Position-sensorless control of a submersible PMSM fed over a long cable and two transformers 通过长电缆和两个变压器供电的潜水式永磁同步电机的无位置传感器控制

This paper proposes the combination of two sensorless control algorithms for the secure start-up and the efficient operation of a remotely-controlled PMSM. V / f control is applied during the start-up of the motor and vector control is used for operation at higher speeds. The investigated system consists of a long step-out configuration with a cable and two transformers between the PMSM and its VSD. The system is tested with simulations and with experiments on a lab model. The results demonstrate that V / f control can safely start the PMSM. The effect of the inertia of the rotating assembly, the load torque and the initial rotor position on the start-up performance of the system is investigated and the successful transition from V / f control to vector control is demonstrated.

Flying-capacitor topology for grounding of single-phase transformer-less three-level photovoltaic inverters 单相无变压器三电平光伏逆变器接地的飞电容拓扑

This paper presents a new inverter topology named after its operating principle based on a flying capacitor. The inverter uses neither a grid transformer (50/60 Hz) nor a high frequency transformer and therefore does not provide a strict galvanic isolation. However, its innovative circuit has been designed in order to allow grounding one pole of the photovoltaic (PV) generator which is not feasible with common transformer-less PV inverters. The slight drop in efficiency and increase in size and costs due to the use of more numerous semiconductors and additional passive components is well below that of inverters using high or low frequency transformers and is fully compensated by decisive technical advantages. Indeed, the ability to ground the DC side of the inverter can be of a great interest for certain PV generators but also for other kinds of applications such as batteries.

A novel H6 topology and Its modulation strategy for transformerless photovoltaic grid-connected inverters 一种新型无变压器光伏并网逆变器H6拓扑及其调制策略

With the rapid development of advanced power electronics technology and photovoltaic power systems, transformerless photovoltaic (TPV) inverters have been widely used due to the advantages in weight, size, efficiency and so on. However, there exists common-mode leakage current in TPV inverters, which should be satisfied the DIN VDE0126-1-1 standard. A novel H6 topology (H6-N) with dedicated modulation strategy for the TPV inverter is proposed to make the TPV inverter generate smaller common-mode leakage current comparing with the existed TPV inverter topologies and achieve low total harmonic distortion (THD) of output current. The common-mode voltage (CMV), common-mode leakage current and power losses of the single-phase TPV inverters with H6-N, H5 and HERIC topologies are compared respectively via simulation analysis. Finally, a universal prototype of TPV inverter using H6-N topology is built and tested to validate the effectiveness of the presented topology.

Investigation of negative sequence injection capability in H-bridge multilevel STATCOM h桥多层STATCOM负序注入能力研究

The aim of this paper is to investigate the ability of star- and delta-connected H-bridge multilevel STATCOMs to exchange negative-sequence current with the grid. Zero-sequence injection is utilized for capacitor voltage balancing. It is shown that a singularity for these configurations exists, leading to limitations in the utilization of the compensator for asymmetry compensation purposes.

Model Predictive Direct Torque Control of induction machines using a two-fold state approximation strategy 利用双重状态逼近策略对感应电机的预测直接转矩控制进行建模

This paper presents a novel method for adopting the concept of Model Predictive Control (MPC) in Direct Torque Control (DTC) of Electrical machines. The proposed algorithm enhances the performance of a DTC controller by keeping the motor's electromagnetic torque and stator flux magnitude within predefined hysteresis bounds while minimizing the switching power losses. The MPC controller predicts the output trajectories using an explicit model of the drive. A two-fold state approximation policy limits the quantity of the admissible outputs in drawing the tree of feasible trajectories over the prediction horizon. The chains of switching sequences and relevant switching losses are identified and a dynamic programming algorithm chooses the chain of switching sequences that minimizes a cost function on power losses in the inverter. Using receding horizon policy, only the first component of this chain is applied to the machine as the input signal at every sampling instant. The simulations are performed a small-sized induction motor-drive unit. The outcomes verify the advantages of this method in comparison with classic DTC.

This paper presents an investigation into the integration of high current density inductors into a double side cooled sandwich power module package from the perspective of thermal management of the integrated inductors. The advantage of using this integration method with regards to using the converter thermal management system will be discussed in order to create a high speed optimised commutation circuit. The main aim is to allow the use of a high current density and hence obtain a high power density and high energy storage.

Novel isolated cascaded half-bridge converter for battery energy storage systems 用于电池储能系统的新型隔离级联半桥变换器

This paper presents a novel isolated cascaded half-bridge converter for medium voltage battery energy storage systems with three phase legs of series connected modules in star connection. Each module consists of a grid-side half-bridge, a battery-side full-bridge and a medium-frequency transformer providing isolation. The presented modulation ensures grid-side zero-current-switching (ZCS) and battery-side zero-voltage-switching (ZVS). The control system consists of a grid current control as well as a state-of-charge (SOC) balancing control for the batteries. Evaluation of the proposed module of a 6.6 kV, 150 kW, 1MWh design example shows an average module efficiency of 97.4% including semi-conductor and transformer losses. Simulation results verify the converter concept including the applied control structures.

The transmission of electrical energy with direct current (dc) is a promising alternative to alternating-current (ac) systems. The collection of energy with medium-voltage dc (MVDC) grids also increases the efficiency. In this paper, a dual-active bridge (DAB) dc-dc converter system for integrating wind turbines (WT) into MVDC grids is presented. Within this approach, the secondary-side bridges are series connected whereas the primary-side bridges are not connected with each other. This provides galvanic isolation between the WT.

A maximum power point control suitable for photovoltaic systems operating under uneven irradiance is proposed. Building on the observation that local maxima may occur only at specific string voltage, the searched range is reduced significantly. Thus the proposed controller is proven to identify and track the global maximum much faster than previously proposed ones. In addition the algorithm is simple, does not imply heavy computation and can be implemented in the simplest available micro-processors. Simulation results fully support the proposed approach.

Modeling and controller design for the multi-input PV/wind charger 多输入光伏/风力充电器的建模与控制器设计

The objective of this paper is to propose a multi-input converter (MIC) for hybrid PV/wind power charger application which can simplify the power system, reduce the cost and deliver continuous power with higher reliability to the load. The proposed MIC consists of a forward-type pulsating voltage source cell (PVSC) and a buck-boost prime converter can realize the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) function for each PV/wind source. Moreover, due to the isolated configuration, the MIC can adopt PV/wind power sources with larger operation voltage difference. In this paper, the small-signal ac model is derived and the controller design is developed. Computer simulations and experimental results are presented to verify the accuracy of the proposed small signal ac model and the performance of the proposed MIC.
