espanolLa accesibilidad web es aquella caracteristica que permite que cualquier persona sin importar sus condiciones pueda acceder a los contenidos de los sitios web. El uso de validadores automaticos permite realizar un primer analisis acerca del nivel de accesibilidad de un sitio web. Sin embargo, la seleccion de estas herramientas tiende a no ser trivial, debido a las diferencias tecnicas que presenta cada validador. El objetivo de este trabajo fue realizar un analisis comparativo entre validadores automaticos de accesibilidad, buscando establecer criterios de seleccion a la hora de elegir un validador para realizar una evaluacion de accesibilidad. Se propuso una metodologia basada en tres etapas que permitieron seleccionar 14 validadores que fueron analizados bajo diferentes criterios. Ademas, permitio concluir que ninguno de los validadores analizados cumple con todas las caracteristicas, por lo que no seria suficiente seleccionar solo uno para realizar un proceso de evaluacion de accesibilidad. Por lo tanto, este proceso metodologico se constituye como una herramienta de gran utilidad para la seleccion de validadores de accesibilidad. espanolLa Phytolacca americana es una especie de planta de la familia Phytolaccaceae nativa del Norte de America utilizada como tratamiento autoctono en enfermedades comunes y controversiales como el cancer, debido a sus propiedades analgesicas, antiinflamatorias y antimicoticas. El objeto de este estudio fue caracterizar a nivel fitoquimico los compuestos presentes en las hojas de esta planta y determinar su potencial antifungico. Para ello, se evaluaron tres condiciones de secado: temperatura ambiente (12 ± 2 °C), 22 °C y 40 °C; tecnica de infrarrojo con trasformada de Fourier (FTIR) y espectrofotometria UV/VIS donde se evidencio que las condiciones de secado no influyeron en la estabilidad de los grupos biosinteticos. Ademas, se identificaron metabolitos secundarios mediante screening fitoquimico como flavonoides, saponinas, cumarinas y taninos en extractos etanolicos que se analizaron mediante cromatografia de gases acoplada a espectrometria de masas con bombardeo electronico, en donde se reconocieron acidos esenciales con fines comerciales como el acido oleico. Finalmente, se evaluo el potencial antifungico de los extractos etanolicos con concentraciones de 60 a 300 mg/mL, en cuatro tipos de cepas: F. solani, A. brasiliensis, S. kudriavzevii y C. albicans, los resultados mostraron mayores diametros de inhibicion de 18 y 19 mm contra las cepas F. solani y C. albicans, respectivamente. P. americana is used as a folk medicine to treat inflammation, fungal infections, rashes and breast problems; moreover, recent publications support possible anticancer properties. The purpose of this study was to characterize and compare the phytochemical constituents of the leaves of P. americana, and determine their antifungal potential. For this, three temperatures were evaluated to dry the leaves: ambient temperature (12 ± 2 °C), 22 °C and 40 °C, then extracts of the leaves were obtained by ethanol extraction. FTIR and UV/VIS spectroscopy analysis of the extracts shows that the drying temperatures do not affect the stability of the biosynthetic groups. Main secondary metabolites such as flavonoids, saponins, coumarins and tannins were determined by phytochemical screening. Furthermore, extracts were analyzed by means of gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (GC-MS), essential acids such as octadecanoic and some alcohols were identified. Finally, the antifungal potential of ethanolic extracts with concentrations of 60 to 300 mg/mL was evaluated in four types of strains: F. solani, A. brasiliensis, S. kudriavzevii and C. albicans. Results shows inhibition diameters of 18 and 19 mm for F. solani and C. albicans strains respectively.

Posteriormente, se usaron las redes neuronales entrenadas para proponer dosificaciones optimas de los productos y mejorar las condiciones de operacion, lo que permitio obtener aguas residuales clarificadas, para lo cual se elaboraron cartas de optimizacion. Respecto a la evaluacion del desempeno del modelo neuronal, se uso como indicador de desempeno el factor de correlacion lineal R. Los resultados de correlacion entre los valores estimados y reales de la turbidez de salida muestran la confiabilidad en la aplicacion como herramienta de prediccion EnglishThe growth of the poultry industry in Colombia, and the change in current environmental regulations, leads to an improvement in the wastewater treatment system, through alternate techniques between coagulants and flocculants. The cost of these techniques require optimal dosing of the main products involved therein. In this work, we used an artificial neural model based on feedforward-backpropagation multilayer neural networks, to estimate the value of output turbidity in the treatment of wastewater. The trained neural networks subsequently used to propose optimal dosages of the products and improve the operating conditions that allow obtaining clarified wastewater, so we develop optimization charts. We used the R linear correlation factor as a performance indicator, for the evaluation of the performance of the neural model. The correlation results between the estimated a real values of the output turbidity show its reliability in the application as a prediction tool.

The article presents a bibliographic review on alternatives of low environmental impact for the recycling of expanded polystyrene worldwide, based on the use of natural resources and the environmental impacts associated with them. The environmental impact of each technique was determined through the construction of an Excel matrix where the frequency of use of: (I) primary, secondary or tertiary techniques, (II) natural resources used and (III) environmental compartments affected. Primary sources that address the issue of expanded polystyrene treatment worldwide were consulted. It was found that the best techniques for the recycling of polystyrene are primary and tertiary specifically manual crushing and use of green solvents such as d-limonene and p-cymene, to leave the secondary and tertiary treatments in last positions, agglutination and generation methods of energy respectively.

Braking systems are undoubtedly the most important component for road safety, since it determines the total or partial stop of a vehicle and, therefore, guarantees the physical integrity of passengers. Normally, the front brake discs and the remaining percentage absorb 70% of the kinetic energy produced within a vehicle by the rear brake discs, which tend to have the formof a drum brake. These systems benefit from friction to stop a moving vehicle, under the umbrella of hydraulic pressure that pushes the brake pads against the iron-cast disk. In this document, concepts of famous authors around the world on analysis and evaluation of brake discs are provided, which are carried out using a descriptive methodology and an estimation of the characteristics of the brake disc. The review is carried out in computer assisted design through several existing CAD software in the industry, as the main methodology applied to the development of certain research projects, where different geometric characteristics of the brake discs are considered, as well as problems related to wear and corrosion. This research project has shown that it is vital to incorporate existing computer assisted design software to predict performance, improve components and optimize the functionality of the brake system. In this way, road traffic safety and systems efficiency are achieved, which are a matter of great importance for the industry. It is vital to analyze brake systems through Finite Element Analysis (FEA), with the intention of achieving a broader vision of its performance, since the information collected reveals that the geometric characteristics of the brake and cooling ducts influence the heat dissipation. It depends on the form, the type of material and the application, the heat generated between the pad and the brake. Therefore, the heat is dissipated rapidly according to the analysis performed mathematically by the researchers, which are compared with the made in computer assisted design software.

Normally, the front brake discs and the remaining percentage absorb 70% of the kinetic energy produced within a vehicle by the rear brake discs, which tend to have the formof a drum brake. These systems benefit from friction to stop a moving vehicle, under the umbrella of hydraulic pressure that pushes the brake pads against the iron-cast disk.
