An improved model of synchronous generator based on Finite Element Method analysis 基于有限元分析的同步发电机改进模型

A system of voltage equations for general synchronous machine, which results in an improved equivalent circuit of such a machine, is presented. Mutual couplings and dependencies of inductances with respect to rotor position are included in the circuit. A method for calculation of reactances of the equivalent circuit, which takes into account the actual form of air gap and MMF, saturation of iron, and their mutual connections, is described. The applicability of the proposed model for computation of static and dynamic states of synchronous machine is proven on an example of a generator. It is shown that the improved model can be reduced to the standard form by neglecting higher harmonics. The model enables calculation of electrical and mechanical parameters that affect the waveform of output voltage, noise and vibrations, which is especially important in operation of a frequency converter.

Influence of the magnetic steel encasing of induction motors on the efficiency of the rotor faults diagnosis based on the harmonics of the coil sensors output voltage 基于线圈传感器输出电压谐波的感应电动机磁钢外壳对转子故障诊断效率的影响

This paper deals with the influence of the magnetic steel encasing of squirrel cage induction motors on the efficiency of one broken bar and rotor dynamic eccentricity faults diagnosis based on the harmonics of the output voltage of coil sensors placed outside the motor. The effects of the rotor faults on the electromagnetic torque and on the unbalanced force of rotor - stator interaction are evaluated. The most important harmonics for fault diagnosis are determined for a high power low rated slip motor, without and with a magnetic steel encasing thick enough with respect the penetration depth of the main traveling field of the motor.

Ferrite assisted synchronous reluctance machines: A general approach 铁氧体辅助同步磁阻电机:一般方法

A general approach to the design of high performance ferrite-assisted synchronous reluctance motors is presented. Reference is made to a rectified rotor structure, with multiple flux barriers, designed to optimize the performance and the exploitation of the PM material. The key design issue of de-magnetization is analytically investigated, pointing out the maximum allowed current loading, depending on temperature and machine dimensions. Such current limit is then compared with the one imposed by the thermal constraint. The analysis shows that low and medium size machines tend to be robust against demagnetization, while larger machines are more at risk. The theoretical analysis is confirmed by finite-elements via an example machine design.

Theoretical analysis of the reversed claw poles alternator performances 反向爪极交流发电机性能的理论分析

The goal of this article is to present the reversed claw poles generator (RCPG)'s performances (magnetic flux, flux density and stator induced electromotive force) achieved by modifying the machine's geometric topology. The magnetic flux density distribution is computed via two methods: magnetic equivalent circuit and finite element analysis. From the finite element analysis, the shapes of the induced electromotive force are also fetched. In order to perform the Fourier analysis of these wave forms, the FFT technique from Matlab SIMULINK is employed. The paper presents in detail the machine's operational and external characteristics.

This paper presents a simulation model for an electrical machine with lumped elements. The novel model contains and describes electrical, magnetic and mechanical energies and the conversion between them. In contrast to comparable nonlinear models, the elements are computed analytically. Beside advantages in modeling time and effort, the procedure improves the comprehension for the electrical machine and aids detecting of torque ripple causations.

Sensorless vector control for hermetic reciprocating compressor 闭式往复式压缩机无传感器矢量控制

This paper presents a sensorless vector control algorithm applied to a hermetic reciprocating compressor of a conventional refrigeration system. The single-phase induction motor of conventional on/off refrigerator is driven in variable speed to improve the thermal performance of the system. A sensorless technique is necessary because the conventional speed sensor cannot be employed in the hermetic compressor. To overcome this drawback, a model reference adaptive-system is used to estimate the mechanical speed of a single-phase induction motor. The electrical parameters of machine are needed to set the speed estimator and to implement a vector control. The classical tests to obtain the electrical parameters are a difficult task in hermetic compressor. Thus, a recursive least-square algorithm is used for parameter identification. The high performance speed control of hermetic compressor is shown and the experimental results are provided and discussed to validate the proposed algorithm.

Switching Flux Permanent Magnet machines compared with Interior Permanent Magnet machines are presented to be interesting solutions in terms of torque per volume density, compactness, active material layout and cooling capability. The flux linkage results to be bi-directional and voltage is almost sinusoidal. These machines are then interesting for AC drives and field weakening operation. Employing low cost magnet material must be carefully evaluated despite of the lack of torque capability adopting rare earths permanent magnet can be recovered with cost saving.

Eddy current loss calculation in rotor back iron for concentrated winding PM generator 集中绕组永磁发电机转子后铁涡流损耗计算

Permanent Magnet (PM) machines with concentrated windings can be advantageous due to possible automation in manufacturing process. However, a typical disadvantage of the concentrated winding machines is eddy current losses in the solid conductive parts. Eddy current losses occur because the air gap flux produced by the concentrated windings contains much more space harmonics compared to the distributed windings. In this paper an analytical and a finite element (FE) model of eddy current loss calculation in rotor back-iron are compared. It was concluded that the analytical method can be a first good guess to compare and select different topologies for detailed design. Analytical method is quick but has a lot of assumptions and thereby low accuracy for actual loss calculation. FE method is more accurate for calculating actual eddy current losses due to its ability to handle complex geometries and material non-linearities. A comparison of deviation of results has been presented.

An investigation of the use of a Halbach array in MW level permanent magnet synchronous generators 哈尔巴赫阵列在兆瓦级永磁同步发电机中的应用研究

This paper reports on the use of a Halbach array in megawatt level permanent magnet synchronous generators (PMSGs) for wind turbine applications. Conclusions derived from the machine's linear approximation are applied here on the cylindrical PMSGs. An analytical model is used to model the machine's performance when a Halbach and a conventional array are considered. The Halbach array displayed superior fundamental flux density after design manipulation through the analytical equations. Finite Element Analysis simulation has been used to verify the analytical equations and findings. Discussion of the results is provided and future research direction is briefly described at the end of the paper.

Conclusions derived from the machine's linear approximation are applied here on the cylindrical PMSGs. An analytical model is used to model the machine's performance when a Halbach and a conventional array are considered. The Halbach array displayed superior fundamental flux density after design manipulation through the analytical equations. Finite Element Analysis simulation has been used to verify the analytical equations and findings. Real-time demagnetization assessment of PM synchronous machine 永磁同步电机的实时消磁评估

This paper presents a real-time permanent magnet (PM) demagnetization assessment in permanent magnet synchronous machines (PMSM) using a physics-based model. The model is enabled to estimate the resultant normal magnetic flux density on the face of PM in a PMSM. The model is a function of physical geometry and material of the PMSM, physics of demagnetization, and the ambient temperature. The demagnetization assessment during PMSM operation is verified numerically on three typical PMSM topologies using the modified FE-based coupled thermal-field-circuit phase variable model and the results are discussed.
