Background and objective: The Salutogenic Theory has a central element called Sense of Coherence, which measures the ability to cope of individuals in everyday situations. The objective of this study is to verify the factors associated with the nursing students’ Sense of Coherence.Methods: Analytical cross-sectional study, carried out with 199 students from an undergraduate nursing course at a public university in the city of Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil, in June 2019. A form with sociodemographic and health characteristics, and Antonovsky's Sense of Coherence Questionnaire were applied. The median of the scale score was used to rate the Sense of Coherence in higher and lower.Results: The variables age up to 21 years (p = .013), not having a job (p = .032), absence of a spouse (p = .018), concern for the future (p = .006), lack of physical activity (0.023), use of psychotropic drugs (p = .002), insomnia (0.004), severe anxiety (p = .001), and moderate and severe depression (p = .000) were associated with a lower Sense of Coherence.Conclusions: The sociodemographic and academic variables presented influence the nursing students’ Sense of Coherence, which emphasizes the need for actions aimed at the more susceptible students’ mental health.

Objective: Competent and trained nurses are essential for critical care preparedness. This study assesses the impact of an educational training program (Jahezon) on the participants' critical care knowledge by comparing their pre- and post-knowledge outcomes.Methods: This study used a quasi-experimental one-group pre-test-post-test design to examine the impact of 40 days of theoretical and practical training on 43 selected nurses from 16 hospitals located in the Hai’l Health cluster, situated in the city of Hai’l, Saudi Arabia. The training program started on November 2021, the curriculum covered a comprehensive range of critical care nursing concepts and was divided into four phases. The instrument used to assess knowledge was a 50-item multiple-choice questionnaire, which was administered as a pre-test, post-test, and a 6-month follow-up test format. The data were analyzed using SPSS v29.0.Results: The mean total scores were the highest in the follow up test (M = 9.87, SD = 2.34), followed by the post-test (M = 7.57, SD = 0.98) and the pre-test (M = 5.91, SD = 1.06), showing a statistically significant difference (F(2, 117) = 64.834, p < .001). From the pre-test to the post-test, 93% of the total scores improved. The only demographic factor that affected the test scores was gender, with female nurses scoring higher.Conclusions: The nurses' knowledge improved significantly after their participation in the critical care training program, but more research is needed to determine their actual performance in caring for critically ill patients during a pandemic.

Working while undertaking graduate education in nursing is challenging at any time. During the COVID-19 pandemic, many nurses continued to work on the frontline while completing their graduate studies. Healthcare workers, including nurses, were routinely exposed to several types of psychological trauma during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this study, we seek to generate an understanding of the psychological influence of COVID-19 on registered nurses’ (RNs’) self-efficacy and job satisfaction while commencing graduate studies in nursing and working in clinical practice during the pandemic. A qualitative descriptive design was used to explore written reflections from 72 RNs enrolled in their first Master of Nursing graduate course at an online university. The RNs’ online discussion postings related to the impact of the pandemic on nursing. Data were analysed using content and thematic analysis. Analysis revealed five overriding themes around job satisfaction and self-efficacy: level of professional involvement and guilt, communication of information and leadership, psychological and physical wellbeing, the safety of self and others, and relationships to and within the nursing profession. Overall, a strong sense of kinship contributed to job satisfaction and self-efficacy. Findings confirmed the need for so-called “aftercare” for nurses by leadership and administrators. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has been considerable on the individual nurse’s sense of self-efficacy and job satisfaction, and this is particularly noted in nurses who commenced graduate studies during the pandemic.

Objective: To analyze the scales used to measure critical thinking in undergraduate nursing students.Methods: Scoping review guided by Joanna Briggs Institute recommendations. Search carried out in November/2021 in five databases and two libraries. Descriptive data analysis.Results: Final sample had 57 articles. 91% (n = 53) adopted a validated scale to measure critical thinking in nursing students, and 9% (n = 4) combined two of them. California Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory, California Critical Thinking Skills Test, and Health Science Reasoning Test were the most used scales. Studies with beginners prevailed, and there were several contexts and research themes. Simulation and concept mapping were the most evaluated teaching strategies, and 59.6% (n = 34) identified an increase in critical thinking after the intervention.Conclusions: Nursing managers and educators have 17 validated scales available to measure critical thinking, a fundamental element of clinical practice.

