This study analyzed aspects of assessing Arabic receptive and productive skills in eleventh-grade Arabic books issued by the Ministry of religious affairs in 2020. The method used in the scientific study is a qualitative approach with the literature review method with research techniques in the library for data collection. The primary data source selected in this scientific study is an Arabic book, chapter eleven, published by the Ministry of religious affairs in 2020. The analysis results show that the ability to understand the book is assessed from a cognitive perspective, while productive skills are evaluated from a skills perspective. However, the book needs to explain assessment in the affective aspect, and the assessment is still traditional. Cognitive aspects still dominate the assessment of most receptive skills, while psychomotor aspects dominate assessments of productive skills. Therefore it is necessary to develop a form of assessment of receptive language skills in this book.

When viewed from its variety, Arabic can be divided into two forms: standard variety Arabic (fushah) and non-standard variety Arabic (amiyah). In Arabic, the sounds of vowels and consonants can change according to the speakers, such as the Egyptian speakers 'amiyah, who could not pronounce Arabic fusha perfectly, and vice versa. This led to the appearance of sound changes between the two varieties of language. This study aims to analyze the forms of sound changes 'amiyah Egyptian dialect (BADM) and Arabic fushah (BAF). In this research, researchers will analyze using Crowley's theory of sound change. The data in this study is in the form of lyrics of 5 songs by Nancy Ajram, Lebanese nationality, but his work dialect Egypt. The results showed that BADM and BAF have differences in pronunciation that cause the appearance of sound changes. The types of sound changes that occur following Crowley's theory are (1) lenition and fortition, (2) tough loss, (3) good addition, (4) metathesis, (5) assimilation, and (6) tone changes.

This study investigates the difficulties in teaching nahwu using the blended learning method in the Arabic Language and Literature Study Program (BSA), Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universitas Ahmad Dahlan, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The primary data was collected by interviewing six BSA lecturers and four BSA students in the first semester of the academic year of 2021/2022. The interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA) was utilized to analyze the data. The data analysis resulted in the following findings. It can be determined that the implementation of blended learning in the Arabic Language and Literature Study Program of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan used a two-class method, with online and offline classes. Students in online nahwu classes endured several difficulties, including unstable internet connections, non-interactive teaching methods, and lecturers’ inability to control all their students’ conditions. Meanwhile, students in offline nahwu classes underwent difficulties such as limited study time during class. The lecturers also experienced a similar difficulty when teaching students new to the Arabic language, as learning the principles of nahwu required a lengthy time. In addition, the lecturers felt uneasy when explaining the learning materials while wearing masks.

This paper aims to identify the types of pauses and slips of the tongue that occur in students of PBA IAIN Ponorogo in the Munaqosyah exam and reveal the causal factors. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods. Data collection techniques include documentation, observation, and data analysis using the theory of MacGregor and Barfield et al. The study results show that the types of pauses in students of PBA IAIN Ponorogo in the thesis Munaqosyah include: silent silence, filled silence, repetition, correction, and a false start. In addition, the factors that cause the pauses are the processing load, gender, unfamiliarity conversation partners, coordination function, and effects of these variables upon disfluencies. Meanwhile, slips of the tongue that occur include semantic error and transposition. With this study, it is hoped that students can prepare the material and substance of the thesis well so that in the Munaqosyah exam, they can answer fluently and avoid silence and a slip of the tongue.

This research is important to discuss based on the phenomenon of teungku dayah errors in reading religious texts in Aceh. This study aims to determine the relevance between mastery of Nahwu and Sharf with the ability to read religious texts owned by tengku dayah and examine the causal factors from the perspective of Nahwu and Sharf. Dayah Darussalam, Labuhan Haji, South Aceh District, was chosen as the research location because it is one of the oldest in Aceh. This study uses field research methods with a qualitative approach. The data were obtained from in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation of the curriculum applied at the dayah. All the data obtained were analyzed descriptively and qualitatively. The study results show that learning Nahwu and Sharf in the Acehnese dayah is generally carried out in two types of learning programs: regular and extracurricular. Teungku Dayah's ability to read religious texts in Aceh could be much higher. This is indicated by the many mistakes they made when reading religious texts, both in terms of Nahwu and Sharf. Among the contributing factors is the absence of a dayah curriculum related to active Arabic practice and tahsin al-Qur'an.

This study aims to improve the writing skills of first graders at Madrasah Diniyah Ula Baramij At-Ta'lim Wa At-Ta'lim (MD.BAW) which consists of five classes with a total sample of 104 students by applying the Kumon model to reduce errors in writing pronouncements ', for example, letter writing errors, punctuation rules (tanwin), use of mad letters, connecting letters, and shifting letter sounds which have an impact on changing the meaning of a sentence. This type of research uses Classroom Action Research through four cycles with four stages proposed by Kurt Lewin: planning, action, observation, and reflection. While the data collection techniques were carried out using observation, interviews, pre-test, Kumon worksheets, observation instruments, field notes, and documentation. Qualitative data analysis uses the model put forward by Miles and Huberman namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. As for the quantitative data using the Anas Sudijono percentage instrument by calculating the percentage frequency and the amount. The results of this study indicate that improving writing skills using the Kumon model was successfully carried out through four cycles by always providing motivation, observing, guiding, and providing intensive training in each cycle so that students can write more independently, thoroughly, and in an orderly manner according to the rules of Imla'.

The research aimed to make learning the Arabic language in Indonesian Foreign Schools more effective, efficient and enjoyable, as well as to produce Indonesian diaspora students who possess a strong sense of nationalism and respect for diversity by developing teaching material models that are based on multicultural-based character education values. The research was designed using a research and development model and was conducted in two stages: (1) identifying the needs of students and teachers for Arabic teaching materials that contain multicultural-based character education values; (2) creating a model of Arabic teaching materials that incorporate the values of multicultural-based character education in Indonesian Foreign Schools. The study found a need to develop Arabic teaching materials in Indonesian Foreign Schools, particularly in Arab countries. The development of teaching materials is necessary for two aspects: (1) related to Arabic teaching materials that are based on the values of national character education, in line with learning objectives, and contextually relevant to the present time; (2) in terms of character education, by creating teaching materials that contain character education values such as religious values, nationalism, honesty, independence, cooperation, integrity, hard work, and responsibility.
