Purpose

The purpose of this study is to establish a synthetic group decision framework based on the Pythagorean fuzzy (PF) set to select the optimal medicine cold chain logistics provider (MCCLP). Fierce market competition makes enterprises must constantly improve every link in the process of enterprise sustainable development. The evaluation of MCCLP in pharmaceutical enterprises is an important link to enhance the comprehensive competitiveness. Because of the fuzziness of expert cognition and the complexity of the decision procedure, PF set can effectively handle the uncertainty and ambiguity in the process of multi-criteria group decision decision-making (MCGDM).

Design/methodology/approach

This paper develops an integrated group decision framework through combining the Decision-Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) technique and combined compromise solution (CoCoSo) approach to select a satisfactory MCCLP within PF circumstances. First, the PF set is used to process the ambiguity and uncertainty of the cognition ability of experts. Second, a novel PF knowledge measure is propounded to measure the vagueness of the PF set. Third, a comprehensive criterion weight determination technique is developed through aggregating subjective weights attained utilizing the PF DEMATEL approach and objective weight deduced by knowledge measure method. Furthermore, an integrated MCGDM approach based on synthetic weight and CoCoSo method is constructed.

Findings

The outcomes of sensibility analysis and comparison investigation show that the suggested decision framework can help decision experts to choose a satisfactory MCCLP scientifically and reasonably. Accordingly, the propounded comprehensive decision framework can be recommended to enterprises and organizations to assess the MCCLP for their improvement of core competitiveness.

Originality/value

MCCLP selection is not only momentous for pharmaceutical enterprises to improve transportation quality and ensure medicine safety but also provides a strong guarantee for enterprises to improve their core competitiveness. Nevertheless, enterprises face certain challenges due to the uncertainty of the assessment environment as well as human cognition in the process of choosing a satisfactory MCCLP. PF set possesses a formidable capability to address the uncertainty and imprecision information in the process of MCGDM. Therefore, pharmaceutical enterprises can implement the proposed method to evaluate the suppliers to further improve the comprehensive profit of enterprises.

Purpose

This study builds on a conceptual model by integrating AI features – Perceived intelligence (PIN) and anthropomorphism (PAN) – while extending expectation confirmation theory (ECT) factors – interaction quality (IQU), confirmation (CON), and customer experience (CSE) – to evaluate the continued intention to use (CIU) of AI-enabled digital banking services.

Design/methodology/approach

Data were collected through an online questionnaire administered to 390 digital banking customers in India. The data were further analysed, and the presented hypotheses were evaluated using partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM).

Findings

The research indicates that perceived intelligence and anthropomorphism predict interaction quality. Interaction quality significantly impacts expectation confirmation, consumer experience, and the continuous intention to use digital banking services powered by AI technology. AI design will become a fundamental factor; thus, all interactions should be user-friendly, efficient, and reliable, and the successful implementation of AI in digital banking will largely depend on AI features.

Originality/value

This study is the first to demonstrate the effectiveness of an AI-ECT model for AI-enabled Indian digital banks. The user continuance intention to use digital banking in the context of AI has not yet been studied. These findings further enrich the literature on AI, digital banking, and information systems by focusing on the AI's Intelligence and Anthropomorphism variables in digital banks.

Purpose

This research has been carried out to study the impact of critical success factors (CSFs) on successful project management of projects in the manufacturing sector. These success factors will pave the way for the successful completion of projects for the manufacturing sector. CSFs play a vital role in the timely conclusion of projects in any organization. For the projects to be successful certain essential factors must be taken into account. These essential factors are identified through this research.

Design/methodology/approach

During this study an adaptive survey of the literature was conducted, after a detailed literature review certain success factors were identified for project management in the manufacturing sector. The number of success factors was reduced to 40 factors based on the level of incidence in the literature. The length of the questionnaire was also given due importance to make the survey more interesting and effective. After that Fuzzy Delphi Method (FDM) was employed to screen the most essential factors. In the end, the Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchical Process (FAHP) was used to rank these factors in order of importance.

Findings

Project Manager Leadership Skills, Economic Environment, Top Management Support, Project Planning, Clear and realistic Goals, and Financial Support have come out to be the most important CSFs for successful project management in the manufacturing sector.

Originality/value

This is novel research to identify CSFs for project management in the manufacturing sector. Previously, most of the studies remained focused on construction and software projects.

Purpose

The research aims to understand the co-existence of nimbleness and resilience in a continuous digital transformation, along with the dynamic capabilities needed to balance the challenges of their co-existence.

Design/methodology/approach

The current study draws on dialogical action design research (D-ADR) to investigate interactions among practitioners and executives. Data are collected from a major Australian financial services organisation (FSO) and many international experts.

Findings

The study presents a framework, the continuous transformation model (CTM), to describe digital transformation within an FSO context, emphasising nimbleness and resilience as its foundational pillars. This framework facilitates the identification of the critical role of organisational capabilities in managing continuous digital transformation, supported by dynamic IT capabilities. More importantly, the findings underscore how these capabilities enable managers to effectively balance the coexistence of nimbleness and resilience.

Research limitations/implications

The CTM contributes to the enterprise information systems literature by offering a coherent understanding of balancing resilience and nimbleness to succeed in digital transformation. In particular, the research model elucidates the relationship between dynamic capabilities and continuous digital transformations.

Practical implications

Digital transformations are not a one-off exercise. Managers in the FSO context must cultivate their organisational capabilities to achieve nimbleness and resilience during their digital transformation journey.

Originality/value

The relationship between dynamic capabilities and continuous digital transformation sheds light on establishing successful management processes within FSOs.
