Study on the Fatigue of a Spherical Bearing Under Different Loading Conditions Considering Rotation Effect 考虑旋转效应的不同载荷条件下球面轴承疲劳研究

In order to study the fatigue life of a large spherical bearing under actual working conditions, the finite element software ABAQUS was firstly used to establish the spherical bearing model and simulate the mechanical properties of the bearing at different rotation angles under four working conditions of pressure, tension, pressure shear, and tension shear. And the stress characteristics under the corresponding working conditions were obtained. On this basis, the stress results were imported into the fatigue analysis software, and the fatigue life of each component of the spherical bearing was calculated under the four working conditions. The results show that: the rotation angle of the upper bearing plate has obvious influence on the maximum stress of the bearing under various working conditions. The maximum stress is 554.5 MPa and locates in the wedge-shaped region of the lower bearing plate under the working condition of the joint action of tension and X-direction shear force, and when the rotation angle of the upper bearing plate is 1°. In other working conditions, the maximum stress of the bearing mostly occurs in the wedge-shaped position of the upper and lower bearing plates. The influence of the rotation angle of the upper bearing plate on the minimum fatigue life of the bearing shows the same trend as the influence on the maximum stress. The minimum fatigue life is 13,000 times and locates in the wedge-shaped region of the lower bearing plate under the working condition of the joint action of tension and X-direction shear force, and when the rotation angle of the upper bearing plate is 1°. In other working conditions, the lowest fatigue life of the bearing is also mostly found in the wedge-shaped area of the upper and lower bearing plates. So, the wedge-shaped area should be strengthened in the design.

Kinematic analysis of the cyclo-variator transmission mechanism 循环变速器传动机构的运动学分析

In this paper, it was made a kinematic analysis of a driver link mechanism for multiple disks variator. The study is based on analysis of the distance between the central fixed disk packages and the mobile disk packages. The obtained analytical equations were implemented in MATLAB for visualizing the dependence between the input, the position of the prismatic joint of slider-crank mechanism and the out-put, which represents the distance between the disks and as result the overall transmission ratio.For a linear input it was obtained an exponential output, and it was found out the exponential regression that fits the best the motion law of the output. Also, we search and found an input motion low to have a linear motion law that generates a linear behavior for the transmission ratio.

A Novel Method for Rolling Bearing Fault Diagnosis Based on VMD and SGW 基于VMD和SGW的滚动轴承故障诊断新方法

The bearing vibration signal with strong non-stationary properties is generally composed of multiple components making it complicated to extract the characteristic fault features of vibration signals of rolling bearings under the background of strong noise, how to solve this problem effectively is the focus of our research. Therefore, a new scheme based on Variational Mode Decomposition (VMD) and second-generation wavelet (SGW) is proposed in this paper. Firstly, VMD can decompose accurately and adaptively a complex multi-component signal into a set of IMF component with narrow band properties.Secondly, on the basis of kurtosis and cross-correlation analysis, the optimum signal components obtained by the VMD are selected to filter and to reconstruct the analysis signal. Then, (SGW) approach is used to eliminate the strong noise background and enhance the periodic impact in the optimum IMF components. Lastly, the accurate characteristic defect frequency can be obtained by using envelope spectrum of the reconstructing signal. The success of the proposed approach is verified by analysis the vibration signals of bearings with an outer race, an inner race and a rolling element faults, respectively. The results indicate that the scheme is feasible and useful for extracting the bearings fault features.

Analysis of Cylinder Block Torque Characteristics of Dual-Drive Axial Piston Motor 双驱动轴向柱塞电机缸体转矩特性分析

A mathematical model of the cylinder block moment of a dual-drive axial piston motor considering the dynamic pressure in the piston chamber is developed. The influence of the number of plugs, staggering angle, inlet pressure and swashplate inclination on the individual moments applied to the cylinder block was analyzed. The results show: when the number of pistons in the inner and external emissions is the same, the cylinder block is subjected to a periodic pulsation of each moment and odd-numbered pistons have a higher frequency of torque fluctuations than even-numbered pistons. With increasing intersection angle, the pulsation rate of the torque around the x and y axes tends to increase and then decrease but the output torque varies in the opposite direction; The inlet pressure can increase the torque pulsation rate of the cylinder block in equal proportion. When the inclination angle of the inner and external swashplate is not the same, the reasonable selection of different inner and external swashplate inclination angles can make the overturning torque generated by the inner and external emissions offset and increase, so that the overturning torque of the cylinder block is reduced.

Deform 3D Simulation and Experimental Investigation of Fixtures with Support Heads 具有支撑头的夹具变形三维仿真与实验研究

Thin-walled aluminium parts are employed in a variety of industries, including construction and aerospace. If they are treated to a greater quantity of milling, they are more resistant to deformation. As a result, the stability of the work parts degrades, and the surface roughness increases as a result of this factor. This work proposes the use of a well-designed fixture with support heads to lessen the deformation produced by square thin-walled aluminium plate milling. The suggested fixture system's support heads are comprised of high-carbon steel. The milling experiment is carried out in a CNC Machining centre under machining settings similar to DEFORM 3D-Simulation. The experimental results are validated by measuring surface roughness with the SURFTEST SJ-210 portable Surface Roughness tester in two scenarios: without and with fixtures used during the milling operation. As a result of employing this fixture with support heads to reduce deformation, surface roughness values are reduced by a minimum of 3% to a maximum of 19%. As a result, it has been demonstrated that the proposed fixture with support head may be used to reduce distortion in thin-walled aluminium plates

