The present competitive nature of academic environment has posed serious challenges before higher educational institutions to be effective and relevant in attaining academic effectiveness. Higher educational institutions that cannot continuously manage and sustain change have less chance of contributing towards nation's growth and development. The success factor of higher educational institutions is largely depending on the extent to which they can emerge as a learning organisation (LO). Educational Institutions can become as a LO's by playing a key role in creation of human capital through transforming of knowledge and developing the competencies and capabilities of students. In this regard, role of teachers act as a vital factor in nurturing the talent and developing the potential of students. Teachers act as a leader, mentor, guide and facilitator by inspiring the students and helping them to develop and grow. In this connection, this paper is aimed to study the perception of students taken from two universities in within the state of J&K towards their teacher's transformational leadership and organisation learning. This paper will also make an attempt to analyze the relationship between teachers transformational leadership style in creating LO. Moreover, this paper will also make an attempt to examine the effect of transformational leadership on LO. The findings of the study revealed that students have a favourable attitude towards their teacher's transformational leadership and LO. The results of the study also highlighted that there exists a positive relationship between transformational leadership elements and LO and it is also indicated that transformational leadership influences the organisational learning of sample select institutions. Based on the findings, it is suggested that teachers need to further strengthen its transformational leadership in making their institutions more effective and result oriented.

Employee Connect is a major thrust area to keep any resource meaningfully engaged. Employees having strong connection are productive and positively contribute for business growth. While many progressive organisations are implementing Employee Connect Programmes, it is equally important to measure the effectiveness of such initiatives at sustained periodic interval and address the gap areas. Through this paper, the researchers have attempted to find out the level of connect of a group of employees in five areas of connect: vision and goals, company identity, culture and climate, leadership and peers through an empirical study. This study has highlighted the difference in the level of connect between executives and non-executives and also between male employees and female employees in the above five areas of connect.

The study uses data from the responses of a group of young university professionals to examine the evaluation of a research training programme from the trainee perspectives. The analysis shows that 13 items that were used to evaluate the programme can be represented by only two factors, one of which is related to the content of the programme and the other with the methods of the programme. A hierarchical cluster analysis of the data divides the subject space into two categories, one technically sound and the other not quite so, suggesting the importance of designing a training programme based on the backgrounds of the participants.
