2020] Objective (s ) : Regarding changes in women’s fertility in Iran, this study attempted to explain fertility changes of married women aged 15-49 years old in Iran at individual and province level. Methods: The data were extracted from the Census 2016 and some of the province data were analyzed based on hierarchical linear model through HLM software. Results: The findings showed that individual characteristics had a larger impact on fertility than province characteristics impact. Women's fertility difference by province was significant. All individual characteristics had a significant impact on fertility and it explained a total of 44% of variance of women's fertility. Also, about 46% of variance of interprovincial childbearing was explained through characteristics for provinces in this study. Conclusion: Since currently the socio-economic development indexes are sub-optimal, more intense decline in fertility is likely and the relative continuity of the current fertility level is to be

2020] Objective (s ) : Understanding customer expectations is essential to achieving better quality services. The aim of this study was to evaluate the quality of eduacational program offered by pre-marital counseling centers from expextant coupls’ perspective. Methods: This cross-sectional study was carried out in pre-marital counseling centers of Alborz province in summer 2018. In all 679 expextant couples were randomly selected. Their expectations and perceptions of counseling services were measured before and after classes by the SERVQUAL questionnaire in five dimensions of assurance, empathy, accountability, reliability, and tangibility. Data were analyzed using Wilcoxon, ANOVA, T- test and correlation tests. Results: A negative quality gap (0.12) was identified between expectations and perceptions (P<0.001). In four out of five dimensions, negative quality gaps were existed. The highest negative quallity gap was related to empathy (0.22) and the lowest negative quality gap was related to reliability (0.05). The differences observed in three dimensions of empathy, tangibility and assurance were significant. Age and education were significantly associated with negative quality gaps. Conclusion: This study showed that policymakers should intervene to enhance the quality of pre-marriage counseling classes, especially in the areas of empathy, tangibility and assurance and, consequently, take effective steps to reduce divorce and increase marital satisfaction in Alborz

Self-efficacy and its relationship with factors affecting nutritional status in elderly Amir Rasoulifar 2 , Mohammad Vahedian-Shahroodi 2 , Jamshid Jamali 2 , Hadi Tehrani 2 1. School of Health, Mashhad University of Medical Science, Mashhad, Iran 2. Social Determinants of Health Research Center, Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, Mashhad, Iran Payesh 2020; 19 (2): 205 – 215 Accepted for publication: 26 April 2020 [EPub a head of print-4 May 2020] Objective (s): This study aimed to examine the relationship between self-efficacy and factors that affecting the nutritional status of elderly people. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, a random sample of 250 elderly adults attended to health centers in Mashhad, Iran in 2018 were studied. The Mini Nutritional Assessment (MNA) questionnaire was used to evaluate the nutritional status of the elderly. Moreover, a standard 10-item self-efficacy questionnaire was used to evaluate the self-efficacy. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS25 and the significance level was set at less than 0.05. Results: 32.4% (n=81) of the participants were men and 67.6% (n=169) were women with age range from 60 to 89 years. It was identified that 20.4% of the elderly (n =51) were at risk of malnutrition and 79.6% (n =151) had a favorable nutritional status. The results indicated that people with high self-efficacy had a better nutritional status. Additionally, the evidence suggested a significant relationship between self-efficacy and age, gender, level of education and marital status of the elderly (P value<0.001). Conclusion: The results indicated that the elderly with a favorable nutritional status had higher self-efficacy than the elderly in the risk of malnutrition.
