role in the economic advancement of nations. Nonetheless, these enterprises often face challenges in accessing formal external funding channels. The emergence of Islamic microfinance presents a potential solution to alleviate the financial constraints confronting SMEs. Given the primary mission of Islamic microfinance institutions (MFIs) to uplift the socio-economic status of the underprivileged, it becomes imperative to scrutinize their influence on SME growth. This study aims to ascertain the effects of Islamic microfinance on SMEs in Mogadishu, Somalia. Employing a systematic random sampling method, a carefully selected sample of 100 SMEs was determined. A structured survey framework was developed to collect data, and data analysis was conducted using the Statistical Packages for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The study reveals that micro-savings significantly contribute to SME augmentation, with comparatively limited impact from micro-insurance. While many SMEs benefit from Islamic microfinance, there is a shortfall in the attainment of required funding among beneficiaries. This research sheds light on concerns related to borrower defaults, pre-financing screening deficiencies, resource inadequacy, and the absence of governmental and donor support in Islamic microfinance institutions. The implications extend to future research opportunities, emphasizing the need for governmental and stakeholder efforts to streamline financing acquisition from MFIs by relaxing collateral requirements for SME borrowers.

This research aims to assess the pivotal role of total factor productivity (TFP) in shaping the performance of manufacturing enterprises in Vietnam. It systematically examines the influence of technological innovation and the quality of economic institutions on the TFP of these firms. Employing robust methodologies such as control function (CF) and feasible generalized least squares regression (FGLS) models, a comprehensive panel dataset of Vietnamese manufacturing companies is meticulously scrutinized. The data, meticulously sourced from the General Statistics Office of Vietnam and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, spans the five-year period from 2015 to 2019. The findings of this study elucidate several key insights. First, it reveals that the manufacturing landscape in Vietnam is predominantly characterized by labor-intensive operations, with an apparent trend toward increasing returns to scale. Furthermore, the study underscores that TFP's contribution to manufacturing output remains relatively modest, averaging at 1.933 over the period from 2015 to 2019. Additionally, it identifies a concerning decline in the average TFP score, along with a widening gap between firms, which tends to exacerbate during the study period. Finally, the research establishes a positive correlation between investments in production technology and the quality of economic governance within provincial governments in Vietnam, both of which significantly bolster the TFP of manufacturing firms.

This study aims to investigate women's entrepreneurial behavior (WEB) within the context of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Saudi Arabia, utilizing Ajzen’s theory of planned behavior. A conceptual model comprising four latent variables—attitudes towards behavior (ATB), subjective norms (SN), perceived behavioral control (PBC) as exogenous factors, and behavioral intention (BI) as a mediating factor—was examined. Additionally, WEB was evaluated as an endogenous outcome. Data analysis relied on 97 usable responses gathered via a Likert scale-based questionnaire. The findings underscore the significant influence of planned behavior components—attitudes towards entrepreneurship, subjective norms, and PBC—on both women’s entrepreneurial intentions and actual behavior. Notably, the study reveals a substantial mediating role played by BI in linking independent variables (attitudes, subjective norms, and PBC) to WEB. These results advance the understanding of entrepreneurial behavior (EB) prediction, offering insights to decision-makers. Strategies to enhance women’s entrepreneurial intentions include fostering positive attitudes, ensuring favorable social incentives, and bolstering perceptions of control through skill development. Moreover, recommendations are made for a national campaign to raise awareness about the role of social support in entrepreneurship success, aligning with the aspirations of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 initiative.

