This study aimed to evaluate the implementation of the Single-Minute Exchange of Die (SMED) methodology based on the Toyota Kata concept in the context of emergency care units. The research methodology involved a literature review, data collection, and analysis of critical tasks in the processes of arranging hospital beds for occupancy and vacating beds. The study identified time-consuming activities and proposed interventions based on SMED principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency. The results highlighted the importance of efficient communication between nurses and the cleaning team, the parallel execution of tasks by multiple individuals, and the installation of auxiliary structures to facilitate movement and reduce travel time. The research framework provided a roadmap for implementing SMED and demonstrated its potential for optimizing health processes in emergency care units. Further research is suggested to evaluate other internal processes and analyze the overall scenario to achieve comprehensive improvements in Brazilian emergency care units. The integration of SMED and lean healthcare tools proves to be a necessary advancement in the health sector, aligning customer expectations with technological innovations and addressing new demands in the field of healthcare

DMAIC is a Six Sigma methodological framework that has attracted the attention of researchers in the field of health (REIS et al., 2021). It is noticed that DMAIC has been used in several processes in health services, such as dispensing medication, hospital discharge and patient admission. Lean Six Sigma, based on the association of DMAIC with lean, brought important and valuable results in the context of health care, such as reducing the length of stay (LOS) in services, increasing patient satisfaction and reducing employee satisfaction. This study aims to evaluate how Lean Six Sigma/DMAIC has been implemented in the health area and its impacts on patient health care processes.

This study aims to cover aspects that were not addressed in previous reviews and update them. A review was conducted on 48 articles published in journals indexed by Web of Science and/or Scopus. The results were compared with those presented in previous reviews on the same subject: lean healthcare. This study identified the state of the art of lean healthcare, considering aspects such as lean tools, healthcare areas, and other factors. Understanding the current knowledge about barriers and tools for implementing lean healthcare should be valuable for healthcare managers. Furthermore, we emphasize that previous studies did not address the mapping of barriers to lean healthcare adoption.

Este artigo analisa as contribuições e aplicações da Teoria das Filas (TF) no campo dos problemas de gerenciamento de serviços de saúde, apresentando um sistema de classificação cronológica dos cuidados de saúde examinados com o auxílio de modelos de filas. O objetivo é descrever as principais tendências na aplicação da TF para os tomadores de decisão em serviços de saúde e fornecer informações para melhorar este processo. Foi realizada revisão bibliográfica a fim de investigar as áreas de saúde suportadas por modelos de filas, além de buscas por artigos que descrevessem modelos de problemas e seus tópicos. O presente trabalho analisou 314 artigos que abordam as aplicações da TF em Gerenciamento de Cuidados em Saúde (GCS), no período de 2014 e 2020, e concluiu-se que esta revisão demonstra que TF pode contribuir para a melhoria dos serviços de saúde e proporciona aos gestores recursos para as alcançarem.

One of the main challenges of the health sector is to reconcile the increase in demand with the installed capacity while maintaining the quality of service. Many of the reasons that prevent a quality treatment have their origin in problems related to the flow, management, and misuse of resources. Based on the above, this article aims to present a guide to evaluating the stages to implement and manage the SMED in the health context based on the Toyota Kata . To achieve this objective, a base method was developed for the implementation of the aforementioned tools, through a literature review and content analysis. It is expected that this study will be able to assist in the evaluation of the waste found in the UPAs and, consequently, in its mitigation.

La evaluación es un proceso transversal determinante en la educación STEAM y las analíticas de aprendizaje puede aportar recursos clave a esta relación, especialmente tras la pandemia de la COVID-19. Por tal razón, el objetivo del estudio es analizar la orientación de la evaluación formativa mediada por analíticas de aprendizaje en la educación STEAM. Con este fin se realizó una revisión sistemática de literatura basada en el método PRISMA en dos bases de datos científicas de alto impacto: Scopus y Web of Science . Los resultados evidencian el carácter mediador de las analíticas de aprendizaje en la evaluación formativa en el contexto educacional STEAM, destacándose la retroalimentación adaptativa, unido a las potencialidades de la inteligencia artificial para una gestión holística del aprendizaje. Finalmente, la integración de la síntesis cualitativa y el análisis de co-concurrencia permitió proyectar la intencionalidad de la evaluación formativa en y desde un entorno de aprendizaje de colaboración, motivación y reflexión; connotándose tres núcleos dinamizadores de la evaluación formativa mediada por AA en un contexto educativo STEAM: la mediación pedagógica interactiva, la gestión creativa de aprendizajes y la comprensión del contexto formativo TIC.

Por tal razón, el objetivo del estudio es analizar la orientación de la evaluación formativa mediada por analíticas de aprendizaje en la educación STEAM. Con este fin se realizó una revisión sistemática de literatura basada en el método PRISMA en dos bases de datos científicas de alto impacto: Scopus y Web of Science . Los resultados evidencian el carácter mediador de las analíticas de aprendizaje en la evaluación formativa en el contexto educacional STEAM, destacándose la retroalimentación adaptativa, unido a las potencialidades de la inteligencia artificial para una gestión holística del aprendizaje. Tradução, adaptação semântica e validação de conteúdo do New Ecological Paradigm Scale for Children para o português brasileiro 巴西葡萄牙语儿童新生态范式量表的翻译、语义适应和内容验证

O presente trabalho teve por objetivo traduzir, adaptar semanticamente e investigar evidências de validade de conteúdo do New Ecological Paradigm Scale for Children (NEP C), instrumento de medida de atitudes ambientais em crianças, para o contexto brasileiro. Neste sentido, foram conduzidos dois estudos. O primeiro contou com um comitê multidisciplinar que avaliou os itens do novo instrumento considerando três critérios: clareza de linguagem, pertinência do constructo e correspondência semântica. Posteriormente, o Coeficiente de Validade de Conteúdo foi empregado. Após tais procedimentos, realizou-se um estudo piloto com 5 crianças pertencentes à população-alvo para se verificar a compreensão da escala pelas mesmas. Enquanto resultados, observou-se que a versão brasileira do NEP C possui equivalência semântica com a escala original e apresenta evidências de validade de conteúdo.
本研究旨在翻译、语义调整和调查新生态范式儿童量表(NEP C)的内容效度证据,这是一种测量儿童环境态度的工具。为此,进行了两项研究。第一个是由一个多学科委员会评估新工具的项目,考虑三个标准:语言清晰度、结构的相关性和语义对应。随后,采用内容效度系数。在这些程序之后,对目标人群中的5名儿童进行了初步研究,以验证他们对量表的理解。结果表明,巴西版本的NEP C与原始量表具有语义等效性,并具有内容效度证据。