Latar Belakang : Perawat adalah seseorang yang telah lulus pendidikan tinggi Keperawatan. Pendidikan perawat memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kinerja perawat. Untuk dapat mewujudkan tercapainya pelayanan yang berkualitas diperlukan adanya tenaga keperawatan yang professional, memperhatikan kaidah etik dan moral. Motivasi merupakan dorongan yang terdapat dalam diri seseorang untuk berusaha mengadakan perubahan tingkah laku yang lebih baik dalam memenuhi kebutuhanya Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan rendahnya motivasi perawat melanjutkan pendidikan S1 keperawatan di Puskesmas Wilayah Kecamatan Sungailiat tahun 2022. Metode : Jenis penelitian ini dilakukan dengan desain cross sectional. Populasi adalah seluruh perawat Diploma III yang ada di Puskesmas Sungailiat sebanyak 13 orang, Puskesmas Kenanga sebanyak 13 orang dan Puskesmas Sinar baru sebanyak 9 orang. Sampel menggunakan teknik Total Sampling atau Sampling Jenuh. Analisa data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analsis Univariat dan Analisis Bivariat. Hasil : Uji chi square sosial ekonomi (ρ-value = 0,028), dukungan keluarga (ρ-value = 0,000), beban kerja (ρ-value = 0,244) dan status perkawinan (ρ-value = 0,496). Kesimpulan : ada hubungan sosial ekonomi dan dukungan dengan rendahnya motivasi perawat melanjutkan pendidikan S1 Keperawatan di Puskesmas wilayah Kecamatan Sungailiat tahun 2022. Saran : diharapkan adanya dukungan dari atasan bagi karyawan yang mau melanjutkan pendidikan.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis korelasi pengetahuan perawat dengan kelengkapan pendokumentasian asuhan keperawatan di RS Kuningan Medical Center.. Metoda : Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan rancangan cross sectional. Populasi sebanyak 37 responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah total sampling dengan sampel berjumlah 37 responden. Analisa data bivariat dengan menggunakan uji statistik Chi Square. Hasil : Hasil penelitian 30 responden dengan pengetahuan perawat cukup sebagian besar memiliki pendokumentasian yang tidak lengkap sebanyak 28 responden (79,3%) dan dari 7 responden pengetahuan perawat baik sebagian besar memiliki pendokumentasian lengkap sebayak 5 responden (71,4%). Simpulan dan Saran : Simpulan penelitian ini tidak ada korelasi pengetahuan perawat dengan kelengkapan pendokumentasian asuhan keperawatan. Diharapkan perawat lebih meningkatkan pengetahuannya tentang pendokumentasian asuhan keperawatan.

Prevalensi gangguan tidur pelajar bervariasi mulai dari 15,3% hingga 39,2%, bergantung pada jenis gangguan tidur yang dialami. Kurangnya kepedulian terhadap masalah kualitas tidur bahkan penggunaan lampu saat tidur pun banyak dijumpai pada pelajar, dampak yang timbul akibat kualitas tidur itu sendiri pada seseorang dapat mempengaruhi kebugaran. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis Hubungan Kualitas Tidur dan Penggunaan Lampu Saat Tidur dengan kebugaran tubuh mahasiswa program studi S1 Keperawatan Kampus STIKes Kuningan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah analitik korelasional dengan menggunakan desain cross sectional. Populasi mahasiswa yang bersedia menjadi responden sebanyak 47. Sampel yang diambil menggunakan metode teknik total sampling. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar kuesioner dan daftar checklist. Uji statistic yang dilakukan secara univariat dan bivariat menggunakan Chi Square. Hasil penelitian hubungan antara kualitas tidur dengan Kebugaran Tubuh dengan nilai p-value 0,000.< a= 0,05, dan hubungan antara penggunaan lampu saat tidur dengan Kebugaran Tubuh dengan p-value 0.975. > a= 0,05. Simpulan hasil penelitian menunjukan ada hubungan antara kualitas tidur dengan Kebugaran Tubuh mahasiswa program studi S1 Keperawatan Kampus STIKes Kuningan Tahun 2022, dan tidak ada hubungan antara penggunaan lampu saat tidur dengan Kebugaran Tubuh mahasiswa program studi S1 Keperawatan Kampus STIKes Kuningan Tahun 2022. Melalui penelitian ini diharapkan responden dapat mengetahui penggunaan lampu saat tidur yang baik dan mengatasi kualitas tidur agar berkualitas baik sehingga bisa menjadi salah satu solusi untuk mengembalikan kebugaran tubuh pada mahasiswa.

