Based on 257 consumer survey data, a binary logistic regression model is built to empirically test the relationship between multi-dimensional geographical indication characteristics, consumer perceived value and online purchase intention for fresh agricultural products with geographical indications. The results show that quality is the key dimension in the evaluation of geographical indications. Meanwhile, the market recognition, popularity, reputation and cultural history of geographical indications can significantly stimulate consumers’ online purchase intention, with the impacts of different dimensions varying. In addition, the popularity, reputation, product quality and cultural history of geographical indications can affect consumers’ perceived value, thereby affecting their purchase intention.

Poland, an emerging economy in eastern Europe, became a member of the EU since 2004, however, due to economic and political reasons, the country is not yet in the Eurozone and still maintained its own central bank, independent monetary policies, as well as their local currency Zloty. Historically, the country has experienced high inflation during its systematic economic reformation after the end of its communist era, but it successfully maintained a low inflation rate afterwards until the start of the Ukrainian War in 2022. Through utilizing Python, this research analyzed the effect of both Poland’s and Eurozone’s monetary policy as well as key economic and geopolitical events on Poland’s inflation rate. The research discovered that the only exogeneous factors that influenced Poland’s inflation rate is its domestic monetary policy and the Ukrainian War. The research also made a 12-month ahead forecast on Poland’s inflation rate and made recommendations to global corporations amid the uncertainties.

Finance stands as the lifeblood of the real economy, intricately interwoven with governmental factors (e.g., governance efficacy), levels of urbanization, and the reservoir of human capital. This study leverages panel data encompassing 30 provinces across China spanning from 2005 to 2020, with financial agglomeration (fin) as the focal variable. Employing the measurement framework , financial agglomeration is assessed via the location entropy of the financial sector derived from employee metrics. Subsequently, industrial structural evolution (str) is posited as the dependent variable, while governmental influences (zc), urbanization dynamics (cit1), and educational attainment (ledu) are incorporated as control variables to construct an empirical analysis model. The empirical findings, evaluated through Pool OLS, random effects, and fixed effects methodologies, corroborate a substantively positive correlation between financial agglomeration and industrial structural refinement.

In recent years, the ESG performance of firms has attracted considerable attention from both academia and the practical field. Enhancing firms' ESG performance not only serves as a “wind vane” for sustainable development but also injects new vitality into the high-quality growth of China’s economy. As the core actors within the corporate power hierarchy, the heterogeneity characteristics of the executive team are significant determinants of corporate behavior and may influence firms' ESG performance. Based on Corporate Life Cycle Theory and Upper Echelons Theory, this paper empirically tests the relationship between executive team heterogeneity and firms' ESG performance using the data from Chinese A-share listed companies for the period 2009-2021. The empirical results reveal that age heterogeneity and financial background heterogeneity in the executive team have significant negative effects on firms' ESG performance; in contrast, executive team academic background heterogeneity significantly enhances firms' ESG performance. The mechanism test indicates that the quality of accounting information disclosure plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between executive team heterogeneity and firms' ESG performance. Further analysis shows that the effect of executive team heterogeneity on firms' ESG performance is more pronounced in corporates that are in the mature and decline stages. This study enriches the research on the economic consequences of executive team heterogeneity and the influencing factors of firms' ESG performance, providing theoretical support and empirical evidence for promoting sustainable development and deeply implementing the "Dual Carbon" goals.

With the improvement of environmental protection awareness and the in-depth rule of law, the compliance construction of environment-related enterprises has become the focus of social attention. It is necessary to discuss the role of optimization and strategy adjustment of the procuratorial organs in promoting the construction of corporate compliance from the perspective of environmental pollution crimes. Corporate compliance and the current situation of enterprises involved in environmental pollution crimes in China deserve attention. Meanwhile, the procuratorial organs play the role of supervisor in the regulation to promote the compliance of enterprises with environmental pollution, but its supervision effect is limited. The procuratorial organs with a supervisory role when promoting corporate compliance aim to enhance corporate development. During the enterprise compliance, whether an enterprise complies or not needs to be analyzed from the perspective of game theory, which is always driven by its interests and external regulatory incentives. Compliance construction and improvement of legal procedures from the perspective of norms should consider incentives and regulations for the implementation of compliance plans, the construction of the legal status of third-party organizations, and post-event incentives and feedback from third-party organizations.

Against the backdrop of globalization and industrialization, cities, as hubs of economic, cultural, and social activities, are increasingly facing issues of carbon emissions and energy consumption. To address climate change and achieve sustainable development goals, low-carbon urban development has become a global consensus. As an emerging economic form, the economy of digit, with its efficient, intelligent, and green characteristics, offers new solutions for urban development of low carbon. The digital economy is not merely an accumulation of technologies, but rather a key pathway to achieving low-carbon, sustainable urban development. Through the application of digital technologies, it is possible to optimize energy structures, promote industrial upgrading and transformation, enhance the level of intelligence in urban management, and foster the formation of green consumption and lifestyles. However, the digital economy is merely a means; the true goal is to realize the low-carbon sustainable development of cities. The application of digital technologies needs to be combined with the joint efforts of governments, businesses, and society to achieve the greatest impact. To this end, it is essential to focus on actual development situations, strengthen technological innovation and application, improve data security and privacy protection mechanisms, formulate targeted policy guidance and regulatory measures, and promote the deep integration of the digital economy with urban low-carbon development to meet the demands of sustainable urban growth.

In the development of modern tourism, smart tourism, as a major direction, signifies the deep integration of information technology and the tourism industry. To achieve established goals, organizations need to keep pace with the times and continually adapt to and lead the new trends in industry development. In specific practice, conducting thorough market research is essential. The current tourism market exhibits diversified and personalized consumption characteristics, requiring organizations to deeply understand consumer needs and preferences to provide more accurate and efficient services. Through big data analysis and artificial intelligence technology, organizations can more precisely grasp market dynamics, providing strong support for the formulation of marketing strategies. In various marketing events, organizations should be based on development, continually summarizing experiences, exploring innovative paths, and through cross-industry cooperation, more tourism industry marketing resources can be tapped to achieve effective connection between the tourism industry and other industry structures, promoting diversified development of regional economy.

Deepening the financial system reform is an important part of economic high-quality development, and environmental regulation is a necessary path. Based on this, in the context of China's economic development increasingly pursuing the green transformation of the new era, this paper stands on the perspective of vertical fiscal asymmetry to explore the changes in the strength of environmental regulation. Based on the panel data of 30 provinces between 2007 and 2021, I empirically analyze the impact of vertical fiscal asymmetry on the strength of environmental regulation and how it works. It is shown that vertical fiscal asymmetry has an inhibitory effect on the strength of environmental regulation, and the results of the mode of action show that the increase in the degree of marketization weakens the inhibitory effect of vertical fiscal asymmetry on the strength of environmental regulation to a certain extent. Therefore, it is necessary to take measures such as continuing to deepen the reform of the fiscal system, deepening the reform of the industrial structure, and moderately expanding the degree of local marketization, in order to reduce the negative impact of vertical fiscal asymmetry on the strength of environmental regulation, and to contribute to ecological civilization.
