In this article the author analyze the most important ideas of Machiavelli on diplomacy, in order to demonstrate how he must be considered one of the most important precursors of the study and analysis of modern diplomacy. From his perspective, it was a parallel process or perhaps an integral part of the Renaissance, which, Machiavelli not only experienced in a vitally way but also professionally, and gave expression to this concept in some of his brief political writings and also relevant ideas and reflections in his greatest political works.

This paper aims to analyze and compare some of the powers of Latin American presidents to know to what extent a concentration or dispersion of power has occurred. In some countries, executive prerogatives have remained almost unchanged favoring a concentration of power that ends up reproducing its pre-eminence in the political regime. This analysis was drawn from the consultation of different existing constitutions of the region, the cut was until 2014.

In this article the author answers the question of who gain political advantage with independent candidates and legislative re election at the federal level. The hypothesis is that interest groups with great economic power would possess this advantage, rather than citizens. And gives one example, the post of President of the Republic, which would be the most representative figure to define that stakeholders would have the economic capacity to promote their own candidates and use them as a bargaining chip in closed elections such as the one which took place in july of 2012.

The author notes that the objective of this text is related to the didactic nature of the dissemination of knowledge. This article presents a study on the consistency of the electoral alliances in Argentina between 1983 and 2011. From two actions: first, locating empirically the phenomenon; and second, knowing the level of consistency that the parties have had in their alliance policy in the different electoral processes that occurred during the period. The proposal devotes a special section to the Justicialist Party (PJ) and the Radical Civic Union (ucr) for their systemic importance.

The text argues on the absence of effectiveness of Mexican politics regarding the environment and the ecology. At the same time the text highlights the existence of a unique party that concentrates the environmental and ecological discourse within the Mexican party system, and how this has not been enough to turn the green agenda into a priority in Mexican politics.
