The article presents the use of fast cameras and image processing and analysis methods to determine the velocity of pneumatic transport of bulk material. The presented solution is dedicated to the analysis of dense flow in the form of slugs moving in a horizontal section of the pipeline. The developed image-processing algorithm is based on the estimation of the bulk solid material level in the pipeline in particular moments of the process. The acquisition of an image containing the area of two separate sections of the pipeline allows to determine the shift-time of material between two pre-defined pipeline regions. The obtained results indicate the proper action of the developed system.

Analysis of modern interstate conflicts, trends in the development of forms of warfare. It is shown that confrontation is characterized by various forms, is hidden in nature and is carried out mainly in the political, economic, informational and other spheres. It is proved that a significant part of hybrid wars are information operations used for the destructive impact on society, commercial activities, politics and economics using information and communication space and technologies. The article expresses the need to create a theoretical basis for combating cyber attacks in special telecommunication systems as an integral part of the national security of the state. The development of methods for hiding information as well as providing information during video streaming and images in networks is underway. The basic calculations are given at the initial stages of information hiding and methods for ensuring the latent transfer of data in telecommunication systems.

Mathematical model of the process of water softening using ion exchange pre-treatment of waters to desalination, with a view to removal of scale forming components, such as calcium and magnesium, are formed in the paper. In this process, no additional chemicals, except for brines formed during desalination, are required for regeneration of ion-exchanger in operation cycles. An asymptotic approximation of a solution of a corresponding model problem is constructed. Theoretical description and modelling assumptions included the set of differential equations of mass balance, initial, boundary and operational conditions. The paper deals with the development of a computer model for description and prediction of the performance of ion exchange columns.

A numerical method of quasiconformal mappings for solving the coefficient problems of finding eigenvalues of the conductivity tensor having information about its directions in an anisotropic medium using applied quasipotential tomographic data is generalized. The corresponding algorithm is based on the alternate solving of problems on quasiconformal mappings and parameter identification. The results of numerical experiments of imitative restoration of environment structure are presented.

We discuss a numerical model (macro/micro/nanoscopic) to enable more accurate analysis of electro-hydro-dynamic (EMHD) processes in water at the level of atoms. Dedicated experiments have shown that inserting a relatively homogeneous periodic structure (deionized, degassed, or distilled H2O) in a magnetic field will influence the atomic basis, molecules, and relevant bonds. In this context, the present paper focuses on the designing, analysis, and evaluation of the behavior of an extensive system that represents H2O from the microscopic perspective, and it also outlines the properties and changes of the bonds in the examined water samples. Complementarily, a simple example is used to define the results obtained from analyses of the generated spiral static gradient magnetic and non-stationary gradient electromagnetic fields from the frequency range of f = 1 GHz to 10 GHz.

In the past few years, we have seen a rapid expansion in the field of mobile computing due to the proliferation of inexpensive, widely available wireless devices. However, current devices, applications and protocols are solely focused on cellular or wireless local area networks (WLANs), not taking into account the great potential offered by ad hoc networking. Ad hoc networks are wireless mobile networks that can operate without infrastructure and without centralized network management. In such networks, the wireless mobile nodes may dynamically enter the network as well as leave the network. Mobility and dynamic topology are the main characteristics of ad hoc networks. In the last years, the hundreds of new routing protocols were designed, that are used for the various scenarios of this design space. The routing features in wireless ad hoc networks are described. The corresponding routing protocols are reviewed. The paper proposes a method for selecting the preferred protocol wireless networks using the mathematical tools of neural networks.

A method has been developed for increasing the specific rate of frequency modulation signals with a continuous phase based on the use of the properties of composite Walsh-Barker sequences. The proposed method is applicable for multi-position signals. Simultaneously, the tasks of synchronization and registration of processing results are solved. The increase in the efficiency of digital signal transmission systems is theoretically justified.
