Risk-Taking Ability and Organizational Resilience among Small Scale Business in Lagos State 拉各斯州小型企业的风险承担能力和组织复原力

One major feature of a successful entrepreneur is the ability to take risk in business and not just any risk but calculated risk that will improve the business organization financially. Thes study examined the impact of risk-taking ability on organizational resilience among Small and Medium- sized Enterprises (SMEs) operating in Lagos State, Nigeria. One of the major drivers of economic growth in any nation is the small and medium scale enterprise sector. This study adopts a descriptive research design using a sample size of 500 business owners from various SME sectors a self-structured questionnaire was used as the research instrument. The finding of this study shows that there is a positive correlation between risk taking ability of a business organization and organizational resilience. This implies that risk taking positively influence organizational resilience among small and medium scale enterprises in Lagos state. The effective engagement of employees, turnover intentions, and job knowledge are affected by talent war in a knowledge environment. This study examined talent retention, job satisfaction, and training and development as proxies for effective job performance. Resource Base View with emphasis on the employee as a strategic resource that enhances competitive advantage was adopted to guide the study. A cross-sectional survey research design was adopted with a sample size of 142 staff. The questionnaire tagged TMPEJP facilitated data collection and was analyzed using Multicollinearity with Variance Inflation Factor (VIF). The instrument was developed, validated, and tested for reliability using Cronbach Alpha. Multiple Regression Analysis was used to test the hypotheses using SPSS. Findings revealed that talent retention significantly influences employee job performance (Beta = 0.545, P<0.05). Job satisfaction significantly influences employee job performance (Beta = 0.756, P<0.05). Training and development significantly influence employee job performance (Beta = 0.692, P<0.05).

Knowledge management comprises the processes of knowledge acquisition, knowledge sharing, and knowledge application that an organization employs to recognize and record knowledge, lessons learned, or best practices This study set out to ascertain the significance of knowledge management and organizational quality service delivery; a survey of selected fast food outlets in Yenagoa metropolis, Bayelsa state. To this end, a descriptive survey research design methodology was applied to scrutinize and give analytical views on existing works of literature and concepts surrounding the role the significance of knowledge management and organizational quality service delivery; a survey of selected fast food outlets in Yenagoa metropolis, Bayelsa state. Knowledge acquisition and organizational innovativeness have a considerable association, according to a detailed data analysis of the study's many components. Furthermore, the research shows a strong connection between organizational innovation and knowledge storage. The results of the study also revealed a strong link between organizational innovation and information distribution. The study also found a strong link between knowledge application and business innovation within organizations. In other words, the study found that management should be skilled at translating new and/or enhanced products, services, and strategies from acquired knowledge and expertise. In view of the above, the study concluded that competitiveness can only be achieved through innovation when the organization can successfully acquire, store, disseminates and applies knowledge. The study recommends thus; fast food outlets should create different mechanisms that will facilitate the acquisition of Knowledge from both internal and external sources. Fast food outlets through flyers and handbills should inform the public on their products.

Quality Service Initiatives and Customer Retention of Four-Star Hotels in Port Harcourt 哈科特港四星级酒店的优质服务举措和客户保留率

This study examined the requirements of quality service initiatives and customer retention of four-star hotels in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. The study adopted descriptive research design to establish a relationship between quality service initiatives and customer retention. Both primary and secondary methods of data collection were used to obtain relevant data for analysis. The instrument of data collection employed was the questionnaire. The study population comprised of The population of the study consists of four (4) star hotels in Port Harcourt. The study focused attention on officers with job titles such as hotel managers, operations managers, heads of departments, unit heads and duty managers or supervisor as respondents for the study hence a total of fifteen (15) respondents per four-star hotel, giving a total of sixty (60) respondents as sample for this study. The data was analyzed using the Spearman Rank Order Correlation Coefficient statistic through the aid of statistical packages for social science version 23.0. The result of the findings revealed the existence of significant and positive relationship between quality service initiatives and customer retention of four-star hotels in Port Harcourt. The researchers conclude that quality service initiatives affect customer retention of four-star hotels in Port Harcourt and therefore recommended that management of four-star hotels in Port Harcourt should pay attention to quality service initiatives and other factors which may lead to customer retention.

The purpose of the study was to examine “reward management policies on employee performance in selected commercial banks in Calabar Metropolis’’. The specific objectives were to: examine the effect of non-monetary reward on employee performance, assess the effect of monetary reward on employee performance. This study adopted cross-sectional survey research design and primary sources of data. Information was gathered using textbooks, journals, published and unpublished journals, libraries and internet applications. From the analysis of the results, it was found that monetary reward had a positive impact on employee performance, since there are tools of growth, development in an organization. Non-monetary reward leads to employees’ productivity through recognition and opportunities. The study recommended that management of organizations should boost the morale of their employees in order to achieve goals and objectives of the organization. Also, the company should come up with lively policies on monetary rewards that will contribute to turnover.

