Failure characteristics of discrete power semiconductor packages exceeding electrical specifications 超出电气规范的分立功率半导体封装的失效特性

The failure characteristics of power semiconductors determine necessary protection elements and fault-tolerance of the total system. To obtain information on failure characteristics, several low voltage power MOSFETs with different packages, manufacturers and voltage ratings are deliberately destroyed by exceeding the electrical parameters gate- and drain-source voltage. Furthermore, the stability of MOSFETs during a capacitor discharging depending on the amount of stored energy is investigated, which is necessary for successful level reduction in multilevel converters. The research focuses on the device behaviour after failure depending on the package technology to give a design hint for fault-tolerant applications.

Variable speed drive-based pressure optimization of a pumping system comprising individual branch flow control elements 包括单个分支流量控制元件的泵送系统的变速驱动压力优化

Circulation pumping systems hold energy savings potential, which can be seized with intelligent control. In this paper, a novel variable speed drive based method for minimizing the required pump pressure of a pumping system that has individual branch flow control elements is introduced. The method can be used to save energy for example in central heating circulation applications. Moreover, the presented method is purely software-based and can be implemented using a variable speed drive. The operation of the method was verified with simulations and a laboratory test setup and compared with proportional pressure control.

This paper presents an electrical drive designed for an electrical active suspension system with motor, pump wheel and power electronics integrated in the same housing, sharing the same cooling method. The proposed drive is designed for the new 48V automotive standard for auxiliary drives having a maximum load of 2.5kW. The necessary mechanical and electrical requirements for the complete drive are documented. Design guidelines are presented for the integrated power electronics and motor drive and verified through experimental results. Thermal simulations are conducted to support the thermal design of the system.

The Coupled Interleaved Multicellular Parallel (CIMP) topology is the subject of intense research because of its advantages in terms of systems integration, power density increase, low level of EMI emissions and dynamic performance. This paper evaluates the viability of application of switching frequency modulation techniques to CIMP topology.

Modelling and evaluation of radial-axial PCB capacitive position sensor prototype 径向-轴向PCB电容式位置传感器原型的建模与评价

This work presents the compact radial-axial 3D PCB capacitive position sensor. The FEM model, numerical analysis and prototype verification are presented. The capacitances of circuit are estimated using 3D model and are verified based on spectral analysis. The open and closed-loop measurements prove feasibility in applications related to rotating machinery.

A Hybrid ACO and Nelder-Mead constrained algorithm for controller and anti-windup tuning 一种混合蚁群算法和Nelder-Mead约束算法用于控制器和反绕组调谐

Nonlinear controller tuning with anti-windup is not trivial since the parameters within the structure are interdependent. A global optimization-based tuning approach can handle this interdependence. A hybrid Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) and Nelder-Mead (NM) algorithm for controller and anti-windup tuning efficiently solves this problem. This paper proposes a new way to constrain ACO-NM algorithm to ensure positivity of key parameters in order to avoid searches in instability or low robustness regions and to improve computation time to reach an optimal solution.

Dynamic performance of series multiterminal HVDC during AC faults at inverter stations 逆变站交流故障时串联多端高压直流的动态性能

Multiterminal high voltage direct current (MTDC) system can be either a series type or a parallel type. Series MTDC concept is essentially developed from the two-terminal HVDC but with some unique characteristics. In this paper, the AC fault ride through capability of series MTDC is discussed. AC faults at inverter stations, which are connected to electrically separated AC systems, will be highlighted. For an AC fault that happens at one inverter station, the DC voltage of that station may decrease to zero due to commutation failure, while the other inverter stations (the healthy inverters) can still retain power transmission capability to some extent, which will increase the availability of the series MTDC system. However, the current controller design, the voltage dependent current order limiter (VDCOL) logic and the AC system strength will impact on the dynamic performance of series MTDC during AC faults. In this paper, a + 800kV/3.2GW 4-terminal line commutated converter (LCC) based series MTDC model is established to study the dynamic performance when AC faults occur at an inverter. The controller of the series MTDC is designed; the VDCOL logic for series MTDC is developed; simulation results of the dynamic performance during AC faults at the inverter stations are presented.

Large input-voltage range DC-DC converter for high-efficiency PV applications 用于高效率光伏应用的大输入电压范围DC-DC转换器

It is known that, the energy extracted from photovoltaic (PV) panels oscillates in magnitude during the light-day interval. In addition, an ideal location of PV systems involves the awareness of solar supply characteristics in order to establish a better use of this resource. In the solar energy systems this solar irradiance variation is partially engaged, limiting the converter's transformation rate for a certain input amount and leaving the rest of energy unconverted. This lends a restricted use of photovoltaic panel's energy capability. In order to utilize at its maximum the energy provided from a PV system, this manuscript proposes a topology that can cope with marginal input voltage variations from 60VDC up to 1050VDC for a steady output voltage of 700VDC. This output voltage value is suitable for any interlink post-regulation architecture. Based on previous observations, this paper presents a wide-input voltage high-efficiency non-isolated single-control topology. Analysis, operating stages and experimental results for a 3kW prototype are presented.

A novel current-limiting method for LLC DC/DC resonant converter 一种新的LLC DC/DC谐振变换器限流方法

Constant current control is a difficult issue for LLC resonant converter due to its variable frequency operation. After detailed analysis on the short circuit operation of conventional LLC DC-DC converter, a novel current-limiting method with the help of diode clamping is proposed. Against the conventional wisdom, the switching frequency is reduced toward zero to control the output current under over-load and short circuit condition ultimately. By doing so, the ultra-high frequency operation can be avoided for current-limiting at short circuit. A 480W 12V/40A prototype with proposed concept has been built to verify the theoretical analysis.

After detailed analysis on the short circuit operation of conventional LLC DC-DC converter, a novel current-limiting method with the help of diode clamping is proposed. Against the conventional wisdom, the switching frequency is reduced toward zero to control the output current under over-load and short circuit condition ultimately. By doing so, the ultra-high frequency operation can be avoided for current-limiting at short circuit. A numerical model for evaluation power outages impact on water infrastructure services sustainability 评估停电对供水基础设施服务可持续性影响的数值模型

Critical infrastructure's (CI) (electricity, heat, water, information and communication technology networks) security, stability and reliability are closely related to the interaction phenomenon. Due to the increasing amount of data transferred, increases dependence on telecommunications and internet services, the data integrity and security is becoming a very important aspect for the utility services providers and energy suppliers. In such circumstances, the need is increasing for methods and tools that enable infrastructure managers to evaluate and predict their critical infrastructure operations as the failures, emergency or service degradation occur in other related infrastructures. Using a simulation model, is experimentally tested a method that allows to explore the water supply network nodes the average down time dependence on the battery life time and the battery replacement time cross-correlations, within the parameters set, when outages in power infrastructure arise and taking into account also the impact of telecommunication nodes. The model studies the real case of Latvian city Ventspils. The proposed approach for the analysis of critical infrastructures interdependencies will be useful for practical adoption of methods, models and metrics for CI operators and stakeholders.
