This paper aims to analyse central aspects to think the present and to identify a design that detached itself from its historical basis, and have emancipated in numerous heterogeneous practices. Considering the liquid and deconstructedbarriers of a curious historical formation, that reconfigures itself through new technologies, we propose ways to configure a epistemology capable of handling the practices of a contemporary design and, at last, to understand the potentialities of a nomad design, deterritorialized and that updates itself through bits of information.

This article proposes to analyze scenes of childbirth broadcasted by Brazilian soap operas broadcasted along four decades, carefully selected, aiming to identify the gender relations there inscribed, explicit or vailed. Therefore, we have opted by two complementary methods, the Content Analysis and the Analysis of Moving Images. For the discussion, we have considered especially authors belonged to the fields of Gender Studies and Social Communication centered on teledramaturgy, as well as the ones who study the childbirth as a social event and its fictional representation. As a result, we have identified three central axes, when converged, imprison the parturient and convert her into a biologically needed body, without her right/power to give birth. The lack of problematization regarding gender inequality in fictional childbirth, symptomatically, contributes for its naturalization.

To understand the digital humanities in depth, its applicability must be observed. An example of an initiative that brings together concepts from the digital humanities is the Village of Xisto, developed in Portugal to attract people to the forgotten villages of Portugal. These villages, which are characterized by a stone construction, lived a reality of low demographic density, despite their rich cultural features and an immeasurable tourist potential. This article relates the experience of the rural initiative Associacao Aldeias do Xisto, which has adopted digital hypermedia strategies to spread natural resources and regional endogenous potentials from its digital platform, transforming them into attractive tourist sites and bringing together not only tourists, but also Portuguese, to important cultural roots of Portugal. Therefore, an investigation has been developed that includes a case study composed of a structured interview of open responsesand a quantitative analysis of the platform. It was found that Aldeias do Xisto has supported a cultural and social encounter in the region, breaking the boundaries between the Portuguese past and present, towards a future with possiblepositive social, cultural and environmental impacts.

It´s the intention of this article provide conceptual tools that serve at the time of fieldwork as heuristic tools. We propose these readings as a possible way, knowing that it’s not the only one neither the best. It’s only in the context that we can know if these concepts are useful to us and if they contribute to interpreting improvements about these realities that interest and appeal us. Conscious that these contributions are part of an intensive and general debate in the sands of the social sciences in which the concept of identity, like that of culture, search to be taken in consideration, we don’t intend to exhaust this debate or to make a review of it. We pretend only to make a contribution from certain readings that seem relevant and a little visibility in the field communication field.

The objective of the following work is the linguistic analysis of a medical leaflet of female oral contraceptives. This exercise is linked to my PhD research, focused on the medicalization with contraceptive pills and the discourses about it, by users and professionals or health agencies. In this opportunity, using tools of the critical discourse analysis and linguistic pragmatics, I try to reconstruct those features that allow us to affirm that this type of text is not a neutral communicative production, nor does it belong only to the instructional-expository typology. On the contrary, like any discourse, it depends on and responds to certain contexts (intertextual and situational) and must also be studied in that relationship. To do this, I start from a succinct analysis of the typographical, lexical and syntactic-grammatical planes of a concrete prospect (Microgynon) to point out how receivers are profiled in it, and also exhortations, responsibilities vs. decision-making capacities, and risk. Finally, I conclude that the decision-making capacity (regarding the taking of the medication) is assigned to the medical professional, to the detriment of the autonomy of the women, who instead bear the responsibility for the incorrect use of the drug.