Entrepreneurial Socio-psychological Adjustment and Employment Opportunity Identification of Business Education Students in Ignatius Ajuru University of Education 伊格纳修斯-阿朱鲁教育大学商业教育专业学生的创业社会心理适应和就业机会识别

The study examined the relationship between entrepreneurial socio-psychological adjustment and employment opportunity identification among business education students at Ignatius Ajuru University of Education. Two objectives—research questions and hypotheses—guided the study. A correlation survey research design was adopted. The population of the study was 365 final-year undergraduate Business Education students in the 2021–2022 academic session, with a sample size of 320 students, which is an 88% return rate. Two different sets of questionnaires were used for data collection. The copies of the questionnaires were validated by three experts: two business educators and one psychometrician. The reliability of the instruments was established, and the computations yielded coefficient indexes of 0.81 and 0.89 for entrepreneurial socio-psychological adjustment and employment opportunity identification, respectively. The research questions and hypotheses were answered and tested using Pearson Product Moment Correlation (PPMC), respectively, at the 0.05 level of significance. The study exposed the fact that assimilation and integration relate to employment opportunity identification. The study recommended that the stakeholders who are saddled with the core responsibility of planning and executing the curriculum of the entrepreneurship education program should systematically review the curriculum in order to accommodate the concept of assimilation and integration as a component of entrepreneurial socio-psychological adjustment into the program.

Two different sets of questionnaires were used for data collection. The copies of the questionnaires were validated by three experts: two business educators and one psychometrician. The reliability of the instruments was established, and the computations yielded coefficient indexes of 0.81 and 0.89 for entrepreneurial socio-psychological adjustment and employment opportunity identification, respectively. The research questions and hypotheses were answered and tested using Pearson Product Moment Correlation (PPMC), respectively, at the 0.05 level of significance. The study exposed the fact that assimilation and integration relate to employment opportunity identification. Foreign Direct Investment, External Debt and Economic Growth Nexus: Evidence from Nigeria 外商直接投资、外债与经济增长的关系:尼日利亚的证据

The purpose of this research is to ascertain if inflow of FDI and external debt has significantly impacted the growth of the Nigerian economy from (1980-2017) using the ARDL-ECM framework. Data was extracted from the CBN Statistical Bulletin and WDI dataset of the World Bank. Results from the ARDL estimation output shows that foreign direct investment and external debt possessed a positive and significant effect on economic growth in Nigeria only in the short-run. On the other hand, results from the ARDL Bounds Test depicts an absence of a long-run relationship between foreign direct investment, external debt and economic growth in the case of Nigeria. The study recommended that borrowed funds acquired to finance capital and developmental projects should be properly channelled towards the actualisation and full implementation of such projects.

The study highlights the significant impact of gender- responsive budgeting on narrowing gender gaps in economic security. The article explores the concept of economic security within the framework of gender equality and sustainable development, emphasizing the importance of addressing gender-based discrimination as barriers to women's economic empowerment. Furthermore, the research examines the potential benefits of gender budgeting in achieving broader national development goals, including poverty reduction, increased productivity, and social cohesion. It underscores the need for a holistic approach that integrates gender considerations into all aspects of budget formulation, implementation, and monitoring. Effect of Stakeholder Involvement on Project Management Success in Nigeria's Fast-Moving Consumable Goods Industry 利益相关者参与对尼日利亚快速消费品行业项目管理成功的影响

In the FMCG sector of Nigeria, the study examined the impact of stakeholder participation on project management success. The study was simplified in order to assess the degree to which stakeholder engagement, support, and involvement effect project goals for a set of fast-moving consumer products in Nigeria. The study's qualitative design involved choosing seven FMCG companies in Nigeria: Dangote Sugar Plc, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Nestle Plc, Cadbury Nig Plc, Nigerian Breweries, Guiness Nig Plc, and Unilever Nig Plc. In order to create a cross-sectional period of 70 observations, secondary data on stakeholder involvement, support, and participation as well as the accomplishment of project objectives were sourced and gathered from yearly financial statement of account and Business Source Premier from 2013–2022. The data were subjected to panel regression analysis, and the results demonstrated that among a group of selected FMCGs in Nigeria, stakeholder involvement and participation have positive and significant effects on project goals, whereas stakeholder support has a negative and insignificant impact. Thus, it is concluded that one of the elements influencing project management performance in Nigeria's FMCG business is stakeholder involvement and participation.

Application of Entrepreneurship Orientation and Practices among Business Operators in University Campuses in Rivers State, Nigeria 尼日利亚河流州大学校园企业经营者的创业导向与实践应用

This study examined the extent small-scale business operators on Rivers State University Campuses are able to imbibe and apply entrepreneurial practises and orientation. Two research questions and hypotheses guided the study. The study adopted a descriptive survey design. The population comprised 1,000 university campus business operators in the three public universities in Rivers State. Taro Yamane’s formula was used to select 286 small scale business operators as the sample for the study. A validated 9-item self-designed questionnaire titled "Entrepreneurship Orientation and Practises among Small Scale Business Operators in Universities Questionnaire (EOPSSBOUQ)" was used as the instrument for data collection. The reliability of the instrument was determined through a test-retest method. Mean and z-test statistics were used to answer the research questions and test the hypotheses at a 0.05 confidence level. The findings of the study revealed, among others, that people’s business commitment is very high, and in business practise, small scale business operators take personal responsibility for business outcomes. It was recommended, among others, that entrepreneurs develop more achievement motivation in order to discover more areas for new ventures as well as improve business performance.
