A new ent-kauranoid diterpenoid, ent-2-β-hydroxyl-16-ene-kauran-19-oic acid (1), was isolated form the acetone extract of Hicriopteris glauca together with 9 known compounds. Their structures were elucidated by comprehensive NMR and MS analysis.

Genome-wide analysis of PHD-finger protein family in Arabidopsis thaliana. 拟南芥博士指蛋白家族的全基因组分析。

PHD-finger proteins were found universally in eukaryotes and known as key players in regulating chromatin or transcription.In animals,many PHD-finger proteins had been well studied on structure and function.Compared to animals,only a few of plant PHD-finger proteins had been characterized functionally.By both SMART and Pfam searches,70 members of the PHD-finger family were identified in Arabidopsis thaliana.Most of the PHD-finger proteins in Arabidopsis thaliana were functionally unknown.A complete overview of this family by bioinformatic approach were presented in this paper,including the gene structure,gene localization in genome,gene expression,protein motif organization,and phylogenetic relationship of each family member.These results should provide useful information for the further structural and functional studies of PHD-finger proteins.

A Comparative Study on the Pollination Mechanism of Anisodus luridus and A.carniolicoides(Solanaceae) 山莨菪与茄科山莨菪传粉机理的比较研究

Empirical studies comparing mating systems and pollination mechanisms in closely related species within one genus will help us to better understand the evolution of plant mating system.In the present study,we performed field experiments on Anisodus luridus and A.carniolicoides,attempting to explore the evolution of self-compatibility and pollinator shift in the genus Anisodus.Our results showed that both A.luridus and A.carniolicoides were fully self-compatible,but the seed number and fruit set of the netted flowers without emasculation were significantly lower than the intact control flowers subjected to open pollination,indicating the two species only had a weak ability of autonomous selfing.Seed production with supplemental pollen was greatly enhanced compared with natural flowers,suggesting pollen limitation in both species.Vespula rufarufa and Dolichovespula saxonica.were the most frequent pollinators of A.luridus and A.carniolicoides,respectively.While other floral visitors,including bumblebees,flies and ants,accounted for the minority of visitation in the two species.The number of pollen grains deposited on stigmas of intact flowers within one day was significantly higher than emasculated flowers in A.carniolicoides,but not in A.luridus.Therefore,visitations of D.saxonica to A.carniolicoides was speculated to result in selfing within flower,i.e.facilitated selfing,whereas V.rufarufa could facilitate outcrossing among flowers in A.luridus.Compared with the pollination mechanism of A.tanguticus,the putatively primitive species in Anisodus,we found self-compatibility occurred in the derived species,indicating the evolutionary transition from self-incompatibility to self-compatibility and pollinator shift during the speciation in this genus.Moreover,the unpredictable and frequent rain in alpine environment might depress pollinator activity,which could be the principal reason for pollen limitation in A.luridus and A.carniolicoides.

Effect of Exogenous Nitric Oxide Donor Sodium Nitroprusside on Stomatal Movement in Leaves of Mangrove Plant Aegiceras corniculatum 外源一氧化氮供体硝普钠对红树叶盾气孔运动的影响

The aim of the present paper was to find out a simple and easy-to-go method to observe the stomatal movement of a mangrove plant Aegiceras corniculatum. The new method was used to study the following areas, inculing the effect of exogenous nitric oxide (NO) on the leaf stomatal movement under different concentrations and different treated time, the effect of Ca2+ in the regulation of stomatal movement induced by exogenous NO, the interactional effect between NO and H2O2 in the regulationb of stomatal movement. The results suggested that the oxhide pastern print was the best way to observe stomatal movement of A.corniculatum compared with the blender method and the nail enamel print method. The stomatal closure induced by NO was associated with Ca2+ in dose dependent manner. It was also proved that a rapid stomatal closure could be co-induced by NO and H2O2 in A.corniculatum guard cells.
