This study aimed to build an applied model on the methodology of investigative journalism in the Arab world. To achieve this goal, this study followed the methodology of in-depth analysis of interviews via e-mail with ten Arab journalists interested in investigative journalism, whether those who practiced investigative reporting or received training in this field. This study is significant because it draws the attention of researchers and academics to the need for adopting a scientific methodology for investigative journalism. In addition, it could be turned into a part of a broader research track to develop Arab investigative journalism methodology. Based on the analysis of the interviewees’ answers, these steps can be listed as follows: Finding an original idea, writing the hypothesis, preparing a solid systematic action plan to prove the hypothesis of the investigation, conducting field work, producing the investigative report whether written or televised, and finally publishing the report.

In the present reality, the stability of the Caucasus region is essential for the correct and democratic development of the post-Soviet area countries. The press reflects the reality of what is happening, therefore, studying its quality and content always gives an opportunity to draw the adequate conclusion.Goal of the research is to determine to what extent the Caucasian (in particular, Georgian) press missed the path of its natural development due to appearing in the Soviet reality. What was the pre-Soviet and post-Soviet Georgian press like? The research was conducted on the basis of a comparative analysis of the content of the National Democratic Party newspaper “Sakartvelo” (Georgia) (1918) and the modern free public-political newspaper “Kviris Palitra” (2022).Before the forced unification of the Transcaucasian region into the Soviet Union, the local press was developing democratically. There were party newspapers, government and opposition publications. In modern reality, in the post-Soviet space, in the conditions of freedom of the press, newspapers show the tendency of total tabloidization. Irrelevant, unverified and biased information is often published. As a result of the research, it was determined that the pre-Soviet press was of high quality and developed democratically, and the Soviet experience had such a negative impact that in the post-Soviet reality, the Transcaucasian press did not have three decades to return to its natural development path.

The popularity of Douyin (known as TikTok overseas) could provide additional mental health information services to Chinese women. However, the factors that influence women to seek mental health information services in Douyin are still understudied. The study applied the Comprehensive Model of Information Seeking (CMIS) to Chinese women's mental health information seeking behaviors on Douyin to examine this. The study used a questionnaire (N=505), and the data analysis was conducted using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). SmartPLS 4.0 was the primary data analysis technology. Results showed that direct experience, beliefs, salience, and characteristics of mental health information could significantly affect the utility of mental health information on Douyin. In addition, utility, social support, and characteristics directly affect Chinese women's mental health information seeking. Moreover, utility partially mediates the relationship between direct experience, beliefs, salience, characteristics, and mental health information seeking. Rather than targeting specific diseases or pan-health information, this study demonstrates the possibility of applying CMIS to mental health information seeking. This insight could contribute to Douyin and government health interventions to better meet the mental health information needs of Chinese women.

Chinese opera is one of the important art forms in Chinese traditional culture that has a long history and rich forms of expression. Media integration in Chinese opera broadcasting refers to the combination of traditional opera art forms with modern broadcasting technologies to meet the communication needs and technological development trends of contemporary society. This study investigated the state of media development based on the media ecology theory. This study explored media integration in Chinese opera broadcasting using case study methodology to describe multimedia communication methods adopted by the broadcasting stations to increase the listening rate. Study subjects were three Chinese opera radio programs. The research results show that Chinese Opera broadcasting has begun to use various media technologies to carry out media integration development, inject new vitality into traditional art forms, and increase the appeal to contemporary audiences. The research also found that with the continuous progress of technology, Chinese Opera broadcasting will have greater space for development in the future and bring better listening experience to the audience.

The years 2020-2022 experienced a number of world-shifting events, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, a global economic recession, the racial justice movement, the US presidential election, and extreme climate conditions. Since no social phenomenon can avoid being represented in language, these episodes have influenced the language system, language use and discursive practices. The English linguistic landscape has not been spared the impact of the aforementioned events. The article focuses on analysing the meaning and formation of new coinages in the English language that reflect the changes in society within the specified timeframe. The data used for this study were collected from 2020-2022 updates to online dictionaries which include new words, revised versions of existing entries and new word suggestions. The research data were analysed both in qualitative and quantitative terms. The study singled out five lexical categories of neologisms based on the thematic criterion: 1) discrimination, 2) the influence of famous people, 3) climate change, 4) lifestyles during the COVID-19 outbreak, 5) the business world and employment. The classification manifests that these coinages have become integrated into the English language as part of everyday use for social and communicative purposes. The research findings show that the most productive word formation processes that contribute to the creation of the selected neologisms include compounding, blending, and compounding + affixation.

The advent of the fourth industrial revolution has increased the application of artificial intelligence in various marketing related activities. Organisations are increasingly using artificial intelligence through virtual agents to aid and facilitate interactions with consumers. Clearly, virtual agents need to be capable of fulfilling customer needs. However, it raises the question of whether they should be cold and unfeeling or should imitate the most innate human qualities. This research therefore set out to examine what impact humanness, perceived agency, trust, and emotionality have on customer satisfaction in interactions with virtual agents, or, more specifically, AI chatbots. A quantitative research design was employed in the study. Data were collected by using a survey questionnaire and a total of 207 respondents were obtained. Data were analysed using IBM SPSS 28, where a linear regression was performed. The results indicate that humanness and perceived agency were significant predictors of customer satisfaction. On the other hand, emotionality and trust were not significant predictors. The results of this research have theoretical and practical implications for both practitioners and researchers.

This study expounded on methods, approaches, and strategies for aligning translation curricula with technological enhancements in the effort to train translators who are good to function in the AI-driven translation industry. The study sample consisted of 83 university lecturers in translation studies and 151 artificial intelligence experts from ten Jordanian universities. The study was carried out during the academic year 2022-2023. Moreover, the study design is a survey approach, and the strategy of the research is quantitative. Data was collected using a questionnaire and analysis was conducted using relevant descriptive statistics tools, including the percentile values of the Likert scale, the mean, and the standard deviation. In addition, the findings generally indicate that task-based approach, team-based strategy, blended learning, and reflective system are the main pedagogical strategies and teaching techniques that work optimally for incorporating AI-based translation technologies into translation curricula. Similarly, the findings generated from the data analysis further suggest that the main strategies to ensure alignment of translation curriculum with technological advancements are careful designing of specific lessons for technology in translation, formation of partnerships between industry players (translation industry leaders and AI experts), and translation curriculum designers, continuous review of the curriculum, and inclusion of creativity and critical thinking for the students. Finally, it is concluded that translation curriculum designers must always review the translation curriculum, partner with translation industry leaders and AI experts, and integrate critical thinking and creativity into the translation curriculum system. This is to ensure that the trained translators can function effectively in the AI-driven translation industry.
