The aim of the article is to analyse the experience of visualising the national bibliography data as a method of studying the documentary flow of the country’s publishing products, and as a means of imaging publishing industry statistics (using the example of Sweden). Research methods. Achieving the set goal is carried out using a system of general scientific and special methods: theoretical (analysis, synthesis, generalisation, etc.), empirical (description), review and analytical, comparative, statistical, etc.). The methodological basis of the study are general scientific principles of objectivity, complexity, continuity and comprehensiveness. From the standpoint of scientific methodology, the issue is studied on the system approach basis. Scientific novelty. The conducted analysis of the project in data visualisation of the national bibliography of Sweden presents an original approach to imaging some certain bibliographic data set, studying the documentary flow of publishing products, conducting publishing statistics, and informing users more widely in an accessible form. Main conclusions. The national bibliography of Sweden presents current and quality statistics data on the country’s publishing products. Implemented by the Royal Library of Sweden, the project in bibliographic data visualisation shows that the national bibliography, as an authoritative and transparent indicator of tendencies in Swedish book publishing, makes it possible not only to analyse the products publication, but also to clearly and definitely visualise and illustrate it. Visualisation makes it possible to identify certain relationships in the set of information about new publications, to display the distribution of data, as well as composition and comparison. The project demonstrates the ability of the Royal Library of Sweden, as a national bibliographic agency, to effectively and efficiently adapt to the modern media-landscape, and respond to the current demands of time and the users’ needs. Mastering the Swedish experience in data visualisation can contribute to improving the Ukrainian bibliographic practice and transformation of the national bibliography of Ukraine in the digital environment.

The aim of the article is to find out the specifics of modern official correspondence in Ukraine through the prism of modern challenges, new requirements and standards. Research methods ground on the general scientific studying of the problem. In the course of processing the professional literature of this scientific article, the review and analytical method is applied, as well as with the help of comparative analysis, a congruous research of the syntactic content of phrases in English and Ukrainian business letters is conducted. The use of the induction method makes it possible to make necessary generalisations and conclusions. The scientific study is built on the principles of objectivity and integrity. The scientific novelty consists in determining the main communicative requirements, linguistic and structural peculiarities of modern official letters. Main conclusions. Under the influence of recent events in Ukraine, official correspondence has acquired new features due to the changes in conditions and forms of communication, in particular, it is characterised by manifestations of empathy, openness and frankness, taking into account the fact that it is not always possible to adhere to working hours by maximum clarity of the formulated tasks. At the same time, the existing standards, and the legislative and regulatory framework regarding the design of official letters are being improved. Communications are moving to a remote plane, and electronic documentation is gaining advantages. Along with Ukrainian, English is becoming more and more functional for use. A comparative analysis of the language content of business letter phrases written in these languages shows that the structure of official letters remains unchanged regardless of the country to which they are sent, which makes it possible to create a conventional template of a letter to English-speaking partners and use it. Such typification of texts is suitable for further usage, provides an opportunity to significantly save time for writing similar letters in future. However, the role and advantage of the Ukrainian language functioning within Ukraine remains indisputable.

The aim of the article is to highlight the content of the concept “a finding aid” of archives, and peculiarities of its presentation on the websites of central state archives of Ukraine. Research methods: scientific analysis, synthesis, generalisation. The terminological analysis helps to clarify the essence of concepts related to the archive finding aid. Structural and systemic approaches allow to consider the finding aid of archives as a system of interconnected archival directories. The scientific novelty of this research lies in the fact that different definitions of the finding aid as a set of archival directories and an auxiliary element of any archival directory are revealed; the conducted analysis of the websites of the central state archives of Ukraine shows a number of shortcomings; recommendations regarding the presentation of the finding aid on the websites of the central state archives of Ukraine are offered. Main conclusions. The war in Ukraine and the optimisation of the system of central state archives led to their reduction (7 archives were created o ut of 9). Reducing the number of archives should improve the organisation of their websites, but we have to note the lack of standardisation in the presentation of the archives’ finding aid. The concept of “the finding aid” can be considered, firstly, as a set of archival directories in any form, and secondly, as an auxiliary element of any archival directory. The analysis of the websites of the central state archives of Ukraine proved the following: the absence of a unified representation of the finding aid apparatus on the websites; the dispersion of elements of the finding aid on the website; collections of archival documents often do not have an explanation of what kind of collection they are, as well as for what purpose they were created. Such a situation does not improve search capabilities of archive users, and makes it difficult to find the necessary information. In our opinion, it is necessary: to unify the presentation of the finding aid apparatus (to separate printed and electronic ones); submit short abstracts for document collections.

