Solar Powered High Performance Switched Reluctance Motor for EV applications 用于电动汽车的高性能太阳能开关磁阻电机

This paper presents the work towards development of a high performance Switched Reluctance Machine(SRM) fed by a PV array for Electric Vehicle(EV) applications. Along with the fundamentals of the machine operation and modeling, the design of the PV fed system is also discussed. The PV array works under Maximum Power Point Tracking(MPPT) condition to power the SRM using Incremental Conductance(InC) algorithm and high performance is achieved using Direct Instantaneous Torque Control(DITC) of the SRM under motoring operation. The machine modeling is done using Ansys Maxwell 16 to obtain the characteristics. The asymmetric converter feeding SRM and the MPPT converter is designed and modelled in Matlab/Simulink environment. The working of the complete system is verified by simulation results.

Improvement of maintenance through speech interaction in cyber-physical production systems 通过语音交互改善网络物理生产系统的维护

A much discussed topic in the recent years is the interconnectedness of industrial plants in the field of Cyber-Physical Production Systems (CPPS). In the future, the data and aggregated information from various production plants will be available globally at any time. Particularly in maintenance, this could be a helpful information expansion for the maintenance staff, since maintenance information are not only available from one plant but also from several, similar plants. However, this information has to be presented to the worker in a suitable way, because especially in maintenance tasks, the worker often needs both hands, and his/her complete visual attention to the task. This paper presents an approach for a speech interaction system that exchanges data and information over a cloud-based system with a manufacturing plant. The worker exclusively interacts with the plant over wireless headphones and a microphone. The communication between the plant, the cloud, and the speech interaction system is described as well as use cases for maintenance and training. The approach was applied in a case study using a demonstrator plant with various use cases.

A new approach to model-based test case generation for industrial automation systems 工业自动化系统基于模型的测试用例生成新方法

In recent years, model-based testing (MBT) of automation systems has gained in importance. However, increasing size and complexity of manufacturing plants also lead to larger models, which again cost time and manpower for modeling tasks. An approach to solve this problem is to subdivide the overall model into several separated models of usual components of automation systems which are reusable. Therefore, we introduce the Synchronized Depth First Search (SDFS), which uses a sub-divided automaton model to generate test cases. The underlying automaton model needs to incorporate synchronous transitions in order to synchronize processes among each other and thus forming an overall model to test with.

Simulative evaluation of applying optimized support vector machines to identify the simplified ship dynamic model 应用优化支持向量机识别简化船舶动力学模型的仿真评价

Model-based simulation is a sufficient and cost-effective approach for studying and analyzing the maneuverability of ships involving the maneuvers prediction. One important foundation for ensuring its implementation is the determination of the ship dynamic model with relatively low complexity and high accuracy. This study aims at contributing to this research point from two aspects: one is the simplification of dynamic model of ships through 6 degrees of freedom (DOF) nonlinear and complex ship dynamic model based on reasonable assumptions; the other one is to identify parameters of the simplified model using support vector machines (SVM) and maneuvering data. The artificial bee colony algorithm (ABC) is used to remedy the problem of SVM about selecting optimal parameter values. For the numerical simulation study, a container ship with well-proven dynamic model is applied to generate clean and polluted maneuvering data. Comparison with the first order linear Nomoto model indicates that the simplified steering model can capture more complicated motions and shows better performance. The optimized SVM by ABC is a convenient and effective alternative for identification of ship dynamic models. It is noticeable that the higher level of measurement noise is, the worse influence on identification results is. But in some degree, the filter approach can mitigate the negative influence and in turn improve the identification results.

Real-time wireless extensions of industrial ethernet networks 工业以太网的实时无线扩展

The possibility of extending real-time Ethernet networks employed in industrial applications with wireless links can lead to several benefits in terms of cost reduction and easier deployment. However, delays and jitter introduced by both the wireless medium and the interconnection systems may degrade the network performance significantly. This paper describes the advantages introduced by the IEEE 802.11n WLAN amendment in this scenario and considers, as an example of application, its use for the wireless extension of an Ethernet Powerlink network. Different configurations are compared through experimental measurements, showing that an adequate setting of the IEEE 802.11 MAC parameters, as well as the use of a suitable rate adaptation technique, allow to achieve effective performance. Particularly, a bounded polling time can be obtained, which represents a fundamental aspect for real-time communications.

