Al-Ghazâlî views the connection between what is believed to be natural cause and effect is not necessary. For him, God is the Agent in every event. He is the determining factor. As a result, a natural event cannot be seen with certainty, in other words it is probabilistic. On the other hand, quantum physics developed in the early 20 th century, which tries to explain the microscopic world is only able to predict events probabilistically. So it can be said that quantum physics that emerged at the beginning of the 20 th century supports and affirms the views of al-Ghazâlî formulated in the 11 th century at least in terms of probability. In addition, the many strange and complicated things that have not been well explained in the atomic world should be an indication that a more in-depth and thorough study of the universe leads to an increasingly “visible” Entity that is Almighty, namely God—where He has made nature as the âyât (signs) of His existence. Furthermore, from this study of al-Ghazâlî’s concept of causality and quantum physics, it can be understood that there are differences that become the end of the problem, namely metaphysical beliefs. So that an important effort

As one of the oldest islamic educational institutions in Indonesia, Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor (PMDG) continues to enhance in order to improve the education management process, both at the secondary and higher education levels. In this regard, PMDG continues to boost and encourage the maximization of digital technology in the development of management information systems for educational purposes. In an effort to take advantages of technological developments to improve education management, PMDG has made same policies, including maximizing digital facilities for monthly fees and registration fees for new students (digital payments). In the university environment, Darussalam University (UNIDA) Gontor has also used hybrid learning methods during the recent pandemic; online and offline (face to face) simultaneously. Not only in the campus area, PMDG also continues to expand for spreading its educational values through its media networks such as websites, printed media, online media and social media; Instagram and Youtube. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive-analytical literature study method. At the end of the discussion, this study tries to explain how information technology systems play an important role in helping various programs to maximize learning process in the environment of PMDG.

Research on the correction of the theory of learning behaviorism perspective of Islamic education aims to reveal and explain the weaknesses of the approach of learning behaviorism introduced and practiced by the figures of the psychological school of behaviorism such as; Edwart L. Thorndike (1874-1949), Ivan Pavlov (1849-1936) and B. F Skinner (1904-1990). It is primarily related to the concept of learning, the nature of learners, and the motivation of learning that many educational practices conventional western. It then provides a more precise and comprehensive vision related to learning, the nature of human or learner potential, and learning motivation in Islamic tradition. This research method uses a qualitative method with an analytical description approach. It aims to explain and describe the problems studied authentically, alternatively, thematically, and scientifically. It then analyzes the research object that gives birth to conclusions. The results of this study show that Islamic education found the weaknesses of behaviorist theory which equated human psychology with animals, equating cognitive and emotional human beings with animals. And the view is that learning motivation is only from outside the human self, so it always requires a stimulus and response in learning.

This study will reveal how Ibn Khaldun’s philosophy of history, especially on his historical criticism and the concept of causality. This research is based on literature and qualitative research that uses a philosophical approach to explain the meaning of philosophy of history. As there is theoretical speculation in the writing of history, there are some inaccuracies in historical reports arises from the errors of historians. Ibn Khaldun shows those errors as a historical criticism that historians should avoid them. Ibn Khaldun’s main method of history is observing nature and society’s laws that control historical events, beside ta’dil and tajrih methods. According to him, the study of history is to explain the things behind an event, not restricted on the question about when what, and how an event occurred, but also explain about why the possibility exists. This method leads to the knowledge of causality. Ibn Khaldun argued that there was no event caused by accident. An event occurred because it was caused by a cause that preceded it. There are four causes make the nature of civilization: ‘umrân as material cause, daulah as formal cause, ‘ashabiyah as efficient cause, and mash âlih ‘â mmah as final cause. Therefore, if any historical information deviates from these laws of causality, then critical reasoning is necessary to assess the validity of the historical facts.

This study examines the influence of study tawhid on the dimension of religious of santri in Langsa City. The research questions include; was there a correlation between study of tawhid carried out at the Islamic boarding schools and the dimension of religious of the santri in Langsa City. The population in this study were Islamic boarding schools in Langsa City, totalling 20 Islamic boarding schools; two Islamic boarding schools with different educational models were taken as samples, Futuhul Mua’rif represented salafiyah (N=85), and Raudhatun Najah represented integrated Islamic boarding schools (N=40) with the number of participants 125 people. The researcher applied a mixed-method, which combined quantitative and qualitative approaches. Pearson product-moment was used to measure the validity of quantitative data and analytical descriptive was involved to analyze the qualitative data. Results showed that the correlation values between the students’ study of tawhid value and their dimension of religious at the Salafiah Islamic boarding school were; ideological 0,980, ritualistic 0,971, experiential 0,975, intellectuality 0,979, and consequential 0,926. All of the values were higher than r table, which was 0,278. This indicated that there was a significant correlation between the dimension of religious and the study of tawhid . While, results of student’s values at the integrated Islamic boarding school were ideological 0,941, ritualistic 0,951, experiential 0,944, intellectual 0,943, and consequential 0,910. The values were higher than r table, which was 0,403. This indicated that there was a significant correlation. The value of religiosity Sig (2-tailed ) of Salafiyah and integrated boarding schools was 0,000 (p<0,01) thus the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. This showed that there were significant correlations between the two variables.

The remarkable growth of financial technology wreaks significant impact to the liquidity of Islamic financial industry. Cash waqf now is perceived as the right instrument to ameliorate the issue of liquidity amid modest effort of financial industry in Indonesia. Cash waqf using P2P (Peer to Peer) platform model now is becoming the untapped potential of business beside social responsibility. However, there are some issues as cash waqf integrated with P2P platform that might lead to another phenomenon of shariah compliance in financial technology. In view of this backdrop, this paper aims to unveil the issue of shariah compliance in contract that used to disburse cash waqf funds using P2P platform model. Second, this paper also deciphers some legal issues that might occur that contrary to the existing law. The paper finds that since the existing regulation including Fatwa considered as general, there is possibility that the practice of P2P shariah deviate from Shariah tenet and wreak some legal issues. In the event of default payment, late charges and early settlement not clearly regulated and no standard. This paper also finds that no such governance standard, risk management, shariah compliance and code of ethics oThe contract inherent in this platform model shall be in line with the tenet of Shariah principles and not only comply with existing regulation. This paper implies that more cash waqf will be generated through this platform model as it is easier and more practical. In addition, financial industry will adhere strictly to shariah compliance aspect as their concern.

The aim of this research is to describe the implementation of social solidarity from the theological understanding of surah al-Mâ’ûn by the residents of Muhammadiyah in Malaysia during the covid-19 pandemic. This research model is a case study on the generosity behaviour of migrant workers or better known as the Indonesian Migrant Workers (TKI) Muhammadiyah in Malaysia. This research method uses a qualitative approach. The data collection technique is done by online observation, interviews and documentation. This study applies an interactive analysis through data collection, data reduction, presentation and conclusion drawing. The purpose of this study is to determine the form of social activities carried out by Muhammadiyah citizens in Malaysia who on the other hand are migrant workers in response to the global covid-19 pandemic. The results of this study can be concluded that the implementation of the value of social solidarity in the Muhammadiyah community in Malaysia, especially for migrant workers, shows that citizen philanthropy indirectly creates a cooperative activity, an activity of mutual help and willingness to sacrifice for others. It is clear how some of the residents participate in an unconditional way in trying to help other residents who do not have basic needs due to the strict social distancing run by the Malaysian Royal Government.