Development of an Independent Front Suspension for Truck Tractors 卡车牵引车独立前悬架的研制

Design and experimental validation stages of an independent front suspension (IFS) that is designed for truck tractors of articulated commercial vehicles are summarised. Firstly, the suspension geometry, which satisfies the required conditions of minimum deviation of camber angle and track width during wheel travel, is obtained within the given design volume by using Multibody Systems (MBS) and Design of Experiments (DOE) approaches. Subsequently, the kinetic analysis is carried out for the suspension system and the critical design loads that may act on the structural elements are determined. Taking these loads into account, the mechanical design of the suspension system elements is performed. The Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is applied to the complete suspension system for the chosen critical load conditions. Stress concentrated regions on the crucial system elements are determined and improvements are indicated, which result in the reduction of stress concentrations. In the last part of the study, prototyping and fatigue tests are carried out. Throughout bench tests, in which real service conditions are simulated, no failure of any sort is encountered. The final suspension system (pair) is 31% lighter than an equivalent rigid front axle in terms of load capacity.

This study concentrates on the fatigue performance of ultra-high-strength steel Aermet100 under different loading rates. The standard specimen measured the static mechanical properties of Aermet100 steel, based on which the basic mechanical properties and fracture characteristics of the sample before and after necking was obtained. To take the strain rate effect into account, this study uses the dynamic constitutive model Johnson-Cook. The equation parameters are fitted through dynamic mechanical tests and quasi-static tests. This model is input into ABAQUS user-defined program afterward. Referring to the work done above, along with the extended finite element method (XFEM), this study establishes the dynamic fracture finite element model of the Aermet100 steel specimen on the basis of the continuous damage mechanics. Five groups of specimen fatigue tests were carried out in the laboratory. Simulation results show the feasibility and accuracy of the integrated XFEM model with the same loading and boundary conditions. The experimental data and simulation results prove that, in the loading time range of 0.0001 ~ 1s, the life cycles increase as the loading rate increases. It is worth mentioning that when the loading time is in the order of 0.0001s, the life changes significantly.

Evaluation and Modelling of Production Processes Affected by Unmeasured Situations: Case Study of a Metal Processing Company 受不可测量情况影响的生产过程的评价与建模:以金属加工公司为例

As the unpredicted situations can occur anytime, the production should be prepared to maintain the same pace as always. The pandemic of 2019 prooved that proper production processes are vital. The case study was made in metal processing company to examine how the workflow has changed after the implementations of virus prevention rules. Welding operation of metal furniture leg was observed and calculations presented – 115 minutes are wasted due to additional daily tasks caused by prevention of the pandemic. The recomendations were described and 160 minutes could be saved in accordance to them. The robotisation of processes and DSS implementation were presented.

The Effect of Clearance on Energy Dissipation for the Roots Power Machine Based on Low-Quality Energy Recovery 基于低质量能量回收的罗茨电机间隙对能量耗散的影响

As a new type of waste heat conversion machine, the roots power machine can convert low-quality waste heat resources that are difficult to use into mechanical energy. In order to study the influence of tip clearance and radial clearance on the roots power machine, experimental studies were conducted with the roots power machine having different combination of tip and radial clearances and their influence on the performance of the roots power machine was examined. A parametric study was undertaken using CFD to find the sensitivity of these clearances in influencing the performance of roots power machine in the range of 0.2-0.5 mm. From the analysis, it was inferred that radial clearance was sensitive for clearance range of 0.25-0.5 mm and tip clearance in the range of 0.2-0.25 mm. Reduction in clearance from 0.5 mm to 0.2 mm caused an increase of 10.368 and 11.423 % in mechanical and volumetric efficiency respectively.

Quality Research of Metal Parts Produced by Cold Sheet Forming 金属件冷板成形质量研究

Sheet metal forming is one of the most popular technologies for obtaining finished products in automotive industries. The main techniques of sheet metal forming: sheet microforming, warm/hot forming, incremental sheet forming, flexible-die forming, Electromagnetic sheet forming, Electrohydraulic forming, Spinning and Shear Spinning, Shear Spinning and Flow Forming and cold sheet forming. One most popular cold stamping process. In the production line of Ravne VPS400 1992, we take twenty details for looking quality review, looking for surface damage reasons - a little changing tonnage and speed. The biggest deformation, when velocity is the slowest the tonnage don’t have an impact on this radius deformation. Firstly, we measured the surface for all twenty details with Contourograph CV-2100 M4. In one measurement point we have ten points which is the biggest or slowest tolerance, these results can be the reason why the detail is damage. These details make one tact process. We can say the recommendation – if the detail will be making for one more tact process, detail not be damage, but this extra process is a very grown the price. Second, we see metal steel chemistry alloy elements, and we can be looking which elements have some reason mechanical properties of steels. Our samples have not enough elasticity, and in steel structure we can recommend taking more carbon C, Silicon Si and Vanadium V. Silicon Si, is important for a machinability and tensile properties as well and this element is essential in steel structure. Thirsty, we used the 3D coordinate measuring machine Mitutoyo SurfaceMeasure 606T, looking for tolerances differences. And we see in detail which places will have a damage, we have the results lowest from the layout, we see the blue color. If we made detail not one tact process, but more tact’s making detail the thickness would be evenly gradually. The crystalline structure of the metal broke due to excessive thinning.
