Cervicalgia is common in people aged 45-54. Neck pain is common among people of working age. It negatively affects the life quality and reduces labor productivity. In the review below, we analyzed the literature on the application of a comprehensive approach to the treatment of cervicalgia (hereinafter referred to neck pain) using various physical methods (physiotherapy, exercise therapy, massage, manual therapy), reflexology and other methods, but not excluding the use of drugs, taking into account clinical recommendations. The study was conducted using the resources of cyberleninka.ru, pubmed, ncbi.nlm.nih.gov.

The article presents the records of the study of the influence of drug and non-drug treatment on the possibility of correcting biomechanical changes in patients with chronic pelvic pain syndrome. The possibilities of increasing the therapy effectiveness by using an original method based on direct visual biofeedback are shown. The study involved 60 patients; the average age was 42 (18-65 years). The duration of treatment was 21 days. Subjective pain perception, pain area, biomechanical changes, and muscle syndrome index were analyzed. It was found out that after complex treatment with biofeedback the indexes of subjective pain perception, pain area, muscle syndrome as well as the biomechanics study parameters significantly improved.

The formation and development of neurovascular bundles during the embryonic period determines their individual anatomical characteristics. The growth of neurovascular bundles and the organization of paraneural spaces are influencedby various growth factors. The neurovascular bundles are located freely in the paraneural spaces and are not subject to damaging compression effects. The occurrence and existence of tunnel syndromes in natural conditions is impossible. Pathological processes, which are localized outside or inside the paraneural spaces, can significantly change the topographic and anatomical relationships of the neurovascular bundle and the surrounding space.

The article summarizes and analyzes publications on the effect of respiratory support experienced by children of the first year of life in the early neonatal period on their respiratory organs and on the effectiveness of rehabilitation using manual therapy and osteopathy. A review of domestic and foreign publications for the period from 1983 to 2022 with the selection of articles on this topic published in peer-reviewed journals was carried out. According to the study results, it is shown that children, who underwent artificial lung ventilation at birth, have a characteristic picture of biomechanical disorders, the key link in the pathogenesis of which is the primary lesion of the phrenic nerve. The correction of somatic dysfunctions (SD) using osteopathic (manual) manipulations significantly increases the effectiveness of rehabilitation measures.

The article presents the results of assessing the functional state of the autonomic nervous system in patients with circulatory disorders in the vertebrobasilar system. It has been established that the addition of neuro-reflex diagnostic methods (dynamic segmental diagnostics and manual examination) improves the assessment of the functional state of the sympathetic nervous system and allows monitoring the effectiveness of etiopathogenetic therapy. The application of methods of reflexotherapy and biodynamic correction of the spine improves the functional state of the autonomic nervous system and enhances the effectiveness of treatment of patients with circulatory disorders in the vertebrobasilar system.

The article offers a description of an urgent medical problem that has been actively considered as an interdisciplinary problem for several years. The author considers the formation of child development delays as an element of pathogenesis in case of craniocerebral disproportion / nonsyndromiccraniosynostosis resulting from perinatal lesions of the central nervous system, and he describes this cause-and-effect relationship based on his own model [4,5] and literature data. This approach makes it possible to introduce new details into the understanding of pathogenesis of developmental delays in young children and, consequently, to consider new methods of solving the problem of their correction.

The article presents the possibility of applying the principles of evidence-based medicine to manual therapy. The complementary medicine, which includes manual therapy, faces certain difficulties when carrying out randomized clinical trials. In our opinion, a new paradigm of the science-based clinical trials is needed for manual therapy.

Headaches are a common neurological complaint during pregnancy. Most are primary and benign but secondary headaches may also occur. In the first trimester, the complaints are mainly due to primary headaches, and in the last trimester, the proportion of secondary headaches increases. This article provides clinical characteristics of secondary headaches during pregnancy. The limited range of drugs that can be used during pregnancy, in the absence of potential adverse effects on the mother and fetus/newborn, causes certain difficulties in the management of these patients. This review will consider approaches to the treatment of headaches during pregnancy. A non-drug therapeutic strategy is preferred for the treatment of primary headaches during pregnancy. Treatment should not be delayed because uncontrolled headaches can have negative effects on both the mother and the fetus. If non-drug therapy does not lead to the expected control of headache attacks, a choice should be made regarding the use of drug therapy while weighing the benefits and risks of such a choice.

Pain originating in the sacroiliac joint (SIJ) is one of the potential causes of axial low back pain. A quarter of low back pain cases can be associated with the SIJ damage. The review presents the causes and current clinical data associated with the SIJ dysfunction, describes specific (provocation) tests used to detect the SIJ syndrome. Diagnostic tests and their effectiveness for differential diagnosis are described. The methods of instrumental diagnostics, conservative treatment, including manual therapy, and interventional options for treating patients with pain in the SIJ zone are described in detail.
