The genus Rinodina (Physciaceae, lichenized Ascomycota) in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) with a key to the species 在萨哈共和国(雅库特)的Rinodina属(physiaceae,地衣子囊菌科)及其种的钥匙

The lichen genus Rinodina in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is revised on the basis of extensive materials collected by the authors in 1974–2022. Twenty-four species of this genus have been recorded for the lichen biota of Yakutia. Eight species are recorded for the first time: Rinodina cinereovirens, R. confragosa, R. conradii, R. intermedia, R. interpolata, R. metaboliza, R. orculata, R. trevisanii. Five previously reported species were not found: Rinodina archaea, R. exigua, R. exiguella, R. milvina, R. sophodes. A key for identification of Rinodina known in Yakutia is given. For each species, characteristic features, differences from closely related species, and distribution in Russia and the world are discussed.

The paper provides data on mosses and liverworts of the islands of south-eastean of the Barents Sea: Yuzhny Island of Novaya Zemlya, Vaygach and Matveev islands based on 700 identifications of mosses and 200 identifications of liverworts. The annotated list includes 173 species and one variety of mosses and 52 species and nine infraspecific taxa of liverworts, including insufficiently known Blepharostoma trichophyllum hybrib 1, Barbilophozia rubescens, Saccobasis polita var. arctica, Trilophozia quinquedentata var. grandiretis. Among them, 17 species and one variety of mosses and 13 species, two varieties and two forms of liverworts are reported for the first time for Novaya Zemlya, 66 species of mosses, and 16 species and one variety of liverworts for the first time for Yuzhny Island, 14 species of mosses, and six species, two varieties and one form of liverworts are reported for the first time for Vaygach Island. The first data of bryophytes of Matveev Island are obtained: 44 species of mosses, and 11 species and one variety of liverworts are recorded. For every species, data on localities, frequency, and habitats are provided. New combinations are published for Mesoptychia gillmanii f. orbiculata (R. M. Schust.) Potemkin, comb. nov., and Trilophozia quinquedentata var. grandiretis (H. Buch et S. W. Arnell) Potemkin, comb. nov.

The study presents data on 24 species of lichens and seven species of lichenicolous fungi that are newly recorded in the Franz Josef Land Archipelago. Among these, Amandinea pelidna, Didymocyrtis bryonthae, and Sclerococcum parasiticum are new discoveries for European Russia, and another 12 species are newly documented for the Arkhangelsk Region. Thus, 301 species of lichens and 50 species of lichenicolous fungi are currently known for the Franz Josef Land Archipelago.

New data on aphyllophoroid fungi (Basidiomycota) of the Ussuriysky Nature Reserve (Primorye Territory, Russia) 俄罗斯乌苏里自然保护区担子菌科葡萄类真菌新资料

The article deals with information about 89 species of aphyllophoroid fungi collected on the territory of the Ussuriysky Nature Reserve in 2020–2021. There are 26 species new for this territory, including Podoscypha petalodes, which is new for Russia and two species new for the Primorye Territory (Antrodiella serpula, Perenniporia medulla-panis). Besides, information about Hyphodontia tropica, recently discovered for the first time in Russia is provided. Both morphological and molecular genetic methods were used for the species identification. In addition, pure cultures were obtained from freshly collected specimens to conserve ex situ macromycete diversity in the Far Eastern region. Thus, to date, the biota of aphyllophoroid fungi in the Ussuriysky Nature Reserve includes 274 species.

The paper provides the data on aphyllophoroid fungi of the State Nature Reserve «Zapadnyy Kotlin» situated in the Kronshtadtsky District of St. Petersburg. Annotated list includes 78 species with data on their habitats, substrates and frequency. Seven species (Botryobasidium capitatum, Deviodontia pilaecystidiata, Kneiffiella microspora, Lentaria byssiseda, Phanerochaete livescens, Phlebia subochracea, Schizopora flavipora) are published for the first time for St. Petersburg. Deviodontia pilaecystidiata is new for North-West of European Russia.

First records for Russia of naviculoid diatom from the Yaroslavl Region, and micromycetes from the Republic of North Ossetia — Alania, green alga for the Leningrad Region and Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area, fragilarioid diatom for the Kaliningrad Region, red alga for the Nizhny Novgorod Region, cyanoprokaryota for the Leningrad Region and Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, and crustaceous red alga for the Autonomous Republic of Adjara of Georgia, macromycetes for the Leningrad Region, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area — Yugra, Republic of Tuva, Trans-Baikal Territory, myxomycetes for the Trans-Baikal Territory, lichens and allied fungi for the Murmansk and Tver regions, republics of Karelia and Tuva, Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area, Altai and Khabarovsk territories, cyanolichen for the Urals and the Orenburg Region, mosses for the Lipetsk Region, republics of Ingushetia and Buryatia, Krasnoyarsk and Trans-Baikal territories are presented. The data on their localities, habitats, distribution are provided. The specimens are kept in the herbaria ALTB, GSU, IBIW, IRK, KPABG, LE, MHA, MW, NNSU, NSK, PZV, TBI, UUH, VU, YSU, and the Diatom collection of the Laboratory for Algology of IBIW RAS. Sequences of 16S, and 16S–23S ITS cyanobacterial RNA regions, ITS1-5.8S-ITS2 fungal and ITS1-2 moss nrDNA regions of some specimens have been deposited in the GenBank.

The data on their localities, habitats, distribution are provided. The specimens are kept in the herbaria ALTB, GSU, IBIW, IRK, KPABG, LE, MHA, MW, NNSU, NSK, PZV, TBI, UUH, VU, YSU, and the Diatom collection of the Laboratory for Algology of IBIW RAS. As a result of mycological research on the territory of Zaamin National Nature Park, a new powdery mildew for mycobiota of Uzbekistan — Erysiphe platani was found. This species was collected on Platanus orientalis. A brief description and photographs of Erysiphe platani are provided.

Hidden biodiversity in herbarium collections: experience of searching for lichenicolous fungi in lichen herbaria 植物标本中隐藏的生物多样性:在地衣植物标本中寻找地衣真菌的经验

Lichen herbaria contain a large number of parasitic fungi accidentally collected along with lichens. Various aspects of searching for lichenicolous fungi in lichen herbaria are discussed. The productivity of such searches, including the discovery of species new to science, may be higher than when these fungi are searched in nature. In one day’s work, 20–25 specimens of lichenicolous fungi can be found in the herbarium, and 2–15 specimens can be found in field studies.

The first data on the diversity of cyanobacteria found in the littoral zone of six different lakes on the Stornes Peninsula in the Larsemann Hills oasis (East Antarctica) are presented. Examination of samples by light microscopy revealed 27 cyanobacterial morphospecies. An annotated list with detailed morphological description of the morphospecies is given. In addition, a general characteristic of the algal-bacterial communities is provided, their composition and the dominant species are determined.

Based on collections of Koryak geobotanical expeditions of the Komarov Botanical Institute, 23 species of lichens and four lichenicolous fungi are reported as new to Koryakia, nine of them are also new to Kamchatka. Ephebe hispidula, Lambiella impavida, Rhizocarpon simillimum, Rhizoplaca opiniconensis, and Vestergrenopsis isidiata are new to the Russian Far East. Altogether 529 species of lichens and allied fungi are currently known for Koryakia.
