Parallel volume rendering is an effective approach, which can achieve fast rendering of large-scale data sets by dividing the volume and then assigning them to different cluster nodes for rendering in parallel. This paper presents some acceleration techniques in each stage of the parallel-rendering- pipeline. In the stage of data management, we employ a LOD method to overcome the constraints of storage capacity and to speed up the rendering while maintaining image quality. In the stage of rendering, we use the geometric template method to reduce the huge computational cost of the CPU. Finally the binary-swap algorithm is used in the image synthesis stage. The load-balancing problem is a key issue in parallel rendering and it would become more serious especially when we zoom in or out. After the use of the LOD method, we resolve the load-balancing problem by introducing the kd-tree data structure and utilizing the dynamic rendering time of the last frame as the balancing standard. Several experiments on the Virtual Human (VH) data sets show that these techniques can effectively improve the performance of parallel volume rendering.

In order to make use of jujube residue, insoluble dietary fiber from jujube residue was prepared by using auxiliary alkal method . The functional characteristics of insoluble dietary were also studied,such as water holding capacity, expansibility and fat adsorption capacity. The optimum parameters obtained by orthogonal experiment were as follows:NaOH concentration 0.4mol/L ,soaking temperature 50℃,soaking time 120 min and milled size 60 mesh.Under this condition,yield of insoluble dietary fiber was 73.1%. The water holding capacity, expansibility and fat adsorption capacity of insoluble dietary fiber were 4.9g/g, 4.6mL/g , and 3.2g/g , respectively. The extraction yield of dietary fiber from jujube residue was higher,and its physicochemical characteristic was good. There are good prospects for development.

Anoxic/aerobic (A/O) membrane bioreactor (MBR) process, which is based on the MBR technic, is an effective method of wastewater treatment. In this study, two chief operation indexes of A/O MBR system are studied and optimized. The final results shows that, under the operation condition that the HRT rate between anoxic and aerobic zone is 1:3 (which in this system is: 4.5h in aerobic zone, 1.5h in anoxic zone), and the IR rate is 300%Q, the COD, NH3 and TN removal effects reach the best. In the optimized system, the COD of effluent is below 30mg/L; NH3-N is kept lower than 10mg/L; and TN is lower than 40mg/L. the effluent reaches the standards of water reuse

Abstract-scFv (single-chain Fv fragment)is the gene engineered antibody employed widely in at present. Recently there have been some progress on colorectal cancer diagnosis and treatment-oriented with scFv as carrier, but it is differential on affinity and anti-tumor activity of scFv with that of derived factor. Proper linker could make scFv have more suitable biological activity on clinical application. So it becomes a key step that how to choose and design a proper linker. In this work, the (Gly4Ser)n is used as the linker to connect VH and VL separately (n=0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9). and the 3D structure of corresponding scFv is reconstructed by homology modeling. The End-End distance of scFy protein with different linker (G4S)n, which 3D structure coordinate system are normalized, are compared to evaluate the effect of linker length to VH and VL. In molecular biology experiment, ND-1scFv-n are expressed and analyzed with n=1,3,5,7,9, their biologic activity active are consistent with what estimated by End-End distance. So the index to estimate biologic activity of scFv with its End-End distance is presented and could be helpful to further understand the relationship between the spatial structure of single-chain antibody and the physical and chemical properties.

Abstract-A new reagent is compounded by CaCl2 and MgSO4. It is determined through experiments that the proper mass ratio of CaCl2 and MgSO4 is 1:1. The optimum technical conditions which use CaCl2 and MgSO4 compound reagent to treat coal-washing wastewater are determined by the orthogonal experiment. The experimental results in laboratory are proved to be feasible through experiments in production. After analysing, we think that the coagulation mechanism of CaCl2 and MgSO4 compound reagent treating coal-washing wastewater does not comletely comply with DLVO theory. Resulting from many aspects related to each other.

The present paper deals with the efficiency of a novel macromolecule flocculant crosslinked starch-graft-polyacrylamide-co-sodium xanthate (CSAX) to remove Cr(VI) from water sample of a water plant. The results showed that the CSAX (1.0 mg/L) is capable of removing up to 85.4% of Cr(VI) from water sample having low initial concentration (0.221 mg/L) under the optimum conditions. The water treated satisfied the provisional guideline of 50 μg/L for Cr(VI) in drinking water established by the World Health Organization (WHO).

In the present study, the influence of the variation of immersion fluid volume (or air-drying time) on skull resistivity was studied. The results showed that the skull resistivity increased significantly with the increasing of air-drying time. For air-drying time of 10 min, the skull resistivity increased approximately 2 times, and for 30 min and 60 min, the skull resistivity increased significantly about 7 times and 19 times. This study suggests that we should pay more attention to the humidity of experimental environment to keep the natural immersion fluid from volatilizing in the measurement on skull resistivity. Preserving the freshly excised skull samples in gauze soaked with physiological saline can effectively keep the immersion fluid and maintain the natural physiological status.

The recovery of Dimethylbenzene and Butylacetate from industry spent solvent oil by batch distillation was studied, and the batch distillation experiment was performed with pretreated material. The effect of separation temperature, time and reflux ratio on separation process was investigated. The experimental results showed that the concentrations of Dimethylbenzene and Butylacetate were above 95% in top distillate product, and the yield of Dimethylbenzene and Butylacetate was 62% and 99.45%,respectively,under appropriately conditions. A robust and rapid mathematical model had been developed, based on mass balance and relative volatility. The satisfactory results obtained allowed to use the model in real time for a better control and management of batch distillation.

Lipase activity is common in staphylococci. Based on the blast of various known staphylococcal lipase DNA sequences, the degenerate primers were derived to amplify a 782-bp consensus lipase gene sequence of Staphylococcus hominis GIMT1.079, which encoded a deduced polypeptide of 260 amino acid (aa) residues. The alignment of aa sequence revealed that this 260-aa partial lipase of S. hominis shared high homology with those conserved parts of other 11 deduced staphylococcal lipases, in the range of the lowest 43.0% of S. epidermidis and the highest 63.5% of S. saprophyticus. Two aa residues, Ser39 and Asp230, were preliminarily confirmed in the putative catalytic triad as well as the 'P-loop' motif (-[AG]-x4-G-K-[ST]-) in this deduced 260-aa partial S. hominis lipase sequence.

The main objective of this study is to create a better understanding of farmers' awareness and performance in the promotion of environmental protection in rural China. We have chosen Panjiazhuang(Pan) Village as the research object. The data and information used in this paper were collected by distributing questionnaires randomly in Pan Village and interviewing 120 respondents. The results indicate that the residents have limited awareness and poor understanding about rural environmental protection, and there is some space for changing their behaviors related to energy use, garbage disposal and fertile use in planting to be more environmental friendly.
