The degree of utilization of passenger vehicle capacity affects the economic component of public transport operation. This is due to the fact that it depends on the number of passengers transported, as well as on the capacity of the passenger vehicle used for transportation. One of the tasks formulated in the state program of transport development of the Republic of Belarus is to achieve full self-sufficiency of public transport operation. One of the ways to achieve this goal can be maximizing the degree of use of passenger vehicle capacity by ensuring its compliance with the existing parameters of passenger flow. In this paper, based on the values of passenger flows in one of the cities of Belarus, obtained as a result of field observations in 2019 and 2024, we calculate an indicator that assesses the degree of utilization of passenger vehicle capacity, the factors that determine it, and the regularities of its change. Based on such calculations, the feasibility of creating a new public transport management technology based on daily forecasting of passenger traffic and distribution of passenger vehicles of different capacity to the routes taking this into account is shown.

The impact of science and technology today cannot be relegated to the background. There is basically no area of human endeavor that has not been affected directly or indirectly by technology. Advances in scientific research have been able to make life easy for man. Notwithstanding the blessings of technology in the 21st century, there is a wide range observation of the abuses of technology. This paper notes that humanity must not lose sight of the negative effects that may come from the abuse of technology and scientific researches. It is a fact that the problems of techno-scientific inventions and researches cannot be easily resolved; however, a direct confrontation between the discovery and instrumental model of science and technology could be avoided if techno-scientists and users utilize every good technology to the service of the human person. This paper recognizes the implication of techno-scientific progress of the 21st century bearing in mind as stated above, the creation and application of knowledge, with deep consideration of the happenstance between the works of those who make discoveries on one hand and those who use those discoveries, with the moral implications in view. It pays keen attention to the many ways man could harness the technology inherent in the 21st century to preserve rather than destroy life.

Nosocomial infections (NI) or healthcare-associated infections (HAI) are infections not present at the time of admission to a hospital and manifest 48 hours after hospital admission. The specific factors contributing to the risk of infection during hospitalization remain unclear. Nosocomial infections are a growing public health threat that increases patient morbidity and mortality. Nosocomial infections (NIs) could lead to considerably longer length of the hospital stays and higher costs. Besides, the unreasonable use of antibiotics could lead to development resistance to different antibiotics and create limited therapeutic options, increased risks of treatment failure and poor patient management. These infections are a serious public health problem affecting both developed and developing countries. This study aimed to investigate the current status and changing trend of NI in various parts of the world, to provide a reference for the prevention and control of healthcare-associated infections.

This study aimed at obtaining an in-depth understanding of masculinities which act as barriers to performing the direct observable therapy (DOT) on the expected sick role behaviours among men who were diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis in Zambian compounds. The article identifies masculinities that act as gendered barriers to tuberculosis patients. It explores masculine gendered actions situated in an impoverished household. Of concern is considering both the situational aspects of gender and failure to honour the expected sick role behaviours. To do this the article used the Talcott Parson’s sick role theory whereby the behaviours, rights and responsibilities of a patient deviates from societal norms because of their disease or disorder” (DeLaune et al., 2019). Methodologically, a maximum variation sampling design was used to enlist 59 respondents. In-depth interviews were conducted with men anchored on Charmaz’s modified constructivist grounded theory informing the article. The argument in this article is that six categories of masculinities influenced deviant behaviour and accounted for reasons why and how men fail to fulfil the expected tuberculosis sick role behaviour. These categories found were: not being in control of the situation, hyper masculinity, resistance to recommended practices, masculinity stereotype threat, breadwinner and gender identities. A much closer look at the explored six categories of masculinities that effectuate deviant behaviour, the article asserts that gendered interventions are possible to neutralise sick-role behaviour among tuberculosis male patients.

The development of social media, e-commerce platforms, and online advertising technology has opened new opportunities and transformed the way companies interact with consumers. Digital marketing has evolved beyond being merely a promotional tool; it also significantly influences overall purchasing decisions. This research aims to examine the impact of digital marketing content on purchase intention, mediated by the variable of trust. The study's population consists of individuals who have viewed Erigo's marketing content. Using a non-probability sampling method to determine the sample size, 100 respondents were selected. As a quantitative study, primary data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires using Google Forms. The data were analyzed descriptively using SEM PLS software. The research findings indicate that digital marketing content influences trust, trust affects purchase intention, and digital marketing content does not directly impact purchase intention. This signifies that trust, as a mediating variable, plays a crucial role in the relationship between these variables.

This signifies that trust, as a mediating variable, plays a crucial role in the relationship between these variables.","PeriodicalId":517256,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced Multidisciplinary Research and Studies","volume":" 45","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140387995","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Background Osmotic agents like mannitol and hypertonic saline are the mainstay of management of raised intracranial pressure (ICP) along with non-pharmacological measures like head elevation, hyperventilation, and hypothermia and CSF drainage. Several recent studies have shown hypertonic saline relatively superior to mannitol however, both are being used commonly. So, this study was done to compare the efficacy of mannitol and hypertonic saline in management of raised ICP in children. Methods This was a prospective randomized comparative study done among 40 children aged 1-5 years admitted in department of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, BPKIHS, Dharan with clinical signs and symptoms of raised ICP They were divided into two groups based on consecutive sampling with group 1 receiving 20% mannitol and group 2 receiving 3% hypertonic saline. Results Both the groups were comparable for age distribution, gender and baseline characteristics. Pretreatment mean MAP was higher in group 2 as compared to group 1 while decrease in MAP was present in both groups at 24, 36-, 48-, 56- and 60-hours post-treatment; however, this was not statistically significant. 78.9% cases improved with mannitol while 90.5% improved with 3% hypertonic saline but this was not statistically significant. Conclusion Hypertonic saline can be an equally effective agent for management of raised ICP in children but larger and multi-centric study may help in determining which one is better.
