An experimental analysis of differentiated quality of service support for LTE users LTE用户差异化服务质量支持的实验分析

Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) are planning to provide better Quality-of-Service (QoS) support for their priority users in Long Term Evolution (LTE) networks. In order to enable this feature for their infrastructure, MNOs are upgrading their core, transport and radio acces network sites for better-differentiated QoS support. In this paper, based on real-world network test experiments in one site of Turkey, we present how the performance of LTE base stations behaves when higher priority QoS to some LTE users are enabled. In order to evaluate this we compare the throughput performance of priority users with respect to normal LTE users in different scenarios including various frequencies and bandwidth. Our results demonstrate that even though a pre-configured resource allocation can be given to priority users in a commercial setting, real network performance results can differ due to availability of other normal LTE users and differences in obtained QoS Class Identifier (QCI) levels of wireless network's conditions.

Improving efficency of mathematical functions in image processing by loop fusion 利用环路融合提高数学函数在图像处理中的效率

Compiler optimization, reducing data load from memory and not using off-line data are issues that effective in enhancing energy retention of multimedia, embedded and general-purpose systems. In these systems most programs are comprised from loops, and this shows the importance of compiler optimization. In this paper we have carried out loop reduction using calculation and fusing two loops and transforming them to one loop that caused data locality increase and reusability, and decreased loading data from memory, thus increase speedup. We have applied this technique on several feature extraction algorithms, such as mean and variance and some similar algorithms like covariance and third moment that are used in content-based image retrieval systems. This technique approximately increases efficiency of two loops method twice. In addition, we have calculated the combination of these three functions. In this way, we have observed that the combined version also increases the efficiency twice.

Investigation of magnetic field inside Universiti Teknologi Brunei Campus 汶莱理工大学校园内磁场调查

Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) is an engineering and technical university in Brunei Darussalam. This university receive its electrical power supply from the Berakas Power Management Company (BPMC), a local utility company, through an 11kV/415V transformer. This distribution transformer and its switch room were installed at different location but very close to each other. The goal of this investigation was to measure the low frequency magnetic field radiated from the switch board and electrical appliances located around the administration office. In this case, the magnetic field was measured using EMDEX II meter with the aid of Linda Wheel equipment. The measured magnetic fields near the switchboard, around the induction motors, outside of the switchboard and at the admin office were found to be 96.22mG, 11.91mG, 12.4mG and 8.4mG, respectively. These values of magnetic fields were found to be within the acceptable limit provided by the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) standard. In addition, a mathematical model was developed based on the lateral distance with higher determination of coefficient.

Controlling the temperature reactor based on Raspberry Pi system control 基于树莓派系统控制反应器温度

The main purpose of this paper to ensure the chemical solution inside the reactor vessel maintained based on Raspberry Pi control system to keep the temperature constant. A steam-heated jacket envelops the reactor vessel, transferring heat from the steam into the chemical solution inside. The control system maintains a constant temperature by measuring the temperature of the reactor vessel, and throttling steam from a boiler to the steam jacket to add more or less heat as needed normally this action done by PLC or DCS, in this paper we are using Raspberry pi as temperature controller to monitor and control the temperature reactor.

Remote detection and measurement of limb tremors 肢体震颤的远程检测与测量

Remote limb tremor measurement is an important step for assessing severity of a number of diseases including Parkinson's disease and cerebellar tremor. Detection and precise quantification of limb tremor helps doctors for effectively adjust medications for patients. We propose a novel tracker that detects and measures human limb tremors automatically and remotely. Our proposed tracker upgrades Kinect's capabilities for accurate limb tremor detection and measurement.

3D virtual and real synchronous mapping modeling and operation control technology oriented to automatic test unit 面向自动测试单元的三维虚实同步映射建模与运行控制技术

Automatic test system will generate a large number of data in the test process, how to monitor the test system more intuitively is an urgent problem. In this paper, a 3D virtual and real synchronous mapping modeling and operation control technology for automatic test unit is proposed, it includes a view based 3D scene switching control technology and the scene control instruction mapping technology driven by the actual execution state. Through these two technical means, the real-time control and control of the fine management of the automatic test line and the visualization of the test execution process are realized. Finally, a production management system is designed and verifies the effectiveness of the above technologies successfully.

