SPINK1, a trypsin inhibitor secreted by the pancreas, is closely associated with the development of pancreatitis. Additionally, SPINK1 exhibits multiple biological functions, acting as a trypsin inhibitor, a growth factor-like protein, and a negative regulator of autophagy. This paper reviews the role of the SPINK1 gene and its variants in pancreatitis development, its expression as TATI in cancer, and its role in oncogenesis.

The wastewater from coffee production is rich in nutrients, especially pectin and protein, but there are few studies on the effective extraction and utilization of these resources. The purpose of this experiment is to explore the extraction methods of pectin and protein from coffee wastewater, including acid extraction, enzyme extraction and ultrasonic extraction, and to determine the content of protein and total sugar by photometer. Through experiments, we can effectively extract these valuable nutrients and provide reference for the resource utilization of coffee production wastewater.

The purpose of this paper is to alleviate depression in college students, investigate the role of Ba duanjin in alleviating depression in college student groups, and give experience for expanding domestic mental health theories and intervention methods. College students exhibiting symptoms of depression were identified using the Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS), with a total score between 50-70 serving as the screening criterion. Participants meeting the criteria were randomly assigned to either the experimental group or the control group. The experimental group underwent an eight-week intervention involving Ba Duan Jin exercise, whereas the control group received no specific intervention. The level of depressive symptoms among the college students was assessed using the SDS before and after the intervention. The SDS scores of the experimental group showed a statistically significant decrease compared to the pre-intervention scores (P < 0.05). Additionally, the post-intervention SDS scores of the experimental group were significantly lower than those of the control group (P < 0.05). These findings indicate that the prescribed Ba Duan Jin exercise effectively improves depression and reduces psychological pressure among college students. This highlights the potential of Ba Duan Jin exercise as an intervention for addressing depression in the college student population.

In order to study the antibacterial effect of methylene blue (MB) photosensitizer-mediated photodynamic therapy (PDT) on Streptococcus mutans in aqueous solvent form, SDS solution form and their mixed form, the influence of MB-PDT on antibacterial effect of Streptococcus mutans in different dosage forms was analyzed. The number of colonies after and before photodynamic therapy mediated by MB-mediated photodynamic therapy was compared by in vitro viable bacterial colony counting method. Negative control group, light alone group, water dosage MB group, mixed dosage MB group, SDS dosage MB group, water dosage MB-PDT group, mixed dosage MB-PDT group and SDS dosage MB-PDT group were set up respectively the effect of different dosage forms of photosensitizers on the antibacterial effect of Streptococcus mutans was analyzed by counting and comparing in vitro for 24 hours. Through in vitro culture experiment, it was found that the number of colonies in water dosage form, mixed dosage form and SDS dosage form MB-PDT group was less than that in water dosage form, mixed dosage form and SDS dosage form MB. The proportion of viable bacteria in SDS MB group was significantly lower than that in water and mixed MB groups, and the antibacterial rate of SDS MB-PDT group was significantly higher than that in water and mixed MB-PDT group. These results indicated that MB-PDT could significantly inhibit the proliferation and growth of Streptococcus mutans. Among them, SDS MB-PDT group had more obvious antibacterial effect on Streptococcus mutans than water MB-PDT group and mixed MB-PDT group, but there was no significant difference in antibacterial effect between water MB-mediated PDT group and mixed MB-mediated PDT group.

Wildfires as one of the most common and frequent environmental disasters in North America, Billions of government spending, public funds, resources, and personnel have been placed to cope with this natural disaster directly. The smoke, debris, particulates, ambient ultrafine particles, and other wildfire emissions have increasingly become a public health concern to which senior populations are particularly vulnerable, due to the populations' general behaviour and their physical health conditions. This essay investigates the implications of wildfires on public health by identifying the relationship between the exposure of wildfire emissions and the incidences of chronic respiratory disease in the senior population in the Greater Toronto Area. This research estimates the effects of wildfire emission exposure by using the cross-examination of the relevant health factors, including the incidence of wildfire; particulate level, ambulance service operation log and reported respiratory emergency disease to the incidences of wildfires. The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) have been placed to estimate the effect range and proximity of CRD incidences to the wildfire location.

In this experiment, the Pichia Pastoris expression plasmid pPIC9K/scFv-Mmut was constructed, and the immunotoxin scFv-Mmut was successfully expressed in the eukaryotic expression system of Pichia Pastoris. The effect and mechanism of immunotoxin scFv-Mmut on inhibiting activity and inducing apoptosis of breast cancer cells were analyzed by in vitro assay. Through this experiment, it can be found that after the treatment of BT474 cells with a certain concentration of scFv-Mmut, the cell cycle will be affected and be blocked in the S phase, which proves that scFv-Mmut can induce the apoptosis of BT474 cells and has a significant anti-breast cancer effect.

The Chinese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs issued Announcement No. 194, stipulating that "starting from January 1, 2020, all growth-promoting drugs except traditional Chinese medicine shall be phased out as feed additives; starting from July 1, 2020, feed production companies shall cease the production of commercial feed containing growth-promoting drug additives (excluding traditional Chinese medicine)". The development of alternative antibiotic feed additives has become a hot topic in the livestock industry. In this study, the residues produced in the production process of Astragalus formula particles was used as raw material, and probiotics for feed additives were selected for solid fermentation, select the best fermentation strains and optimize the fermentation process; detect different analytical methods of fermentation products, nutritional components and safety and health conditions through in vitro experiments. Through the above research, it aims to provide a basis for the research and development of dietary antibiotic substitutes and traditional Chinese medicine residue resources.

Many inorganic elements play fundamental role in biochemical processes, such as photosynthesis, which is an incredibly important biological processes in this planet. This paper reviewed the role of Mg, Mn, Cu and Fe in photosynthesis. Magnesium plays a role in maintaining the structure of chlorophyll, due to its appropriate size, charge, and redox-inert feature. Manganese is required for photosynthetic O2 evolution. Copper and iron usually form metalloproteins with ligands such as halide and amino acid residual and serve as electron transporters in PSI and PSII. In the past a couple of decades, structures of major redox metalloproteins and principles of important photosynthetic reactions have been intensively studied, and significant progresses have been made. However, there are still a number of ambiguous points that need to be clarified.