Analysis and machine-learning based detection of outlier measurements of ultra-wideband in an obstructed environment 障碍物环境中超宽带异常值测量的分析和机器学习检测

Indoor positioning technologies have been widely used in many industrial applications such as intelligent inventory management and assembly control. Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) can provide sub-metre level positioning accuracy at a distance of several dozen metres with high robustness. However, UWB measurements can be contaminated by reflected, refracted and deflected signal in practice, the contaminated measurements are outliers in data processing and degrade the positioning performance if they are not treated properly. In indoor environments, UWB signals may penetrate some structures/materials and these refracted signals are outliers in data processing for position determination. This paper investigates the statistical distribution of errors due to refracted/penetrated signals. Classification and Regression random forests are used to detect outlier measurements and apply error mitigation, respectively. Two datasets are collected to cross-validate the proposed method. The results show that the proposed method can achieve a detection accuracy of about 80%. Besides, the datasets show that rejecting detected outlier measurements and applying error mitigation can improve distance measurement accuracy by 80%.

Defining and validating similarity measures for industrial alarm flood analysis 定义和验证工业报警洪水分析的相似度量

Industrial plant operators regularly observe a high number of alarms generated in a short period of time, a phenomenon which is referred to as alarm flooding. This causes plant downtime, not only because of the repair time but also by the time needed to identify the root cause of machine failure — which is difficult during an alarm flood. Therefore, diagnosis tools that perform root cause analysis to advise plant operators can help reduce the downtime, which is a crucial issue in industry. We analyse the reproducibility and applicability of an existing approach by Ahmed et al. (2013) which is based on agglomerative hierarchical clustering where raw data in the form of alarm logs is preprocessed, floods are detected, and then clustered. The aim is, that resulting clusters represent floods that originate from the same common root cause. We extend the approach with alternative similarity measures and perform experiments regarding their effectiveness in structuring industrial alarm flood data. In our evaluation we use a real industrial use case which contains more diverse data and a larger amount of data points compared with the original study.

SOC estimation for a lithium-ion battery by designing a nonlinear observer based on an equivalent circuit model 基于等效电路模型设计非线性观测器的锂离子电池荷电状态估计

In this paper, a nonlinear observer is proposed for estimation of the State of Charge (SOC) of a Lithium-Ion battery based on an equivalent circuit model, which consist one parallel RC network. Compared with other nonlinear observers, in the proposed method the nonlinear part of the model contributes directly in determination of the observer gain, allowing the observer to better compensate for the estimation error. The asymptotic stability of the observer is proved using the Lyapunov criteria. The effectiveness of the proposed observers is verified by using simulation in MATLAB software. The simulation results show that the proposed method is effective and estimates the SOC with high accuracy.

An efficient approach for load-shared and fault-tolerant multicore shared tree multicasting 一种负载共享和容错多核共享树广播的有效方法

Multicasting can be done in two different ways: source based tree approach and shared tree approach. Shared tree approach is preferred over source-based tree approach because in the later construction of minimum cost tree per source is needed unlike a single shared tree in the former approach. However, in shared tree approach a single core needs to handle the entire traffic load resulting in degraded multicast performance. Besides, it also suffers from ‘single point failure’. In this paper, novel and efficient schemes for load shared multicore multicasting are presented. Multiple cores are selected statically, that is, independent of any existing multicast groups and also the selection process is independent of any underlying unicast protocol. Some of the selected cores can be used for fault-tolerant purpose also to guard against any possible core failures.

Energy efficiency in industry 4.0 using SDN 使用SDN实现工业4.0的能源效率

Industry 4.0 is a new concept that has emerged from the use of new technologies, which brings great improvements to industries. Consequently, several challenges have been launched for this new concept to become consolidated and will become an industry standard. Software Defined Networking (SDN) is a technology that comes with a proposal of flexibility and agility for the communication networks, which fits with the challenges of Industry 4.0, it searches for these requirements throughout the manufacturing process of its products. While industrial evolution is a worldwide trend, Energy Efficiency in industry plays a key role in environmental sustainability and economic performance of the industry. This article presents the APIs using the SDN paradigm to achieve Energy Efficiency applied to Industry 4.0. Simulation results validate and show the benefits of using SDN APIs in Industry 4.0.
