The Parsesciencing mode of inquiry was used to advance understanding of a universal humanuniverse living experience of feeling pulled in different directions. Ten people engaged in dialogue to address the question, "What is your experience of feeling pulled in different directions?" The discerning extant moment of this inquiry was that feeling pulled in different directions is constrained vigor surfacing in wavering with cherished potentials.

Current healthcare practices are geared toward standardized policies and procedures that are intended to guide the practice of all members of the healthcare professions, especially the practice of nurses. Instead of using predefined practices, nurses often choose shortcuts or workarounds to complete daily work in healthcare institutions. Are the shortcuts considered ethical for nurse practice or for members of the discipline of nursing? This article begins an ethical straight-thinking discussion on the conflicting values and implications for those who offer professional nurse services and those who receive these services.

The purpose of the study was to determine the effects of motivational interviewing as based on Pender's health promotion model (HPM) on diabetes self-management behavior among individuals with Type 2 diabetes. Apart from their routine care, the individuals in the intervention group were given a 30-45-minute motivational interview based on Pender's HPM once a week for three months. Statistically significant differences were determined between the groups in the total score of the scales and its sub-dimensions (p < .05). The intervention applied in the present study can be used as an effective and easy method through which to develop and maintain diabetes self-management behaviors.

This study aimed to determine how the nursing approach based on Meleis's transition theory affects the self-management and adjustment to the illness among newly diagnosed diabetic patients. The study was conducted as one-group and pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design. The data were collected using the Introductory Questionnaire, the Diabetes Self-Management Questionnaire (DSMQ), and the Psychosocial Adjustment to Illness Scale-Self Report (PAIS-SR). It was determined that there was a positive increase in the total score of the DSMQ after the intervention, and a positive decrease in the total score of the PAIS-SR, and the difference between the scores were statistically significant (p < .05).

Wisdom and the Bible in Teaching-Learning through Global Service Experiences.

Teresa Hamilton, Rebecca Meyer, Terri Thompson, Melissa Anozie, Marion Dunkerley, Karen Bradley

The authors, who are nursing faculty members and leaders at a faith-based institution of higher education, discuss their concept of wisdom and how it guides their teaching and practice. Wisdom is seen by them as a universal humanuniverse living experience that is inspired and cocreated with their faith and understanding of God with others. They apply the concept of wisdom in global service experiences that their institution supports. These experiences strengthen their inherent core whatness as they cocreate what is important in the moment while participating in teaching-learning.

The Humanbecoming Concept Inventing Model: Feeling Betrayed.

Edwin-Nikko R Kabigting

The author of this paper discusses the phenomenon of feeling betrayed theoretically and conceptually. Through the use of the humanbecoming concept inventing model, the author illuminates the now-truth of feeling betrayed as agonizing anguish arising with the shattered trust of communion-aloneness. At the level of science, feeling betrayed was declared as imaging the powering of connecting-separating as an ingenuous proclamation with the scholar's chosen artform.
