The increasing burden of dermatophytosis has been observed all over the world. The vast numbers of hidden and undiagnosed cases remain untreated and these patients act as reservoirs and reinfect their surroundings, contributing to communal infection, a significant threat to the community. This randomized clinical trial was conducted to compare efficacy & safety between Itraconazole and Terbinafine in the treatment of cutaneous dermatophytosis, in the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics at Rajshahi Medical College, Rajshahi in collaboration with department of Dermatology & Venereology at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, Rajshahi and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), Dhaka, Bangladesh from July 2021 to June 2022. The study was conducted after obtaining ethical clearance from the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of Rajshahi Medical College and consent from the patients. Based on predefined eligibility criteria, a total number of 180 patients with dermatophytosis were included in the study. The study population was divided into two groups (Group-A and Group-B) on the basis of drug allocation. In Group-A, 90 patients were treated with Itraconazole at a dose of 5 mg/kg/day (study group) and in Group-B 90 patients were treated with Terbinafine at a dose of 3–6 mg/kg/day (control group) for 6 weeks. Erythema, scaling and pruritus were measured initially at baseline and again at the end of the 3rd and 6th week of drug administration. The overall reduction of mean erythema, scaling and pruritus from baseline to the 2nd follow-up of drug administration was more in Itraconazole group than Terbinafine group and it was statistically significant (p < 0.001, p=0.003 and p=0.001, respectively). The cure rate was 62.20% in Itraconazole group and 28.90% in Terbinafine group. Two weeks after cure, the relapse rates were 8.93% and 30.77%, respectively in the Itraconazole and Terbinafine groups. The findings of the study showed that Itraconazole is a better antifungal drug in comparison to Terbinafine (p < 0.05).

Buddhism, originating from the teachings of the Buddha, is a widely practiced religion with a rich history spanning over 2,500 years. Its propagation was facilitated by Indian monks who disseminated its principles across various regions. In Vietnam, Buddhism was introduced as early as the first century CE through diverse modes of transportation including waterways and overland routes. Throughout the vicissitudes of history, Buddhism has established deep-rooted connections with Vietnamese religious culture, reflecting shared values and beliefs. Even in contemporary society, Buddhism continues to hold significance for both adherents and non-adherents in Vietnam, serving as a viable avenue for moral education and spiritual fulfillment. Religious tourism in Vietnam often centers around pagodas, which serve as centers for Buddhist practice, education, and cultural preservation. These sacred sites not only provide a venue for spiritual development but also serve as repositories of intangible cultural heritage. In this context, temple visits, which involve paying homage to Buddha and engaging in spiritual contemplation, represent a form of spiritual tourism that resonates deeply with Vietnamese cultural identity.

The successful implementation of the Village Justice System (Katarungang Pambarangay) relies on the effectiveness, efficiency, creativity, and resourcefulness of Village Justice Committees. With the enactment of the Local Government Code of 1991 (RA 7160), the authority to resolve community disputes was decentralized to the 42,025 villages nationwide. This study aimed to review and analyzed the implementation and performance of the Village Justice System in selected best perfoming villages of Southern Leyte Province. Specifically, it assessed the degree of law implementation, performance profile, significant relationships between variables, and the severity of problems. Employing both descriptive and inferential methods, the researcher selected top five best performing Village Justice Committees out of 500 in Southern Leyte, based on rankings provided by the DILG-Southern Leyte Provincial Office. The findings reveal excellent performance among the selected Village Justice Committees, demonstrated by high compliance with settlement procedures and deadlines, regular meetings, and quality case settlements. The study suggests a correlation between case settlement quality and committee performance in terms of adherence to procedures and meeting frequency. This exemplary performance is credited to the creative and resourceful approaches of committee members, utilizing best practices, innovative mediation techniques, robust communication strategies, and support system. However, there were problems due to lack of monetary remuneration and non-monetary incentive support as well as other administrative assistance given by Municipal/City Local Government Units (LGUs), National Government Agencies (NGAs), Non-Government Organizations (NGOs)/ Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and the Private Sector. A Development Action Plan is formulated to solve the problems.

