Responsabilidad social corporativa y resultado financiero: evidencia sobre la doble dirección de la causalidad en el sector de las Cajas de Ahorros 企业社会责任与财务结果:储蓄行业因果关系双向的证据

In contrast with other financial institutions in Spain, Saving Banks play a social function as well as a financial function. Considering this fact, and the limited evidence up to date, our paper aims to make an in-depth study of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)-financial performance relationship in this sector. More specifically, the main goal is to analyze such a relationship in both directions, trying to overcome the major limitations of previous studies. After employing different panel data methods (1996-2006), results showed a negative interactive relationship between CSR, measured as «obra social» — a CSR practice that incurs a cost for the Saving Banks — and financial performance, measured as ROA (return on assets) and ROE (return on equity). Consequently, results support the negative synergy hypothesis in Spanish Saving Banks.

Validez de la información financiera en los procesos de insolvencia. Un estudio de la pequeña empresa española 破产程序中财务信息的有效性。对西班牙小企业的研究

In this paper we propose a dual purpose, first raised the possibility that this crisis has unevenly affected the motivation for companies to fail, and moreover, as a secondary objective, we try to check the validity of certain models prediction in a context of strong variation caused by the current economic crisis.

To this end, the financial information initially submitted two samples of small business financial data to various statistical tests reveal the change of accounting information in two stages, a lack of crisis and another to the current financial crisis. Then apply the models to predict paths selected samples before and after the crisis, to determine their predictive ability in both contexts.

Finally we conclude that the current crisis does not differ, attending to the behavior of the principal managerial variables, of other previous crises there being revealed the validity of the models of prediction of the managerial bankruptcy.

The present uses a team level and multi-domain analysis to offer a better understanding about how could leadership and climate combine to make teams more innovative. Data from 98 teams show the effects for different leadership domains — related to the leader, to the followers, and to the relationships between leader, team members and co-workers — on the generation of a climate for innovation. Specifically our results show a positive relationship between innovative expectations and the quality of the relationships and the generation of a climate for innovation. At the same time, we also show that a climate for innovation facilitates higher innovative team outputs. Additionally, theoretical and practical implications for differences between individual and team level effects are discussed.

Red de cooperación institucional de investigación en dirección de empresas en España en torno a la revista CEDE: 1998-2010 西班牙企业管理研究机构合作网络围绕CEDE杂志:1998-2010

The paper analyzes the dynamics, from 1998 to 2010, of the institutional cooperation network of the scientific community researching the management field in Spain through the journal Cuadernos de Economía y Dirección de la Empresa (CEDE). Both the scientific output and the degree of centrality of each institution are measured and analyzed. The study also covers the way in which the level of betweenness centrality of the institutions involved in the network influenced the increase in scientific output during the development and progress of the academic community. Finally, the paper presents the ranking of the top 10 universities in terms of betweenness centrality.

Perceived community support and relationship quality are appropriate means to explain the success of lasting relationships between social-network sites and their members. In particular, community participation and affective support from other members foster community commitment. Our research also proposes the importance of non-economic satisfaction and effective trust. The Partial Least Squares technique is used to establish the structural model's predictive power. The research showed that Tuenti is an online environment in which community commitment is mainly strengthened via community participation and satisfaction. Furthermore, routinised behaviours predispose members to a higher influence of community participation on community commitment —reducing the main effect of affective support and trust.

The objectives of this study are firstly, to analyze the return performance of sustainable firms quoted on the Spanish stock market over the 2001-2010 period. Secondly, we compare risk exposure for sustainable and conventional firms. Thirdly, we analyze the abnormal profits that may be obtained with a zero cost trading strategy based on being long in sustainable firms and short in conventional firms. Finally, we study the sustainable policies effects on stock return cross variations. These results are especially relevant for institutional and individual investors, for academics, and the professional managers of these companies.

The literature on diffusion has shown that, for some firms, the adoption of a technology can take place many years after the beginning of the diffusion process, or it can even never take place. Our objective in this paper is to provide evidence that firm's different access to information conditions the probability of technology adoption. We identify two mechanisms through which a given firm could obtain information on the existence and profitability of the technology: foreign activities and collaboration agreements. Our findings have implications for the study of technology diffusion and for the explanation of differences in firm's resource endowments.

La investigación en recursos humanos en España de 2001 a 2010: ¿la década prodigiosa? 2001 - 2010年西班牙人力资源研究:惊人的十年?

The article studies Spanish articles on 67 covering human resource management topics in order to analyze the evolution of the research in human resource management conducted in Spain between 2001 and 2010. Our results show a strong increase in the number of Spanish articles published in the management area, and in particular in human resource management. This growth is larger than that found for the four larger European countries during the same period. This larger presence of Spanish research in human resource management journals has come together with a slight improvement in the quality of the outlets where articles have seen the light. The paper has also identified other characteristics of the research conducted by human resource management Spanish scholars during this decade, such as the predominance of quantitative analysis and the scant collaboration between researchers from different universities.

Integrating trust and personal values into the Technology Acceptance Model: The case of e-government services adoption 技术接受模型中信任与个人价值的整合:以电子政务服务采用为例

The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) is considered one of the best frameworks to understand technology-related adoptions that can be extended and adapted to the different features of many diverse situations. This work analyzes the adoption of e-government services and proposes that trust and personal values contribute to better understand such adoption. Specifically, this study proposes an integration of trust into the TAM, due to the online context characteristics (i.e., uncertainty). In addition, since these services are provided to the whole citizenry, two personal values very much related to e-government advantages (citizens’ time consciousness and environmental concern) are proposed as moderators of the aforementioned relationships. Results reveal the mediating role of trust into the TAM framework which is confirmed by a rival models analysis. Besides, citizens’ personal values moderate the influence of some antecedents of the intention to use e-government services, which suggests some interesting implications for public administration strategic marketing.

This research takes a relational approach on the entrepreneurial behavior of a firm and analyzes the influence of knowledge acquisition through inter-firm relationships on the entrepreneurial orientation. It introduces a new variable, second order social capital, to explain how knowledge acquisition leads to higher levels of entrepreneurial orientation. The results of the empirical study on a sample of small and medium enterprises from the Information and Communications Technology sector in Spain confirm the hypothesized indirect influence of knowledge acquisition on the entrepreneurial orientation and the mediating effect of second order social capital.
