Analysis of Market Trends Within the Romanian Silk Industry 罗马尼亚丝绸行业市场趋势分析

According to the scientific literature, sericulture is the science with its focus on the silkworm rearing process, as well as the processing of silk and silk derived products. As a rural economic activity, sericulture is being usually, at small scale, being given a cottage industry character. The main goal of the current paper is to assess the potential of the Romanian silk value chain trough the point of view given by the value chain analysis perspective. Main elements used in the current research are represented by the comparative analysis of the values of imports, exports, trade balance and national production of silk and silk derived products in the following period of 20012018. The study will help highlight the potential for development within the sericulture national value chain highlighting the entry points in the value chain and identifying new internal and external markets.

Contribution Concerning the Behaviour Knowledge before Natural Swarming in Honeybees (Apis mellifera carpathica, Linnaeus) 关于蜜蜂自然交配前行为知识的贡献(Apis mellifera carpathica,Linnaeus)

In this study we followed the way in which evolves the behaviour of some honeybee families (Apis mellifera carpathica, Linnaeus), maintained in vertical beehives (modified Dadant type), in conditions of stationary bee keeping, having in view the natural queen cell’s build rhythm after the second acacia tree harvest (Robinia pseudoacacia L.) in Jucu area of Cluj County. There were taken into observation 20 biological units with queen bees of different ages. It was monitored the development rhythm of natural queen cells, which are in attendance by the working bees, and to put into evidence the swarming instinct strength, so in bee keeping practice to be known and to be avoided the natural swarming. The determination of occupied surfaces with covered brood and larval was effected with the Netz framework. The aim of our study was to understand how the swarming in honeybees occurs. By detailed observation, we want to describe and to explain the behaviour of honeybees before the swarming process. The obtained results are quantified in absolute values and expressed graphically in relative values, but in the next three apicultural years (2020, 2021 and 2022), the experiment will be repeated for a variance analysis, which will provide a statistical assurance. We hope that these data will give contribution for the apicultural practice, keeping attention on queen bees’ importance during active season and on careful supervision on development rhythm of the honeybee units during the natural swarming.

Varroa Destructor and the Sustainability of Apis Mellifera - an Overview 灭蟑器与蜜蜂的可持续性——综述

Varroa destructor is a parasitic mite that represents a major global threat for the Western honeybee Apis mellifera. This parasite managed to switch from its natural host the Eastern honeybee, A. cerana, and within a few decades, it spread among A. mellifera populations around the world. Today beekeepers are using a variety of different acaricides to keep the parasite population under control. However, for many of these substances, the parasite evolved resistance asking for the development of novel compounds. Hence the treatment is less suited as a sustainable tool in honeybee health; consequently, other alternative options are needed, and breeding of Varroa resistant honeybees have been suggested as a more sustainable solution. Here we reviewed the successful efforts and the apicultural procedures needed to be implemented to achieve resistant honeybees. We also describe the underlying resistance mechanisms and discuss the benefits of breeding within regional populations, considering the biodiversity aspects of A. mellifera.

Sperm is a zootechnical production that is harvested, controlled, processed and used, within a well-defined technological stream.Biotechnological intensification of breeding to increase birth and prolificity in zootechnics requires complex control of spermatic production on scientific bases in accordance with current legislation and compliance with national and international standards. In this regard, complex control of sperm production, regardless of its origin, is required by performing ordinary and special spermograms. In the modern technological flow of artificial cattle insemination, processing by dilution is an essential step with obvious zooeconomic implications, because it greatly increases the number of usable doses obtained from an ejaculate, increases the possibility of insemination a much bigger number by larger females, directly contributing to increased male selection pressure.

Preliminary Characterization of the Probiotic Properties of a Bacterial Strain for Used in Monogastric Nutrition 单胃营养用菌株益生菌特性的初步研究

This study aimed to evaluate some probiotic properties of Bacillus subtilis ATCC 6051a. The phenotypic profile, resistance to pH by simulated gastric juice (pH 2 and 3), bile salts by simulated intestinal fluid, survivability (%), heat and antibiotics tolerance were investigated. The strain is a Gram-positive, rod-shaped bacteria, arranged in short chains or in small irregular pairs with the ability to produce spores. Good viability at pH 2 and 3, with a survival of more than ≥80%, was found. In the presence of bile salts 0.3%, over 4 h, the strain exhibited a survival ≥85%. At 80°C, for 120 min., the strain showed good growth (9.04 log CFU/ml). Results were sensitive to most antibiotics, with a highly susceptible (between 16 – 25 mm) to erythromycin, clindamycin, amoxicillin, chloramphenicol, ciprofloxacin, amikacin and kanamycin. The strain was found to be sensitive to vancomycin, gentamicin, and tetracycline. The present research demonstrated that Bacillus subtilis ATCC 6051a can survive under gastrointestinal conditions, which involves them to future in vitro and in vivo probiotic studies.

