Context
This article proposes a psychodynamic approach to MRKH syndrome, designating an absence of uterus and vagina, a rare congenital malformation which concerns one in 4000 female births. It proposes to identify, from a qualitative perspective, some of the issues raised by the nature of this medical pathology and the specificity of its treatment, as well as their repercussions on sexuality in connection with the adjustments of sexual identity, based on a case study.
Objectives
The aim is to show how the bodily obstacle to penetrative sexuality, caused by the nature of the syndrome, will be treated on a somatic level and in what way these protocols, associated with the issues raised by the pathology, will impact the way to live sexuality.
Method
Data collection is based on individual clinical research interviews between the young woman concerned by the case and the clinical psychologist. The article occasionally refers to the author's work on the same theme, especially a previous article dealing with the subject in a both qualitative and quantitative approach.
Results
This study makes it possible to identify in this case the recourse to sexuality with an addictive tendency which would reinforce the status of a “complete” woman with a strong reparative value for injured feminine identity. The over-investment of the “erotic pole” of the female personality attempts to rehabilitate the libidinal dimension of the genital area affected by the issues of lack, incompleteness and overwhelming pain, with benefits on the experience of the gender identity.
Interpretations
This study allows us, beyond the specific context of the syndrome, to consider the importance of intersubjectivity in the capacity of transforming the traumatic bodily experience. It also poses new ways to think about the appropriation of the sexual body in and beyond the logic of repetition, and to consider the question of the investment (potentially fetishized) of a transplanted organ and its appropriation on a psychological level. It would therefore be interesting to treat these themes in the context of other somatic clinics.

This doctoral research explores the experiences of women with intellectual disabilities living in French medico-social institutions. Grounded in clinical psychology, feminist, and intersectional approaches, it highlights the systemic and gendered violence embedded in institutional life. Through a qualitative study, the research reveals intense control over residents’ autonomy, particularly regarding sexuality and reproductive rights. Non-consensual contraception is often used as a tool of social control, echoing coercive sterilization practices. The study also uncovers how women resist institutional oppression through subtle acts of autonomy. It calls for a profound transformation of institutional practices, professional training, and the full recognition of disabled women's sexual and reproductive rights within feminist struggles for equality and inclusion.

Context
This article discusses a transdisciplinary research project, rooted in the fields of psychoanalysis and literature, aimed at exploring the psychological processes involved in the reception of the stage adaptation of the play Chienne, which addresses intrafamilial and incestuous violence.
Objectives
We aimed to explore the specificities of the subjective experience associated with encountering a work addressing incestuous violence, the effects this encounter produces, and the potential transformative processes that emerge over time.
Method
Our team interviewed eight participants, either creators or spectators, who encountered the work in its theatrical or literary forms: author, director, actress, audience. The semi-structured interviews were analyzed using the IPA method, highlighting the dominant themes in the narratives. Our study distinguishes two groups: the “involved” (connected to the creative process) and the “spectators” (focused on reception). The work is analyzed on two levels: Lafontaine's literary text and its staging by the company Jours Tranquilles.
Results
Our analysis reveals the transitional nature of the encounter with the artistic work. The potentially traumatic theme carried by Chienne first emerges as a form of repetition, affecting the spectator/the involved at the level of primary processes, bringing forth the “unthinkable” and unsymbolizable nature of its content before serving as a medium for the emergence of connection and meaning.
Interpretations
In this way, the engagement with the work opens up the potential for transforming un-symbolized experiences and allows for the renewal of intersubjective connections.

Context
In the post-#MeToo era, sexuality can no longer be conceived as the pure liberation of desire.
Objectives
This article reconsiders the promises of “unfettered enjoyment” (Kournif, Pall, Dompnier) in light of the systemic sexual violence that this utopia has sometimes obscured.
Methods
By tracing the critical reversal in discourses on sexual freedom—particularly within feminist (MacKinnon, Dworkin) and queer (Niedergang, Dustan, Rémès) circles—the paper demonstrates how the heroic paradigm of transgression collapses under the ethical imperative to reckon with vulnerability. This shift is examined through a corpus of intellectual interventions from the 1970s, now re-read in light of contemporary critiques (Alfandary, Allouch). Within this framework, psychoanalysis — especially in its articulation of fantasy, anxiety, jouissance, and the desire of the Other (Freud, Lacan) — offers a rigorous conceptual tool for reconfiguring our relationship to the sexual.
Results
Through a close reading of The Devil in Love by Cazotte, the article explores what it means to enjoy the loss: to accept the relinquishment of knowledge about desire, and to recognize that the obstacle is not external to the erotic but lies at its very core.
Interpretations
To think sexuality in this way is neither to exonerate nor to idealize it, but to confront what it demands most deeply: a fragile bond, stretched between a fading fantasy and an Other who insists—a bond made possible not despite the loss, but from within it.
