Design and Simulation of PZT based Energy Harvester Embedded in Asphalt Pavement 基于PZT的沥青路面嵌入式能量采集器设计与仿真

With the emphasis on the intelligent Transport System(ITS), it is desirable to use energy harvester from the dynamic vehicular load. As more and more sensors are now a days are embedded in the road and traffic signal supplying power is one of the biggest bottlenecks researchers are facing in implementing these idea. Our main aim in this paper is to maximize the energy harvesting with limited strain due to tyre pressure. Strain limitation objective is due to desired comfort/ balance of vehicle due to embedded PZT beneath the Pavement. Large deformation/ strain will also contribute in fuel consumption which is undesirable. We have started with the model suggested in literature and varied the cross section and geometry of the system. With the help of finite element analysis using ANSYS Workbench we have simulated different scenario with given tyre pressure of the dynamic vehicle on the road. Finally with the help of stress analysis we have recommended an optimum design of the system.

Autonomous Flight Vehicle Incorporating Artificial Intelligence 结合人工智能的自主飞行器

The integration of Artificial Intelligence with the aircraft or an Unmanned Ariel Vehicles that could automate the task of manual flight and navigation would be considered a milestone in the field of Aeronautics. The idea of an autonomous flight vehicle isn’t novel. It has been cited into various papers decades ago. In the subject of prior art, though, there have been a very few advancement in the development of such technology. The major challenge encountered by the individuals involved in the development of such a system was the integration of multidisciplinary domains specifically with the backgrounds of Computer Science and Aeronautics. The research work will contribute to the advancement in the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence to achieve a simulated autonomous flight vehicle.

Survey on Lung Cancer Detection Techniques 肺癌检测技术综述

The second leading cause for the exponential increase in the mortality rate globally is due to lung cancer. Over-consumption of tobacco and cigarette are the major reasons. Uncontrollable cell growth in lung region will affect the survival rate of humans. Manual interpretation of disease prediction might be challenging due to the exponential increase in medical reports. So, early detection of tumor from proper manifestation can be done through Computer Aided Diagnosis (CAD) techniques. In this paper, we present a comprehensive analysis of different lung cancer detection techniques for predicting the nodule as benign or malicious.

Design, Modeling and Study of Inverter Integrated Reactive Power Compensation for Isolated Rural Microgrid 孤立型农村微网逆变集成无功补偿的设计、建模与研究

Diesel/Biogas generators are generally accompanied with renewable based isolated system due to the sporadic nature of renewable resources. One of the main difficulties associated with small sized isolated rural system is voltage fluctuation due to small disturbances. The rural load mainly comprises of household lighting, agriculture pumps & equipment and small commercial/industrial blocks. The voltage fluctuation affects the performance as well as the life of the electrical equipment. In this paper an isolated rural microgrid is considered with renewable energy sources being supported by diesel generator. The renewable energy resources are hydro with induction generator and Photo Voltaic System. The system is modeled such that inverter associated with Photo Voltaic System provides reactive power compensation apart from the diesel genset. Accordingly, DC Link capacitor and Inductor associated with PV Inverter are designed. The objective of the system study is to deliver uninterrupted and reliable power supply by maintaining regulation of the voltage. The results are verified with step change in load and step change in input solar power to study the dynamic performance of the system. The modeling has been carried out in Simulink.

A Machine Learning Approach to Anaphora Resolution in Nepali Language 尼泊尔语回指消解的机器学习方法

In this paper, we attempt a machine learning (ML) approach to Anaphora Resolution (AR) system in Nepali language. It is one of the pioneering approaches in anaphora resolution using machine learning in Nepali language, which is a resource-limited language. For this work, we have developed our own data set in the standard format available in this domain. Data has been tagged with the necessary information like Parts-of-speech (POS), Named entity, Chunking information, Gender, Number, Person, etc. We divided the data for training and testing purposes in approximately 5:1 ratio and ML classifiers are used for training and testing. Results show encouraging for further progress.

Hardware Performance Analysis of Mobile-Based Augmented Reality Systems 基于移动的增强现实系统硬件性能分析

Mobile-based augmented reality (AR) systems are occupying consumer markets at a fast rate. Mobile-based AR applications are successful owing to the ease of access and good hardware that our smartphones have. However, with the increasing demand for applications, the AR systems need to be accurate and energy-efficient. State of the art hardware specifications of our smartphones allows us to perform a variety of tasks, including video screening, navigation, and browsing. Firstly, applications of augmented reality and the hardware challenges associated with them are discussed. Next, an analysis of two important hardware components - global positioning system (GPS) and battery performance is presented, both in the capacity of AR applications. It is observed that current hardware specifications are good enough for a wide range of applications except for applications that require high accuracy.

A Novel Algorithm for Shot Boundary Detection and Segmentation of Broadcast News Videos 一种新的广播新闻视频镜头边界检测与分割算法

News videos are an important means of conveying information. But the number of news broadcasted each day in a particular channel is very large and considering the number of news channels, it is a huge amount of information conveyed each day. Sorting of news videos plays a very important role in such cases to create a well-categorized database of news videos. Broadcast news video shot segmentation is one of the vital parts of sorting. This paper presents a novel algorithm that can detect the shot boundaries of news videos efficiently and perform shot segmentation accordingly. The algorithm adapts itself according to the input news video and hence is news channel independent.

Mimicking Hybrid Manipulator Humanoid Torso by Applying Vector Multiplication Using Microsoft Kinect for Xbox One 利用微软Xbox One的Kinect矢量乘法模拟混合机械手人形躯干

The study aimed to use the skeletal tracking feature of Microsoft Kinect for Xbox One for acquiring angle in mimicking hybrid manipulator humanoid torso using vector multiplication. The proponents make use of the design of a humanoid torso that enhances the workspace and bending of the humanoid torso using a hybrid manipulator designed from a previous study. The position of the user’s joint was obtained by using the Kinect’s skeletal tracking feature. Using LabVIEW, the proponents acquired the needed vector through cross product and the needed angle through dot product from the two vectors created by two points. The angles obtained were fed to the microcontroller through serial communication to convert it to signals to actuate the servo motors in the hybrid manipulator humanoid torso.