The aim of the article is to study prospects for the artificial intelligence technologies usage by public libraries of Ukraine in conditions of digital transformation of society. Research methods. General scientific research methods are used, in particular, analysis and generalisation of possibilities of language prognostication models based on neural networks in the activity of Ukrainian public libraries. The scientific novelty of the obtained results consists in actualising the problem of using ChatGPT 3.5, Gemini, Microsoft Bing and Grok technologies in the library sphere, and outlining the key possibilities of using these language models of artificial intelligence among public libraries. The usage of new generation chatbots for interacting with users of public libraries, searching the information and generating content are actively gaining popularity, moving from theory to practical level. Linguistic models of neural networks are used to create marketing campaigns, analysis and familiarisation with the content of works and archival materials, interaction with library users, and finding answers to professional questions. Main conclusions. The potential of language prognostication models based on neural networks in the practical activity of public libraries is analysed. By means of the analysis of ChatGPT 3.5, Gemini, Bing Chat and Grok technologies, and their usage in the library sphere, the main potential possibilities of interaction of information institution employees with these technologies are determined. In particular, the integration of ChatGPT functions through API into the system of public libraries will allow to optimise searching the information in the database and and feedback opportunities with library users. Using the ChatGPT 3.5 neural network service will speed up the development of a marketing content plan, instructions, as well as automate book recommendations based on the analysis of the readers’ preferences and books read. It is found out that the methods of implementing innovative models can allow not only to qualitatively improve the service of public libraries users, but also to automate their work in order to optimise the performance of everyday tasks, preserve cultural heritage and access to digital resources. In the future, the level of deepening the involvement of these technologies will inevitably grow. The sooner library institutions start using neural networks in everyday practice, the sooner they will be able to facilitate the work of library sphere workers, provide improved users’ service, and increase the effectiveness of library marketing support. It is emphasised that experiments on the use of artificial intelligence language models still need an empirical research method. Particularly, they require attention not only from the point of view of usage for personal purposes, but also in the professional activity of the library sphere.

The aim of the article is to study the long-term translation studies activity of P. Kulish based on the epistolary sources material stored in the funds of the Institute of Manuscripts of V. I. Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine (hereinafter – IM NBUV), and Chernihiv State Literary-Memorial Museum of Mykhailo Kotsyubynsky (hereinafter – CSLMMMK). In a broad culturological context, the significance of his translation studies activity for the prerequisites of forming the Ukrainian literary language is highlighted, but at the same time, he is distinguished by his own translation style and the author’s handwriting. All names of documents and their content, which are contained in library and museum institutions, are presented in the original language, and without any spelling changes. Research methods. This article grounds on general scientific methods of analysis and synthesis, which involved historical, systematic, typological and aesthetic ones, as well as methods of archival and source-based heuristics, source studies criticism, textual analysis of sources and information reconstruction. The combination of these scientific methods makes it possible to analyse in detail the activity of P. Kulish in the field of Ukrainian translation studies. The scientific novelty of the study consists in highlighting the epistolary sources (manuscripts of letters, diary, telegrams) that are stored in the archives of the IM NBUV, and which reveal the translation studies work of P. Kulish. In particular, they point to a significant amount of available documents that testify to the artist’s titanic activity in the process of translating works of European and world literature classics into the Ukrainian language. First of all, the process of translation and publication of V. Shakespeare’s works is described in detail from the corpus of epistolary sources specified in this research. Main conclusions. A large number of P. Kulish’s letters, more than one and a half thousand epistles, is accumulated in the IM NBUV funds. The presented set of archival documents shows one of the many creative interests of P. Kulish, the artist’s translation activity during all his life. This can be proved by the writer’s correspondence and all the documents related to this topic found in NBUV. The epistolary of P. Kulish is scattered among twelve funds of the scientific institution, and is a valuable informational resource that indicates the significance of the translator’s scientific and creative work. CSLMMMK funds also contain a considerable number of archival documents (both letters and translation manuscripts) that directly highlight the translation activity of P. Kulish. A large block of documents related to the writer’s name is concentrated in the fund of his wife, Hanna Barvinok. This is mainly the epistolary heritage of the artist, who corresponded with many correspondents of P. Kulish, particularly, after his death. It is well known to publicity that that P. Kulish translat

The aim of the article is to study the level of acceptance and approval, to reveal the status and outline the prospects for harmonising national standards in accordance with international normative documents in the field of information sciences, library, publishing and archival studies. Reresearch methods. The offered research grounds on a set of general scientific methods. In the course of studying the professional literature of scientific articles for the set goal and solving the tasks, the methods of analysis and synthesis, generalisation and systematisation, the method of grouping national standards according to the code designations of the National Standard 004: 2020 of the “Ukrainian Classifier of Regulatory Documents” are used, which make it possible to draw conclusions about the methods and the level of accepted and approved harmonised standards in information sciences. The scientific novelty of the article consists in revealing the level of adopting and approving harmonised national standards in information, library, publishing and archival studies in accordance with international regulatory documents, which ensures a high-quality level of development of standardisation in Ukraine. Main conclusions. The first adopted and approved national standards in information, library, publishing and archival studies as harmonised with international norms, requirements, rules and regulatory provisions according to the degree of compliance are mostly identical or modified, some of them are not equivalent to international regulatory documents. During the last decade the Ukrainian information community development the degree of adoption and harmonisation of national standards in relation to international normative documents has increased to 100 %, which makes it possible to improve information support, optimise the fund of normative documents, scientific and terminological base, analytical and synthetic processing of scientific and technical information, documentary, informational, library, publishing and archival studies. As a rule, harmonisation and implementation of international standards in the information sphere is a priority task for ensuring a qualitatively new level of standardisation development in Ukraine.
