The florists in Bangun Sari Lama Village are still very dependent on the traditional model of selling which requires direct interaction between the seller and the buyer. Therefore, during the Covid-19 pandemic, sales turnover decreased drastically. In fact, if florists are able to take advantage of social media this problem can be handled. The implementation of this activity aims to provide guidance to florists regarding the use of media social media and the importance of creating a special website for Bangun Sari Lama village to facilitate online sales on line. The method of implementing this activity is done offline, namely socialization and sharing questionnaire to 20 respondents. Deli Serdang is one of the largest centers in North Sumatra for cocoa commodities. Cocoa is strong life support for residents in Candi Rejo Village, Sibiru-Biru District, Deli Serdang Regency, especially for residents in the Pendawa Farmer Group. The abundance of cocoa harvest also causes an increase in the amount of cocoa husk waste. Still, some of the problems that arise cannot be overcome due to the limitations of science and technology. Until now, the abundant cocoa husk waste has just been piled up without any efficient processing. With training and socialization on making compost made from cocoa husk waste effectively and efficiently, the community and farmers in the Pendawa Farmer Group have increased their knowledge and ability to utilize cocoa shell waste as organic fertilizer independently. The use of compost made from cocoa husk waste is expected to increase soil fertility and create a bio-entrepreneurial spirit in the Pendawa Farmer Group.

The scarcity of fertilizers in Indonesia makes it difficult for farmers to find alternative fertilizers, the causes are subsidized fertilizers which are difficult to obtain, and the high cost of non-subsidized fertilizers making it burdensome for farmers. Most of the community professionals in Sungai Ular Village are farmers and the lack of availability of fertilizers and the heavy economic value of inorganic fertilizers. Based on the potential of Sungai Ular Village, Secanggang District, the raw materials for making organic fertilizer can utilize Hydrilla verticillata plants, livestock faeces and rice straw. The organic fertilizer produced can be used for traditional cultivation. The results of this community service activity, in addition to ready-to-use organic fertilizers, are horticultural crops such as kale, spinach, curly red chillies, tomatoes, basil, etc. The resulting horticultural crops are expected to increase partner agricultural yields which can increase income and support the entrepreneurial spirit of partners in optimally utilizing village potential. Community Service Activities can empower the community to realise independence and prosperity and maintain environmental sustainability by reducing the use of inorganic fertilizers (chemical fertilizers) by optimally utilizing the potential of Sungai Ular Village, Secanggang District, Langkat Regency.

Training and assistance is provided to organizations assigned by KEMENPORA (Ministry of Youth and Sports) to handle drug issues among young people, namely the Anti-Drug Youth Core Cadre Organization (KIPAN). In this training, partners are provided with basic materials (modules) on strategies for making good, correct and appropriate policy recommendations to be implemented by NGOs. Partners receive technical training on policy analysis and how to formulate policy recommendations so that this organization is able to contribute better in dealing with drug problems in North Sumatra. Thus, partners are more aware and understand about the steps that can be taken to overcome the drug problem that exists in North Sumatra. The method used in this service is the Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) method. This service has succeeded in increasing the understanding of as many as 20 training participants about making good and correct Policy Briefs.

Partner started a red ginger instant powder business during the covid-19 pandemic. Partner knowed the benefits of red ginger in increasing the body's immune power to prevent infection with the Corona virus. The service team found that partner produced red ginger instant powder manually using simple equipment. One of them was the process of extracting red ginger and other spices by squeezing the finely ground red ginger and other spices using a cloth. This made the production process ineffective and the amount of extraction results was not maximized. The manual extortion process using the cloth taked a long time and a large amount of human labor so that partner was constrained in making large quantities so that some orders are delayed. Therefore, partners had difficulty in carrying out the extraction process of red ginger, especially in large quantities. The solution offered by the service team was to utilize extracting machines according to partner needs and provide training in using red ginger extracting machines to partners. The result was that the partner became skilled at using the extracting machine in producing instant red ginger and trying to improve their business.

The Devotion Team set the title of the service to be "Improving Understanding of Pancasila and Citizenship: The Threat of Drugs for the Young Generation Dispels National Spirit in Pangkalan Mansyur Village" against the background of news of rampant drug crimes that occurred in Pangkalan Mansyur Village and a location that was registered as a problematic location regarding drugs. The socialization aims to develop the love of youth youths for the values contained in Pancasila so as to increase the concept of understanding about citizenship which in turn adds to a sense of love for the homeland. The socialization activity was also enriched by preparing members of the Medan Johor Youth Organization with the provision to become independent individuals who have positive activities by having hydroponic farming skills. The Service Team also facilitates not only hydroponic knowledge, but also equips members of the Medan Johor Youth Organization with hydroponic farming equipment. The hope is that armed with a love for the homeland and knowledge of hydroponic farming equipped with equipment, members of the Medan Johor Youth Organization can start positive activities at home and produce so that they avoid negative activities such as drug dealing.

Fashion as a part of the creative economy today can not only be worked on by people who live in urban areas but also people who live in villages, especially with the even distribution and growth of information technology in the country. People who live in the village do not always have to be farmers or workers in the agrarian sector, but also have to have job options that can be a lifestyle to continue to show their existence even though they are from the village, especially young people who choose to stay in the village. Through this service, we will provide screen printing and digital printing training, as well as provide all information about the potential and opportunities of this kind of business to young people in Bahorok Village, Bahorok District, Langkat Regency. By understanding printing techniques digitally, it is hoped that it will be able to facilitate printing in larger quantities, and of course will provide better economic benefits as well. We will also involve speakers and business actors who have succeeded in this screen printing business so that participants can directly deal with business actors and get more in-depth experience and training. The people of Bandar Setia Village experienced the impact of the implementation of PPKM due to regulations delimiting community activities. The limited agricultural land in the village also affects the fulfillment of food needs, especially vegetables. The purpose of this community service is to train the Forum Peduli Sesama Seniman Indonesia Cabang Tembung group representing the community of Bandar Setia in terms of hydroponic farming as an alternative to providing food stocks for the community in the village during the pandemic. The specific target of the training is the hydroponic model that can be made by the people of Bandar Setia village. The method used mixing counseling, training, hands-on practice, and work evaluation. Hydroponics manufacturing uses a mixing of NFT (nutrient film technique) and wick system methods. Vegetables harvested using hydroponics can be used for personal needs or sold according to the needs of the people of Bandar Setia village.

Community service for planting productive tree seedlings based on watersheds (DAS) in order to welcome world environment day, aims to socialize the importance of a good environment for life; cooperate with the village government and the Sejahtera Tani farmer group; introducing the types of productive tree seedlings; planting productive tree seedlings with the village government and the Sejahtera Tani farmer group. This community service activity was carried out in Kelambir V Village, Hamparan Perak District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province. This activity is a form of implementation of one of the tridharma of Higher Education, especially community service by the UNUSU academic community, as well as in the framework of UNUSU's participation in the effort to plant watershed-based productive seeds in order to welcome World Environment Day. The method of implementing community service is carried out in 3 stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage and the reporting stage. During the preparatory phase, socialization was carried out, determining socialization areas, identifying needs, coordinating with relevant village officials, preparing proposals and completing supporting documents. In the implementation phase, declaration is carried out, planting productive DAS-based seeds, socializing planting productive DAS-based seeds, monitoring, at the reporting stage, namely compiling a final report on community service activities. The result of this community service activity is planting productive trees around the watershed and in the gardens of farmer groups, which total 100 productive tree seeds including matoa, simpur, jamblang, duku, rambutan, longan, tamarind seeds.