Comparison of dynamic performances of TCSC, Statcom, SSSC on inter-area oscillations TCSC、Statcom、SSSC对区域间振荡的动态性能比较

In power grid, the development of dynamic activity of power flow into grid represents a continuous challenge. This challenge is to transfer power in a full capacity and reduces power losses to minimum range. This lead to a necessity of studying the problems that affect on power system stability for Ensuring optimal use. One of these problems is the oscillations of low frequency. Inter-area oscillations are critical and should be detected and damped efficiently in order not to cause a blackout in the power systems. With this respect, it is of great importance to deal with this problem so that power quality of the power systems is continuously supplied by the power system operators. The major objective of this paper is to investigate the oscillations associated with the operation of the system and processed it in inter-area mode. The studied model is a Kundur which is a power system with two area used with implementation of each of selected "Flexible-Alternating- Current-Transmission FACTS devices which were implemented to a specific place in the network to check dynamic performances of Thyristor controlled series compensator (TCSC), Static synchronous compensator STATCOM and Static synchronous series compensator SSSC on inter-area and record the results. The generalized results were conducted to show the operation performance of selected FACTS devices.

Solving resource-constrained project scheduling problem using metaheuristic algorithm 利用元启发式算法求解资源受限的项目调度问题

We propose the metaheuristic algorithm to solve the The Resource-Constrained Project Scheduling Problem (RCPSP). The approach method extends the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) by regrouping the agent particles within the appropriate radius of the circle. It initializes the group of particles, calculates the fitness function, and finds the best particle in that group. Then, it incorporates the adaptive mutation and forward-backward improvement to hybridize local search algorithm for constructing the feasible project scheduling with the minimal make-span. The efficiency of the proposed method is tested against the well-known benchmarks. The results show that the proposed method gives better optimum rate and standard deviation than some existing procedures.

The approach method extends the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) by regrouping the agent particles within the appropriate radius of the circle. It initializes the group of particles, calculates the fitness function, and finds the best particle in that group. Then, it incorporates the adaptive mutation and forward-backward improvement to hybridize local search algorithm for constructing the feasible project scheduling with the minimal make-span. The efficiency of the proposed method is tested against the well-known benchmarks. Simulation of silicon solar cells with atomic layer deposited Al2O3 as passivation layers 用原子层沉积Al2O3作为钝化层的硅太阳电池模拟

With the depletion of traditional fossil fuels, the application of renewable energies, such as solar energy, becomes more important. Atomic layer deposition (ALD) Al2O3 can be used as passivation layers in p-type and n-type silicon solar cells, which can increase the lifetime of minority carriers and reduce the surface recombination velocity. Field- effect and chemical passivation are two effects in ALD Al2O3 on silicon surface. In this article, we use PC1D to simulate the silicon solar cells with the application of ALD Al2O3. In the p- type silicon solar cell, ALD Al2O3 is applied at the back surface, and the conversion efficiency is increased from 17.5% to 20.3% The simulation result indicates that the field-effect passivation is more important. In the n-type silicon solar cell, ALD Al2O3 is applied on the p-type emitter at the front surface, and chemical passivation may play more important roles.

The study of substation grounding grid impressed current cathodic protection systems based on COMSOL multiphyscis 基于COMSOL multiphysics的变电站接地网外加电流阴极保护系统研究

Grounding grid is an indispensable important component in the substation, which has important meaning for protecting the personal safety, equipment safety and system safety. Due to the grounding grid is always in the complex soil, it faced the varying degrees of corrosion threat. When the soil resistivity is high, engineers usually use an impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) system to suppress corrosion. But the existing design and installation process of ICCP systems has some drawbacks. Engineers can only get the effect of the system after ICCP systems installed and run. If the effect is not up to standard, they need to re-design and re-install, which will waste a lot of manpower and resources. This paper mainly analyses the ICCP systems and proposes a new method to design the substation grounding grid ICCP systems by COMSOL Multiphyscis simulation software, which can effectively solve the above problems.