Assessing the Current State of Curl Type Improvement for Karakul of Botoşani Breed in Relation to the Color Variety 与彩色品种相比,boto<e:1>品种卡拉库尔卷曲型改良现状评价

The curl’s form and type has always been an important objective of improving the Karakul of Botoşani sheep because some traits such as length, degree of closure, width and height are reflected in an original way over the general aspect of the pelt, influencing the aesthetic and commercial value of them. In pelt’s performance-specific control activities, for quality analysis is insisted mainly on the main traits that influence the expression with a certain type or curl form. In order to create conditions for genetic expression of the desired curl shape, it is necessary to follow the improvement of the following parameters: length, height, width, degree of closure, circumferential direction, contour and layout of the pelt surface curls. The used method in the assessment of the objectives was based on the technical norms specified in Section 1.4 and 1.5 of the MADR Order no. 22 / 20.01.2006, and the statistical processing of the data was based on the use of S.A.V.C. The assessment of the type of curls in long and medium tubes shows a considerable improvement in this character since the type was identified in 65.11% of cases in 2005 and increased to 66.66% in 2015. On the respective interval, the proportion of the desired lambs increased by more than 1.5%, the difference being statistically significant for p<0.01. The proportion of lambs where the curl was predominantly of the flattened type and with a low degree of closure, respectively wave or smooth, was kept within relatively constant limits placed around 20%, with relatively reduced variations from one generation to the next.

The study was carried out with one summer-old Silurus glanis juveniles, having the mean size 23.04±2.05 cm and weight 73.84±19.12 g, reared in recirculating water condition, in order to assess the impact of feeding level on growth performances and body size variation of fish. Two feeding levels were tested (R1=1.5% BW/day and R2=2.5% BW/day), in duplicate, during 6 weeks, and the biomass gain (BG), feed conversion ratio (FCR), specific growth rate (SGR), protein efficiency ratio (PER), morphometric relationship between length-weight (LWR) and coefficient of variation (CV) were assessed. Data revealed that the overall mean weight of the biomass was doubled during the trial, from 14.92 kg to 31.17 kg, and the body growth significantly increases with the increment of the feeding rate (13.48 kg in R1 and 17.70 kg in R2), underlying the good potential of the species, at this life stage, for fast-growing under intense conditions. The calculated SGR in R1 was 1.43%/day and in R2, significantly higher, as 2.05 %/day, for the almost similar values of FCR (0.74 g/g) and PER (2.50 g/g) recorded between the treatments.

Application of Rose Bengal Test and ELISA in Meat Juice for Monitoring of Brucellosis among Cattle Carcasses at Erbil City, Iraq 玫瑰孟加拉试验和ELISA在肉汁中的应用监测伊拉克埃尔比勒市牛胴体布鲁氏菌病

Brucellosis is a global zoonotic bacterial disease. It is also an ever-increasing public health concern, particularly in endemic regions such as Kurdistan region in Middle East. Samples of meat juice were screened for anti-Brucella antibodies via Rose Bengal Test (RBT) and ELISA from January to June 2018. Bacteriological isolation of Brucella sp. from meat samples was also performed. The overall prevalence of bovine brucellosis is 7.7%, 6.6%, and 4.9% by RBT, ELISA, and culture-based test respectively. Based on sensitivity and specificity, ELISA outperforms RBT in comparison to culture results as the gold standard test. Nonetheless, both tests showed good efficiency in comparison to culture approach. In terms of temporal changes of brucellosis rate, spring progress is strongly associated (r²=0.96) with increase in seroprevalence. In conclusion, the prevalence of bovine brucellosis in Erbil city is alarming. Countermeasures should be taken to mitigate the economic losses and transmission to human.

Evaluating some Quality Parameters of a Surface Water Source by Applying Simple Treatment Processes 应用简单处理工艺评价地表水水质参数

The purpose of the research was to identify the most convenient treatment applied to a surface water source which is permanently under the influence of contamination, in order to reduce organic matter, temporary hardness and TNG/ml water. Following the sedimentation process, temporary hardness values are close to those of the control samples (raw water) but, reductions and extremely significant differences (*** P <0.001) were found after coagulation. The same, extremely significant differences are found in the CCOMn parameter after the same process, coagulation. Applying just a single treatment like: sedimentation, coagulation of raw water without being followed by disinfection does not guarantee the removal or reduction of the total number of germs in water. Disinfection with UV dose (3.40-3.88 mj/cm2) of control samples indicates a significant reduction in bacterial load depending on exposure time, with the best values obtained at the 30 minute exposure. The same positive results were obtained from samples subjected to sedimentation where, compared to the initial values (4159.2±1860.0 TNG/ml water), bacterial load is reduced by 78-99.82%. In 60% of samples coagulated and after that exposed to 30 minutes of UV irradiation, was found 0 TNG / ml water. In conclusion, the best option for reducing TNG/ml water is coagulation using alum, followed by UV disinfection for 30 minutes.

Does Genetic Engineering Influence the Nutritional Value of Plums? Case Study on Two conventional and One Genetically Engineered Plum Fruits 基因工程会影响李子的营养价值吗?两种常规李和一种转基因李的研究

Plums are low-calorie fruits with a low glycaemic index score. Prunus domestica L. is one of the tree fruits threatened by Plum pox potyvirus (PPV), a quarantine disease that causes fruit loss to plums and other stone fruits. HoneySweet is a plum tree created to be resistant to this virus. Beside genetical determinations, chemical composition and nutritional value are important for a future acceptance in the cultivation of this type of fruit trees. Two conventional (Renclod Althan and Stanley) and one genetically engineered (HoneySweet) plum fruits were evaluated for the nutritional value determination. The analyzed samples showed nutritionally valuable features. HoneySweet variety had a balanced content of individual carbohydrates. The total lipid content had values quite close to the HoneySweet and Stanley varieties, far superior to Renclod Althan variety. HoneySweet transgenic plum had the highest total protein content. Also, HoneySweet variety is distinguished by a balanced protein and lipid content. By comparing the three analyzed varieties from the perspective of the most important physic-chemical nutrients (carbohydrates, proteins and lipids), the highest nutritional value was registered in Stanley variety, closely followed by HoneySweet, and then by Reine Claude d’Althan.
