To improve accuracy and efficiency of the set value tracking in anaerobic digestion process for wastewater treatment, a fast and high accurate ILC algorithm-closed loop iterative learning control is proposed. The introduced ILC utilizes m-accretive mapping theory to ensure the uniqueness of desired control input and a rigorous mathematical proof guarantees convergence of tracking error, at the same time the effectiveness of the proposed method is presented by simulations.

Interaction between humans and machines is one of the major issues concerned by the technological society. The software interface becomes especially important as nowadays we interact with machines through it. In interface design emotions should be concerned because operators' behaviors are substantially influenced by emotions. Ecological Interface Design (EID) is recognized as a promising framework for designing interfaces for complex human-machine systems. However, no attention has been paid on the influence of ecologically designed interface on operators' emotional states. This paper is aiming to find answer for two questions: first, whether the acclaimed Ecological Interface has advantages in improving operators' emotional aspect, second, how the emotions of operators are related with interface usability factors. Traditional interface and ecological interface were compared, by using Semantic Differential method and user interview, of the influence on emotional states, also, usability factors were studied and related to the operators' emotions.

Pitches of infants demonstrate different changing characteristics under the environment of various languages. Focusing on pitch changes of infants growing up in the Mandarin Chinese and Amdo Tibetan environment, this paper elaborates based on analysis that these two groups of infants share some similar changing patterns, such as pitch rising after a long period of the level tone. However, there still appear several differences in regard of types of pitch change. Pitches of the infant growing up in the Mandarin Chinese environment displays five changing types, the level tone, the rising tone, the tortuous tone, the falling tone and the complex tone, while the infant growing up in the Amdo Tibetan environment experiences only four types of changes, the falling tone, the level tone, the rising tone and the complex tone, and has no model of tone falling before tone rising. Furthermore, the study finds that the first pitch change that infants can acquire is the falling tone, which is due to the immature of their vocal organs as well as that they are not yet familiar with pronunciations.

Collaborative filtering recommendation algorithm has become a common way to deal with the problem of information overload, which hinders consumers to make appropriate decisions and firms to provide the items that consumers really interest in. Traditional collaborative method is basing on consumers' rating on the items, hence, their performance suffers from data sparsity and cold-start. In this paper, we propose the framework of a novel recommendation algorithm. The proposed algorithm adopts the method of opinion mining to extract consumers' preference from their reviews, and then incorporating it to collaborative filtering method to improve the performance of the algorithm. The current work is an improving method to the traditional item-based collaborative filtering algorithm.

A camera calibration algorithm based on genetic algorithm is proposed. Build the camera imaging model, choose the calibration parameters in the camera model and choose them as the genes in genetic algorithm, set fitness function, probability of performing crossover and other parameters in the genetic algorithm and use genetic algorithm to solve the calibration parameters. The calibration results show that the proposed method has higher precision than Tsai's calibration algorithm.

This paper solves the problem with simultaneous delivery and pick-up through using the improved TS algorithm on the basis of the traditional TS algorithm. The closest inserting algorithm is adopted to construct the initial solutions in this paper. To improve the initial solution, the paper uses 2-opt to structure neighborhood Reference set, which is divided into superior Ref Set1 and inferior Ref Set2. Two solutions are selected respectively from Ref Set1 and Ref Set2 to constitute a new solution, and then form into dispersal and diverse Candidate-set. In addition, Dynamic Tabu List is set up to make its length and construction change with search process and finally attains the purpose of improving the whole optimization. The findings proves the feasibility, effectiveness and stability of Tabu Search Algorithm.

For certain balance and positioning of electro-hydraulic servo system existing nonlinear, the active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) has many adjustable parameters which are difficult to regulate, so active disturbance rejection control with neural network (NN-ADRC) is developed in this paper. The method uses neural network self-learning ability, through a single neuron adaptive configuration parameters to complete an online self-tuning parameters, while taking advantage of RBF neural network as identifier to identify the controlled object gradient information. Simulation results show that: the controller parameters are reduced significantly, and effectively inhibit the system unbalance force disturbance and realize the accurate positioning. It also has fast response speed, no overshoot, and high steady-state accuracy.

Formation flying consists of replacing a complex and expensive conventional satellite, by a set of smaller satellites, able of carrying out the same functions with better performance and at a lower cost. Therefore, satellites in formation must precisely control their positions and orientations relative to each other in the group, as if they were a single large satellite. This need for precision rises especially when these satellites are operating in close formation. The location and the configuration of the antennas is one crucial among other factors influencing the precision of the relative position. This paper investigates the influence of the configuration of the antennas and the relative attitude on the precision of the relative position between two satellites flying in formation. The first satellite holds three transmitting antennas and the second satellite holds three receiving antennas, simulations results that changing the locations of these latter does have a minim impact on the precision of the relative position for a determined close intersatellite distance.

The compact and discriminative feature extraction is vital for infrared face recognition. This paper proposes a personalized feature selection algorithm for infrared face recognition. Firstly, LBP operator is applied to infrared face for texture information. Secondly, for each subject, a two-class training problem is constructed by one to other means. Then, based on two-class discriminative ability, we adaptively select a personalized subset of features from LBP for each subject. Finally, the nearest neighbor classifier based on chi-square distance is utilized to get final recognition result. The experimental results show the personalized feature selection is effective in useful information extraction for infrared face recognition, which outperform the state of the art methods based on LBP.

There are many nature language processing applications. A typical example is information extraction whose target is a sentence. Various rules are often used in this kind of applications. However, automated processing is not accurate enough in some cases. This is because it is easy to construct syntax rules of a sentence but difficult to semantic rules. On the other hand, the knowledge representation community paid much attention to common knowledge. It is insightful to use rules based on this sense on common things in nature language processing. Therefore, we propose an approach to combine the common knowledge and the nature language processing rules. It first applied the name entity reorganization technology and then generated rules based on a specific common knowledge database. As a result, this approach can be a framework for many (but not all) nature language processing applications. In our experimental example, this approach performed well.