Over the course of the last two decades, Vietnam has demonstrated a growing interest in public-private partnership (PPP) investments within the domain of road transport infrastructure. However, the overall success rate of these endeavors has remained constrained and, in fact, has displayed a propensity for decline. Understanding the primary determinants behind this phenomenon, particularly the internal factors within the management system, has been a perplexing and protracted process, hindering the development of viable solutions. This research employs a qualitative analysis approach, leveraging in-depth interviews conducted with 250 road traffic infrastructure PPP project managers and experts. The objective is to discern the factors that exert influence over the investment attractiveness of build-operate-transfer (BOT) projects in the vital Southern Key Economic Zone of Vietnam. Subsequently, utilizing the collated data, this study employs a quantitative methodology to measure the impact of these factors via a derived multivariate regression equation. The findings reveal the existence of five distinct groups of factors that affect the investment attractiveness of BOT projects in the Southern Key Economic Zone, classified by their respective levels of influence. These groups encompass factors relating to the role of the state, the legal framework, human resources engagement in PPP ventures, supportive financial instruments, and the allocation of risk. Notably, these outcomes align with previous research efforts, further substantiating the robustness and reliability of the findings presented within this study.

This research paper investigates the influence of different initial design techniques on the area, timing, and power aspects of technology-mapped designs. As a practical case study, we undertake the design and analysis of a 32-bit arithmetic logic unit (ALU) utilizing two distinct adder approaches. The ALU, a fundamental component of all processors, comprises three major units: the Adder responsible for signed and unsigned number addition and subtraction, the Logic unit which handles bitwise logical operations, and the Shifter unit facilitates arithmetic and logical shift operations. The two adder designs are based on the ripple carry method (ALU_RCA) and the Sklansky method (ALU_SKL), respectively. The design and analysis process involved utilizing established toolsets from Cadence, including NCSIM for simulation and verification, RTL Compiler for logic synthesis, static timing analysis and power estimation, and SOC encounter tool for floorplanning and layout. Through this investigation, we aim to shed light on the varying performance implications of different initial design approaches in technology-mapped designs.

The manifold repercussions of climate change encompass diverse facets, encompassing the management of resources, agricultural infrastructure, production systems, and their profound implications for food security, self-sufficiency, and the overall well-being of societies. Regrettably, a significant portion of the populace remains indifferent to or uninformed about the adoption of water conservation practices. Previous scholarship has scrutinized factors influencing individual water-saving behaviors, yet these inquiries have predominantly overlooked the broader contextual elements shaping communal conduct. This study undertakes a comprehensive investigation to discern the multifaceted factors and sociodemographic variables that exert influence upon the water-saving conduct of individuals within a community. Primary data were collected through structured questionnaires administered to a sample of 633 participants. Employing rigorous factor analysis, we distilled a reduced set of factors from the multitude of variables under examination. Factor 1 exhibits a robust association with the utilization of water conservation equipment, while Factor 2 delineates patterns in water usage behavior. Furthermore, this research advances the discourse by deploying a probit model to delineate the relationship between sociodemographic characteristics, such as gender and occupation, and community engagement in water conservation in response to government incentives. Notably, the significance of these models is comparable across different sociodemographic groups, highlighting that both women and individuals with diverse occupational profiles stand to benefit from incentivized water-saving initiatives.

Employing a quantitative research paradigm with a descriptive correlational approach bolstered by a verification process, the study utilizes a closed questionnaire as the primary data collection tool. The dataset, stemming from 32 public elementary schools in Cikande, Serang District, located within Banten Province, Indonesia, and encompassing a total population of 308 teachers, is meticulously distilled through both descriptive and numerical analysis techniques. The findings underscore the presence of a substantial and statistically significant association between managerial competence and the feasibility of school facilities at the population level. Likewise, a pronounced and statistically significant correlation exists between learning leadership and the suitability of school facilities at the population level. Moreover, the research elucidates a noteworthy connection between school feasibility and the overall quality of these institutions across the population. Most notably, a comprehensive interrelationship emerges, where managerial acumen, learning leadership, and facility feasibility converge to exert a substantial impact on school quality at the population level. In light of these empirical insights, the study strongly advocates that school administrators prioritize the enhancement of their managerial competencies, foster adeptness in learning leadership, and diligently uphold and enhance facility feasibility as integral strategies to elevate school quality.