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis Hubungan Kualitas Tidur dan Penggunaan Lampu Saat Tidur dengan kebugaran tubuh mahasiswa program studi S1 Keperawatan Kampus STIKes Kuningan.\u0000Jenis penelitian ini adalah analitik korelasional dengan menggunakan desain cross sectional. Populasi mahasiswa yang bersedia menjadi responden sebanyak 47. Sampel yang diambil menggunakan metode teknik total sampling. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar kuesioner dan daftar checklist. Uji statistic yang dilakukan secara univariat dan bivariat menggunakan Chi Square. \u0000Hasil penelitian hubungan antara kualitas tidur dengan Kebugaran Tubuh dengan nilai p-value 0,000.< a= 0,05, dan hubungan antara penggunaan lampu saat tidur dengan Kebugaran Tubuh dengan p-value 0.975. > a= 0,05.\u0000Simpulan hasil penelitian menunjukan ada hubungan antara kualitas tidur dengan Kebugaran Tubuh mahasiswa program studi S1 Keperawatan Kampus STIKes Kuningan Tahun 2022, dan tidak ada hubungan antara penggunaan lampu saat tidur dengan Kebugaran Tubuh mahasiswa program studi S1 Keperawatan Kampus STIKes Kuningan Tahun 2022. Karies gigi merupakan masalah kesehatan yang relatif banyak ditemukan pada anak. Karies gigi mengakibatkan dampak kesehatan serius jika tidak segera diatasi sepertihalnya gangguan pertumbuhan. Karies gigi diduga dipengaruhi beberapa faktor yang perlu dilakukan penelitian lanjutan. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui faktor mana saja yang berhubungan dengan karies gigi pada anak. Penelitian menggunakan jenis penelitian analitik dengan desain penelitian cross sectional. Populasinya adalah balita dengan sampel sebanyak 40 responden. Tekhnik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu kuisioner yang sudah dilakukan uji validitas. Data diuji menggunakan analisis univariat menggunakan distribusi frekuensi dan uji bivariat menggunakan uji chi square. Hasil penelitian didapatkan ada hubungan antara kebiasaan makan makanan kariogenik (p=0,005), ada hubungan perilaku minum susu formula (p=0,000), tidak ada hubungan antara jenis kelamin (p=0,675) dan tingkat ekonomi orang tua (p=0,991) dengan kejadian karies gigi pada anak. Simpulan penelitian ini yaitu faktor kebiasaan makan makanan kariogenik dan perilaku minum susu formula berhubungan dengan kejadian karies gigi. Sedangkan faktor tingkat ekonomi orangtua dan jenis kelamin tidak ada hubungan. Disarankan bagi orangtua untuk selektif dalam memberikan jenis makanan yang aman bagi pertumbuhan gigi anak

Gastritis merupakan peradangan yang mengakibatkan pembengkakan mukosa lambung sampai terlepasnya epitel mukosa superficial yang menjadi penyebab terpenting dalam gangguan saluran pencernaan. Gastritis ditandai dengan perut kembung, nyeri ulu hati, mual dan muntah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat pengetahuan ibu dengan perilaku pencegahan pada gastritis di Kelurahan Cipari. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel dalam penelitian di Kelurahan Cipari berjumlah 88 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah Purposive Sampling yaitu 88 orang. Pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner, kemudian di analisis univariat dengan menggunakan distribusi frekuensi dan bivariat menggunakan Chi-Square dengan standar (0,05). Hasil analisis univariat menunjukan bahwa gambaran tingkat pengetahuan di Kelurahan Cipari mendapatkan pengetahuan baik ada 46 responden (52,3%), dan memiliki perilaku pencegahan sedang yaitu sebanyak (87,5%) atau 77 responden. Keberhasilan pemasangan infus pada anak saat menjalani hospitalisasi dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor diantaranya yaitu perilaku caring perawat. Tujuan penelitian mengetahui hubungan antara perilaku caring perawat berbasis teori Jean Watson dengan keberhasilan prosedur infus pada anak pra sekolah di Rumah Sakit Umum Kuningan tahun 2022. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi dan sampel berjumlah 38 perawat anak dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu total sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan lembar observasi dan analisis data menggunakan uji Chi Square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar perilaku caring baik (84,2%), perilaku caring cukup (13,2%) dan perilaku caring kurang (2,6%). Adapun keberhasilan dalam prosedur infus sebagian besar berhasil (97,4%) dan tidak berhasil dalam prosedur (2,6%). Hasil analisis bivariate dengan uji Chi Square diketahui nilai p=0,000 (0,000 <0,05) artinya terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara perilaku caring perawat menurut teori Jean Watson dengan keberhasilan prosedur infus pada anak pra sekolah.
