The article presents the results of research that aimed to produce alternatives for the autonomy and economic sustainability of a bumba meu boi group in the state of Maranhão. Based on a critical view of co-creation and the production and circulation of craft products, the action research undertaken uses co-creation tools to come up with products that can be produced by the group, which is idle from embroidery practice during the second half of the year, often falling into a situation of social vulnerability. The co-creation carried out took place through workshops and the use of tools, and the results of the research, in addition to the co-created products, provide a reflection through triangulations involving the methodological path, the statements of the co-researchers and the theory used, generating a reflection on the subject.

This article aims to analyze and compare aspects of the Slow Movement that relate to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the UN. To achieve this, three strands of the Slow Movement were investigated: Slow Design, Slow Living and Cittaslow. The methodological procedures involved a literature review and comparative analysis of the practices associated with each strand with the relevant SDGs. The results indicate that the Slow Movement has a coherent approach with several SDGs, such as Sustainable Consumption and Production, Health and Well-Being, Sustainable Cities and Communities and Action Against Global Climate Change. The results indicate that adopting the Slow Movement can make a significant contribution to a more equitable, healthy and sustainable future, where valuing quality, connecting with the community and respecting the environment are central priorities in the search for a more conscious and resilient world.

The current model of production, consumption, and disposal of goods contributes to the maintenance of the consumerist cycle that has implications for the biosphere. This article seeks to expose the consequences of excessive consumption in the environmental sphere and in the lives of buyers, explaining the understanding of this habit through reflection on sales practices such as, for example, marketing and advertising strategies. Two authors guided the development of this article, Manzini and Vezzoli (2011) and Lipovetsky (2007), as part of the theoretical framework, as they present thematic relationships and complementary points of analysis about consumption. The research is characterized by its qualitative approach and basic nature based on bibliographical research (carried out that, when related, demonstrates how the habit of going shopping is assimilated by the human being, resulting in the clarification of the consumption cycle, factors that allow its intensification, in addition to the survey of fundamental pillars for the maintenance of consumerist behavior.

Research into digital design assistance and artificial intelligence (AI) is not new. Advances stemming from them have strongly marked our way of developing projects, reaching the potential for disruptive and discontinuous creations, far beyond what we know in the world. AIs have plenty of room to grow, and within decades intelligent machines could possibly surpass human intelligence. But first there will be a significant disruption in the way we behave, practice and learn. We need to understand how to deal with this advance. This study is interested in expanding and diversifying the use of AIs in the design practice of Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Design, proposing an introductory mapping (basic framework) of which AI-based systems, services and artifacts actually assist, affect and are available for use by designers, as well as what changes in design practice with regard to conceptualization, interpretation, functionality and performance, the natural requirements of AECD projects.

The purpose of the research presented in this paper is to examine the ecological and social benefits of implementing a biodigester, triggered by Organic and Domestic Urban Solid Waste, with the aim of generating electricity at Bairro Confisco, one of the most affected areas by the climate crisis in Belo Horizonte-MG, Brazil. The methodology adopted has sought to integrate the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) method and the Systemic Design (SD) principles. Under the DS's non-linear approach, it has been possible to visualize the relationships between neighborhood social actors as well as the interaction of local institutional actors. Thus, in the first phase of the LCA, the objective and scope have been defined, including the biodigester system boundaries. As a result, the Life Cycle Inventory (second phase of the LCA) is presented. It has been crafted from the system conceptual model's development and encompasses the processes involved and the quantification of its inputs and outputs. This quantification is being used to assess the environmental impacts.

This article presents the development, with an emphasis on social and environmental design, of a material aimed at developing the learning of children aged between 6 (six) months and 5 (five) years of age, for the H.U. toy library. (University Hospital of the Federal University of Santa Catarina -UFSC). The objective is to develop a fun and easily cleanable toy/game. The design practice used different methods to identify the needs of children and their learning process, in different areas, both motor and sensory, and which consisted of research carried out with a visit to the aforementioned environment. The result is a board with easy-to-use, interlocking pieces that contains some animals from Brazilian biomes in their respective habitats and that will help these children play and learn about some animals

This paper proposes the presentation of the concept ‘production of subjectivities’ as a premise for the development of new design attitudes aimed at regeneration, in which socio-environmental issues are fundamental. A critique of design will be articulated with the notion of production of subjectivity, pointing to Ecosophy, an ethical-aesthetic-political paradigm proposed by Félix Guattari, as a framework for the theoretical-methodological development of regenerative design processes. Finally, a case will be presented where these methodological perspectives were tried out in design processes. As a result, we identified that this paradigm was fundamental for the development of meta-project reflection, more than project solutions. And from these reflections emerged critical productions in the form of manifestos that would serve as the necessary catalyst for the regeneration not only of the territory but of the subjectivities and social relations involved.