Many factors are attributable to the academic achievements of students among which Teachers’ variable is a major attribute. The limitations of the teacher as a supporting agent in the area of Basic Science hinder academic achievement of students in learning of Basic Sciences. The quality of instructions from the teacher at all levels of education determines the acquisition of competencies necessary for self-reliance and effective service delivery. The teacher’s attitude to work, knowledge of subject matter and instructional competence have a relationship with students’ academic achievements. The poor quality of students’ academic quality among community health students’ in Basic Sciences in CrossRiver State may be as a result of these variables. This study therefore examined Teachers’ variable and academic achievement of community health students’ in Basic Sciences in Cross River State. To achieve the purpose of this study, four (4) specific objectives were raised to guide the study, which were then converted to four (4) research questions and transformed to research hypotheses. Related literatures we reviewed in line with the variables of the study. The study adopted correlational research design, which is a non-experimental approach between a set of variables and naturally cannot be manipulated. The research area is Cross River State, Nigeria. The target population of study was year 1 Community Health students. Sample of study was415 students randomly selected from ten schools for the 2023/2024 academic session. The instrument employed was questionnaire designed by the researcher. Cronbach Alpha reliability method was used to determine the reliability estimate of the instrument which range from 0.73 to 0.81. Data was analysed using Multiple Linear regression. The findings of the study revealed that all teachers’ variables had significant positive relationship with students’ academic performance in Basic Sciences in Cross River State. It was recommended among others that teachers should adopt positive attitude towards their teaching profession especially in secondary schools.

The study, titled Lost in the Feed: Exploring the Lived Experiences of Students on Doomscrolling, aims to provide insights on the effects of doom scrolling in students and their behavior towards this phenomenon. Furthermore, it aimed to provide insight into the relationship between doom scrolling and the elements uncovered during the researchers' interview. The exploratory research design is being employed in this investigation. For qualitative research, use the lived experience approach, and for quantitative research, employ the descriptive method. The qualitative phase involved ten (10) interviewers, while the quantitative phase included one hundred twenty (120) responses. The respondents were chosen using Purposive Sampling, a non-probability sampling method. The results of the factors studied revealed that the selected learners at Noveleta Senior High School are affected by doom scrolling and have a high level of doing so. On the contrary, respondents engage in a high level of doom scrolling. Using the Spearman r-correlation, the researcher discovered a significant relationship on Doomscrolling with Time Management (r = 0.816, p < .001), Procrastination, (r = 0.889, p < .001), Social Media (r = 0.832, p = < .001), Mental Health and Doomscrolling (r = 0.729, p < .001). The results indicate that by doing doom scrolling it affects their behavior to their daily task and their well-being.

Orthopera are a group of well-known insects that are found in different ecosystems. They damage cultivations and they are important bioindicators for the enviroments. The object of this work is studying taxonomy of Orthopera Order in some stations of Vlore area (Albania). The material is collected during 2022-2023. In this work we refer 5 families, 23 genders and 27 species. By systematic analyzes results that the most represented family is Acrididae with 15 species or with a frequency of 55.55%. The least represented families are Tetrigidae dhe Mogoplistidae with 1 specie or with a frequence of 3.7 %. This shows that the stations ecosystems where is collected the biological material for Acididae family offer suitable conditions. Lepenica station habitats displayed a bigger diversity compared with other stations, with 16 species or a frequence of 59.25%, while Dukat station fewer species with 6 species 22.22% frequency. This shows that the habitats in Lepenica station offer favorable conditions for the species of Orthoptera Order.

The COVID-19 epidemic has had a substantial impact on Nigeria's micro, small, and medium-sized companies (MSMEs), disrupting economic activities. The combination of limited travel, the necessity to maintain physical distance, and varying degrees of community lockdown and quarantine has resulted in economic stagnation for these firms. This qualitative study looked at how rural entrepreneurs deal with the epidemic while going about their everyday business. Data demonstrate that rural entrepreneurs are anxious about their health and financial situation. Spirituality and inventive marketing methods were used to ameliorate the pandemic's negative consequences. Rural entrepreneurs resorted to survival attempts despite the government's cash aid and food relief packages. This paper improves government interventions by suggesting new remedies and laws. It also seeks to increase access to government relief programmes for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), particularly those that are informal and unregistered. The report also recommends the implementation of information technology (IT) solutions.

The report also recommends the implementation of information technology (IT) solutions.","PeriodicalId":517256,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced Multidisciplinary Research and Studies","volume":"101 31","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141126195","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The work addresses development of a sampling chart for long-term strength and durability characterization of aged stacked sandcrete blocks produced from sea sand, which appears to have significant gaps in literature. Buildings constructed with sea sand blocks in the region experienced serviceability complications with massive deterioration and degradation of strength in blockwalls that appears in powder form with associated cracks and exhibits failure modes in the buildings due to high salinity. Sangana located within latitude 4.3839° North; longitude 5.9938° East and Amassoma latitude 4.9731° North; longitude 6.1090° East in the Niger Delta area of Nigeria. A total of 288 samples, including 144 each of stacked River Sand and Sea Sand blocks of ages 10 and 6 years respectfully were investigated. The stacked blocks for River Sand and Sea Sand shows a strength loss of 44.13% and 62.97% respectfully, due to exposure direction to driving rain and North-East trade winds. These conclusions open a wider scope and opportunities for research into sea sand masonry units and walls.
